  • Patent number: 11630744
Abstract: Cloud storage provides accessible interfaces, near-instant elasticity, scalability, multi-tenancy, and metered resources in a distributed framework providing fault tolerant solutions with high data durability. Stored data may have legal or compliance requirements defining retention periods ensuring the data is preserved without modification for a period of time. However, data privacy rules such as the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation can require modification or destruction of records at any point. Further, many retention structures are user driven but users make mistakes requiring a change to the record's associated retention period. Retention period mechanism enforced with immutable storage can satisfy compliance requirements but run contrary to data privacy rules as well as blocking adjustments.

  • Patent number: 11627183
Abstract: Aspects discussed herein relate to systems, apparatuses, and methods for providing content distribution via a breadth-first approach for peer-to-peer file sharing in a temporary ad hoc mesh network. For example, a peer-to-peer orchestrator may receive requests for the same asset from multiple mobile devices, determine which of the mobile devices are likely to travel along the same route at the same time, group them together and cause transmission of different asset parts of the requested asset to different mobile devices in the group. If the mobile devices in the group lose connection with the peer-to-peer orchestrator, they may form an ad hoc mesh network and retrieve asset parts from one another. If the group reconnects with a peer-to-peer orchestrator, additional asset parts of the asset may be transmitted to the group and the process may repeat so that each mobile device may obtain each of the asset parts.

  • Patent number: 11582403
Abstract: A system for stitching images together is disclosed. The images are sometimes referred to as frames, such as frames in a video sequence. The system comprises one or more imagers (e.g. cameras) that work in coordination with a matching amount of custom code modules. The system achieves image stitching using approximately one third the Field of View (FOV) of each imager (camera) and also by increasing the number of imagers to be above a predetermined threshold. The system displays these stitched images or frames on a computer monitor, either in a still-image context but also in a video-context. Normally these tasks would involve a great detail of computation, but the system achieves these effects while managing the computational load. In stitching the images together, it is sometimes necessary to introduce some image distortion (faceting) in the combined image. The system ensures no gaps in any captured view, and assists in achieving full situational awareness for a viewer.
