  • Patent number: 9900546
Abstract: A monitoring system has a monitor connected to a monitoring camera and a monitoring recorder via a network. The monitor checks whether the monitoring recorder is in a recordable state or in an unrecordable state of monitoring video data, and if the monitor confirms an unrecordable state of the monitoring recorder, the monitor 3 transmits a control signal for instructing the monitoring camera to start video recording. Receiving the control signal instructing to start the video recording, the monitoring camera records the monitoring video data it takes in its own storage medium.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a distributed automatic notification method for abnormality in remote massive monitors. If a data stream is not available, a disconnect prompt stream is generated. The data stream is converted to a continuous video. Then, the continuous video is divided into a plurality of single-frame images along the time axis, and each single-frame image is divided into a plurality of image grids. A plurality of pixels are next selected from each image grid. According to a plurality of image parameter values corresponding to the plurality of pixels, a statistical value of image grid parameter is calculated. Then whether an image grid is monochromatic can be judged according to the statistical value of image grid parameter. When a plurality of continuous single-frame images are judged to be monochromatic single-frame images, the color of the monochromatic single-frame images can be further judged.

Based on the pre-processing, an image of the potential suspect to use in matching against the watch list is determined and the determined image is used to search sorted biometric data included in the watch list. A subset of persons from the watch list is identified based on the search and parallel analysis of the determined image of the potential suspect against detailed biometric data associated with the subset of persons in the watch list is controlled. Based on the parallel analysis, it is determined whether the potential suspect matches a person in the watch list and a result is outputted based on the determination.

  • Patent number: 9482792
Abstract: A security device for projecting a collection of synthetic images as well as a computer-implemented method for producing such a security device are provided. The synthetic images may represent different viewpoints of a target object or image that change from one viewpoint image to another viewpoint image as the location of the observer changes relative to the device. The nature of each synthetic image can, however, be completely arbitrary, much like the images that are provided by a display device such as a television or computer monitor. In an exemplary embodiment, a special symmetry is used to generate the synthetic images, which allows the device to be manufactured without regard for registration.

Abstract: A system for producing a visual representation of an object includes a structure for at least partially circumscribing the object, a plurality of still cameras mounted in fixed relation to each other, and at least one computer processor. The one or more computer processors trigger the plurality of still cameras to capture a plurality of still images of the object, create the visual representation of the object by, at least in part, arranging at least some of the plurality of still images in an order, and transmit a digital file that includes the visual representation of the object to a storage medium accessible by a user device. The visual representation of the object is user manipulable to permit presenting the visual representation in more than one way.

  • Patent number: 9449258
Abstract: A target object captured by a first camera is identified in images captured by a second camera. A reference platoon comprising the target object and other objects is generated using first camera images. A reference group characterizing the objects in the reference platoon is generated by running a first set of trained classifiers over the reference platoon, the first set of trained classifiers trained to characterize objects captured by the first camera. Candidate platoons are generated using second camera images. Candidate groups characterizing objects in the candidate platoons are obtained by running an independently trained second set of classifiers over the candidate platoons, the second set characterizing objects captured by the second camera. Candidate groups are compared to the reference group, and a best matching candidate platoon is selected. The target object is identified in the selected candidate platoon based on the object's position in the reference platoon.

Abstract: A device-controlling system configures, monitors, and controls one or more interfacing devices, such that an interfacing device can obtain and disseminate sensor data from one or more attached physical devices that include sensors for measuring physical attributes. During operation, the system can configure an interfacing device by establishing a network connection with an interfacing device, and determining one or more rules for the interfacing device. A rule can indicate an action description for performing an action, and indicates a condition that indicates criteria for processing the rule's action description. The system can configure the interfacing device to process its associated rules.

Abstract: Described herein are methods and devices that employ a plurality of image sensors to capture a target image of a scene. As described, positioning at least one reflective or refractive surface near the plurality of image sensors enables the sensors to capture together an image of wider field of view and longer focal length than any sensor could capture individually by using the reflective or refractive surface to guide a portion of the image scene to each sensor. The different portions of the scene captured by the sensors may overlap, and may be aligned and cropped to generate the target image.
