Permanent Magnet On Stator Patents (Class 310/49.28)
  • Patent number: 11011951
Abstract: A brushless electric motor system having integrated power stages, said electric motor system comprising a rotor, a stator, a plurality of power stages, and a cooling system comprising a substantially flat hollow main cool body arranged to support the flowing of a cooling medium inside said hollow main cool body for cooling said main cool body, a base cooling plate connected to a first flat surface of said hollow main cool body and to said plurality of power stages for transferring heat between said plurality of power stages and said base cool plate, heat resistance inserts connected to said base cooling plate and said plurality of electrically excitable coils for transferring heat between said plurality of coils and said base cooling plate wherein said heat resistance inserts provide for a thermal conductivity, thereby creating a thermal buffer such that said electrically excitable coils are cooled less compared to said power stages, by said cooling system.

  • Patent number: 8970083
Abstract: An improved motor (90) broadly including a first member (30) and a second member (20) mounted for movement relative to one another. The first member has a plurality of poles (32) spaced substantially equidistantly. The second member has a plurality of arms (22). Each arm includes a plurality of fingers (27), a permanent magnet (29), and a coil (25). The fingers are arranged such that their distal end generally faces toward the poles on the first member. Each permanent magnet has a width that is greater than the pole spacing. Each arm is associated with one of a number of phases. The fingers of the arms within a particular phase are arranged such that they simultaneously align with respective poles when the first and second members are in one position relative to one another.

  • Patent number: 8593019
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a structure for linear and rotary electric machines. The present invention provides a modular mover structure which includes coils that have an electrical phase difference of 180°, so that the path of magnetic flux is shortened, thus reducing the size of the machine and mitigating the back-EMF unbalance. The modular mover structure can be modified into various shapes. For example, when a skew structure is applied to a mover or stator iron core, the force ripples in an electric machine can be reduced. In addition, when a hinge structure is applied to a modular mover iron core, the mover can move in a linear and curved manner. The structure of the present invention can be applied to a rotary electric machine. In this case, because the number of poles is easily increased, a low speed high torque direct drive type rotary electric machine is realized.
