Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for detecting the presence of a hidden camera on a network. When video is encoded and transmitted over/across a network, the data packet carrying the video tend to exhibit certain characteristics or features specific to video traffic from a hidden camera. A machine learning model for detecting the presence of a hidden camera can be trained based on these characteristics and features. Once trained, the machine learning model can be operationalized on an access point that can analyze real-time network traffic to determine whether a hidden camera(s) is operating on the network.

  • Patent number: 11412185
Abstract: Sensors in a facility generate sensor data associated with a region of the facility, which can be used to determine a 3D location of an object in the facility. Some sensors may sense overlapping regions of the facility. For example, a first sensor may generate data associated with a first region of the facility, while a second sensor may generate data associated with a second region of the facility that partially overlaps the first region. Sensors may fail at times as determined from sensor output data or status data. In response to identifying a failed sensor, an undetected region corresponding to the failed sensor is identified, as well as a substitute sensor that partially senses the undetected region. Sensor data from the substitute sensor, such as 2D data, is acquired and used to estimate a 3D location of an object in the undetected region.

  • Patent number: 11403772
Abstract: A system includes sensors and a tracking subsystem. The subsystem tracks a first object and one or more other objects in a space. After determining that re-identification of the first object is needed, candidate identifiers are determined for the first object. The candidate identifiers include a subset of the identifiers of all tracked objects in the space. The subset includes possible identifiers of the first object based on a history of movements of the first object and interactions of the first object with the other objects in the space. Based on a top-view image, a first descriptor is determined for the first object. The first descriptor is associated with a characteristic of the first object. Based on results of comparing the first descriptor to a set of predetermined descriptors, an updated identifier is determined for the first object.

Abstract: In a periphery monitoring apparatus, a display processing unit displays, in a display apparatus that is provided in a vehicle, a plurality of captured images that are acquired by a plurality of cameras provided in a plurality of differing positions in the vehicle and have overlapping portions in which portions of imaging areas overlap each other, such that the overlapping portions remain. A determining unit determines whether a predetermined target object to be detected is present in each of the plurality of captured images. The display processing unit includes an enlargement processing unit that enlarges at least one captured image in which the target object is determined to be present, among the plurality of captured images, and displays the captured image in the display apparatus when the determining unit determines that the target object is present in at least one of the plurality of captured images.

  • Patent number: 11393318
Abstract: Systems and methods to perform privacy-aware computer-vision-based human activity monitoring with automatic registration are disclosed. To register for tracking, consenting human subjects wear beacons that emit a beacon signal. During a predefined timing window, beacon signals are detected and compared to a predefined signal-strength threshold and compared to the signal strength of other different beacon signals detected during the same timing window. At the end of the timing window, the strongest beacon signal above the threshold is selected for registration. The tracked human activities are assessed in real-time and upon detection of activities that violated predefined rules, feedback is delivered in real-time to the tracked human subject.
