Abstract: Mitigation of inter-base station resynchronization loss in wireless networks including contention-based shared frequency spectrum is discussed. Aspects of such mitigation provide for base stations entering into an idle mode when a transmission opportunity occurs in a radio frame of the next resynchronization occasion. Additional aspects provide for the base station to signal a flexible listen before talk (LBT) frame length to the user equipment (UE), either with or without explicit signaling of the downlink-uplink division. Further aspects provide for the base station to signal a reset indication to UEs that will prompt the UEs to monitor for downlink channel reserving signals prior to the current LBT frame ending by the resynchronization occasion.

  • Patent number: 10489319
Abstract: Various embodiments are disclosed for automatic transmission of dummy bits in a serial bus master. The disclosed embodiments allow a single DMA descriptor to be fetched from memory for the reception of a specified amount of data. Dummy bits can be located or generated in the serial bus master either as a user configurable value or a default value. Logic in the serial bus master initiates a data transfer by writing a count value representing an amount of data to be received to a count register in the serial bus master. The single DMA descriptor is then configured to handle the internal transfer of bits received by the serial bus master from a serial bus slave and the DMA controller is enabled. When data transfer is initiated, the serial bus master starts sending dummy bits to the serial bus slave and receiving data bits from the serial bus slave.

A first command is transmitted to devices coupled to a serial bus operated in a first mode in accordance with a first protocol to cause the serial bus to be operated in a second mode. After communicating in accordance with a second protocol while the serial bus is operated in the second mode, a second command is transmitted to the plurality of devices in accordance with the first protocol to terminate the second mode. Abstract: Multicast transmissions are efficient but do not allow for individual acknowledgement that the data was received by each receiver. This is not acceptable for isochronous systems that require specific levels of QoS for each device. Abstract: Described herein are techniques related to data communications using a data packet having at least one frame with a robust preamble for use over media having a high degree of non-stationary noise (e.g., impulsive noise). The described techniques employ a preamble with a structure having multiple transitions between the preamble sections. Each transition indicates the start of the upcoming frame. With the techniques described herein, if noise damages the transitions between such sections beyond recognition, the receiver can still determine the frame start time from the one or more of the undamaged transitions. Thus, the robustness of communications via the noisy media is significantly increased. This Abstract is submitted with the understanding that it will not be used to interpret or limit the scope or meaning of the claims.

  • Patent number: 9921998
Abstract: Systems, methods and apparatus are described that offer improved performance of a sensor bus. In the second mode, extra symbols inserted into a sequence of symbols transmitted on the serial bus prevent the occurrence of an unintended signaling state on the serial bus. Pulses transmitted on a wire of the serial bus in the second mode may have their duration limited such that a filter of a second device suppresses the limited-duration pulses.
