Abstract: An LED base plate enabling the LED to emit high luminance white light. The base plate has a reflective surface, and protrusions disposed on the reflective surface have top portions formed with curved surfaces. The protrusions have bottom widths of 2 to 4 micrometers and heights of 1.2 to 1.8 micrometers, with adjacent protrusions having spaces of 0.6 to 3 micrometers. An InGaN epitaxy layer is coated on the reflective surface of the base plate and emits ultraviolet of wavelength in the range of 380 to 410 nanometer when the InGaN epitaxy layer is electrified. Ultraviolet light reflected by the reflective surface of the base plate and the protrusions stimulates and mixes fluorescent compounds of zinc oxide and yttrium aluminum garnet to generate complementary light of ultraviolet light. High luminance white light scatteringly emitted is used for illumination.

Abstract: A reflector is rotatably coupled to a light emitting diode (LED) module assembly. The reflector includes multiple alignment features that correspond with multiple notches provided in a reflector attachment coupled to a LED light source. The reflector can be made of a non-conductive substrate material, such as glass, and can have a non-conductive, reflective coating deposited on the inner surface of the reflector to allow the reflector to be more closely positioned to the LED light source. Reflector attachments can help to maintain precise reflector position during coupling with the LED light source. Media holders can be removably coupled to the light emitting portion of the reflector and provide for the quick mounting and placement of one or more optical media in the light path output by the reflector.

  • Patent number: 8309421
Abstract: The present invention generally relates to methods of controlling UV lamp output to increase irradiance uniformity. The methods generally include determining a baseline irradiance within a chamber, determining the relative irradiance on a substrate corresponding to a first lamp and a second lamp, and determining correction or compensation factors based on the relative irradiances and the baseline irradiance. The lamps are then adjusted via closed loop control using the correction or compensation factors to individually adjust the lamps to the desired output. The lamps may optionally be adjusted to equal irradiances prior to adjusting the lamps to the desired output. The closed loop control ensures process uniformity from substrate to substrate. The irradiance measurement and the correction or compensation factors allow for adjustment of lamp set points due to chamber component degradation, chamber component replacement, or chamber cleaning.
