With Electrical Conductor In Slot (i.e., Winding) Patents (Class 310/216.095)
  • Patent number: 11218064
Abstract: A rotor for an electric motor includes an even number n of pole pairs arranged on a rotor body with rotor windings connected in series between two electrical connections to supply or conduct away current through the rotor windings. The series circuit has a first section including n/2 rotor windings arranged first in the series circuit, and a second section including n/2 rotor windings and arranged upstream of the second electrical connection. During application of a direct-current voltage between the two connections in each of the rotor windings of the first section, the radial component of the direct-current flow in the series circuit extends through the entire respective rotor winding, from an outer side to an inner side of the rotor winding, and in each of the rotor windings of the second section, in reverse, from an outer side to an inner side of the rotor winding.

  • Patent number: 9647515
Abstract: Relay terminals, which are formed integrally with a W-phase terminal, a V-phase terminal and a U-phase terminal provided radially outside bobbins, connect stator coils and the W-phase terminal, the V-phase terminal and the U-phase terminal. Second connection parts of the relay terminals connected to the coils are provided radially inside the W-phase terminal, the V-phase terminal and the U-phase terminal. Thus distances between the second connection part and the inner wall surface of a housing are increased to maintain insulation between the relay terminals and the housing. Thus the relay terminals are protected from breakage.

  • Patent number: 8350437
Abstract: A motor is provided that includes magnetic poles, an armature core, armature coils, a commutator, and power supply brushes. The armature core includes teeth arranged in the circumferential direction to extend in a radial pattern. The armature coils include inner layer coils and outer layer coils. Each of the inner layer coils is wound around radially proximal end portions of two circumferentially adjacent teeth or a radially proximal end portion of one of the teeth. The inner layer coils are arranged in the circumferential direction without overlapping each other in the radial direction. Each of the outer layer coils is wound around radially distal end portions of two circumferentially adjacent teeth by distributed winding. The outer layer coils are arranged radially outward of the inner layer coils and are arranged in the circumferential direction without overlapping each other in the radial direction.

  • Patent number: 7911105
Abstract: Disclosed is an improved stator for a dynamoelectric machine including a stator core which has a plurality of core slots extending axially from a first end of the stator core to a second end of the stator core. The stator also includes a stator winding having a plurality of phases. Each phase of the stator winding includes at least a first filar. The first filar extends around the stator core and form a plurality of layers and has a plurality of slot segments disposed in the plurality of core slots. The slot segments are alternately connected at the first and second ends of the stator core by a plurality of end loop segments. The slot segments are configured such that at least two consecutive slot segments are disposed in substantially the same radial position relative to additional slot segments of the plurality of slot segments disposed in the respective core slots, and the at least two consecutive slot segments are disposed at differing radial distances from a central axis of the stator core.
