The receiver is configured to generate a synchronization data based upon at least one of the data packets. The receiver is also configured to modulate the signal to encode the synchronization data in a reverse channel so that the signal comprises the forward channel data and the reverse channel data simultaneously.

  • Patent number: 9041807
Abstract: An image processing device configured to be installed in a vehicle includes an image acquirer, an image selector, a first luminance adjuster, a synthetic image generator, and an image provider. The image acquirer acquires camera images captured by cameras provided on the vehicle. The image selector selects one of the camera images as a representative image based on luminances of the camera images. The first luminance adjuster adjusts a luminance of at least one of the other camera images based on a luminance of the representative image. The synthetic image generator generates a synthetic image showing a periphery of the vehicle, based on the representative image and the other camera images the luminance of at least one of which has been adjusted by the first adjuster. The image provider outputs, to a display device installed in the vehicle, information corresponding to the synthetic image.

Abstract: A network video monitoring system includes a core-control module, a plurality of network video recording (NVR) hosts, and a plurality of cameras. The core-control module assigns the cameras to the NVR hosts respectively for controlling the camera by the NVR hosts according to status of each NVR host. In this application, the core-control module obtains the status of each NVR host periodicity for determining if the NVR hosts are over loading or failed, and re-assigns the cameras automatically for the overloaded or malfunctioned NVR hosts. The application rescues the NVR hosts from the over loading problem, and prevents the termination of the monitoring action of the cameras when one of the NVR host malfunctions.

Abstract: Information about link relations between cameras is to be accurately and readily acquired. The surveillance areas of cameras registered on a map having a surveillance region set thereon are projected onto the map. The shortest paths between the cameras registered on the map are searched for. Links between the cameras are determined based on the surveillance areas of the cameras projected on the map and the shortest paths between the cameras detected on the map. Unlike a conventional technique by which link information is manually acquired, this technique does not require a surveillance object to walk around so as to be actually captured by all the cameras, and can be applied even in a case where there is congestion in the surveillance region. Accordingly, the load on the user can be reduced.

Abstract: A system for tracking objects using an intelligent Video processing system in the context of airport surface monitoring. The system addresses airport surface monitoring operational issues such as all weather conditions, high robustness, and low false report rate. The output can be used to complement existing airport surface monitoring systems. By combining the use of multi-sensors and an adverse weather optimized system, the system is capable of producing an improved stream of information for the target object over traditional computer vision based airport surface monitoring systems.

Abstract: Improvements in a video system are presented that uses one or more camera(s) with a display system. The camera and display system operate together to allow a person to view the back or side of their head as they apply makeup or style their hair. The use of multiple cameras allows the person to view their hair, face or profile from different angles without requiring a single camera to be re-positioned or requiring the person to turn their head to view a particular area. The video system can blend the image from multiple cameras to achieve a view that is not from a single camera. The blending or morphing of the image allows the user the ability to obtain a view from nearly any angle without requiring them to move their head or adjust the camera angle.

Abstract: A DVM system is configured to include an incident trigger, which is actuated either manually or automatically in response to an “incident. In response to the actuation of the trigger, an incident identifier is defined. During the period of actuation, a plurality of recordings is automatically made, based on an incident recording protocol. These recordings are all associated with the incident identifier. The automation allows an operator to, at the time of the incident, focus on factors other than ensuring important video evidence is being recorded (such as following a subject through a building by looking at various cameras). The association streamlines subsequent review of an incident, as recordings relevant to the incident are commonly identifiable based on the incident identifier.
