Abstract: Apparatuses and methods concerning routing of calls in an IPBX server are disclosed. As an example, one apparatus includes an IPBX server configured to route VOIP calls for a plurality of end-users having respective VoIP-enabled circuit devices communicatively coupled to the IPBX server via a communications network. A processing circuit is communicatively coupled to the IPBX server. The processing circuit is configured to receive call event messages corresponding to a plurality of end-users from the IPBX server and generate call models from the call event messages. The processing circuit also generates call summary metrics from the call models. In response to an input query, the processing circuit evaluates the call summary metrics for a parameter of interest specified in the input query to generate data for the parameter of interest.

Abstract: A method performed by a first node (111) managing a P-CSCF in a first communications network (101). The method is for handling identification of a second communications network (201). One of the communications networks is a home network and the other is a visited network. The first node (111) obtains (701) a unique identifier uniquely identifying the second communications network (201) in a plurality of networks (200) sharing a Mobile Network identifier. The unique identifier is based on: a) an MCC and an MNC, corresponding to a shared PLMN identifier, and b) a subscriber identifier corresponding to the second network (201). The first node (111) also processes (702) provision of an IMS service across the communications networks, to a device (230) operating in the visited network, based on the identifier. Abstract: A network device executes an account management function that pre-authorizes network service unit consumption by multiple subscribers that are members of a same, shared network service account. The account management function receives, from multiple charging systems distributed within the network, network unit consumption charges associated with each of the multiple subscribers, where the network device is centrally located within a network relative to multiple locations associated with the plurality of charging systems. The account management function updates a consumption counter for the same, shared network service account based on the network unit consumption charges associated with the multiple subscribers received from the multiple charging systems distributed within the network.

Abstract: One or more aspects of the disclosure relate to various functions and processes related to routing of calls based on origination and/or destination information. In one aspect, a method may comprise receiving a request for a call session, and the request may include an indicator that may indicate whether to route a call based on origination and/or destination information of the call session. Based on the indicator, a routing element may determine whether the call session should be routed based on origination information and/or destination information.

Abstract: A central processing unit can offload table lookup or tree traversal to an offload engine. The offload engine can provide hardware accelerated operations such as instruction queueing, bit masking, hashing functions, data comparisons, a results queue, and a progress tracking. The offload engine can be associated with a last level cache. In the case of a hash table lookup, the offload engine can apply a hashing function to a key to generate a signature, apply a comparator to compare signatures against the generated signature, retrieve a key associated with the signature, and apply the comparator to compare the key against the retrieved key. Accordingly, a data pointer associated with the key can be provided in the result queue. Acceleration of operations in tree traversal and tuple search can also occur.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method, system, and/or computer program product provides security in a communication network between a user device and a computer related device, and receives payment for services offered through a distributed registry associated with the communication network. One or more processors provide a distributed registry that specifies a plurality of services available to support communications between a user device and a computer related device on a communication network. The processor(s) dynamically construct one or more multi-node transient processing pathways between the user device and the computer related device based on the services. The processor(s) present the plurality of services specified by the distributed registry to the user device, and append metadata describing a current cryptocurrency cost of the services.

Abstract: Systems and methods for enabling sharing of call and/or messaging services between mobile devices via wireless connection, e.g. a Bluetooth connection. The systems and methods allow a first mobile user to register as a host user. A guest user sends a service sharing request, via the Bluetooth connection, to the host user's mobile device requesting permission to make calls and/or send messages using the host user's mobile account. When the host user accepts the service sharing request, the service sharing system inserts an identification code of the guest user in the call data record to help identify the actual call/message originating party. Once a transaction is established between the guest user's mobile device and the destination number, via the Bluetooth connection to the host user's mobile device, the service sharing system may monitor the transaction duration to ensure that it does not exceed the specified call duration or other limit.

Abstract: A system and method of a telephony application platform can include receiving a communication session request specifying a destination endpoint, connecting the communication session through a first application module according to the destination endpoint, receiving an instruction to transition communication control to a second application module, transitioning communication control of the communication session to the second application module, independently metering resource usage of the communication session of each application module, and accounting the metered usage of the communication session.

Abstract: A system and method for predicting behavior and/or outcomes related to a consumer's experience with an organization are implemented. Household data for households that are associated with a customer service interaction as of a certain date is collected, the household data having been created over a first pre-determined period of time preceding the certain date. The household data is analyzed to identify positive household data sets and negative household data sets. The positive household data sets relate to customer service interactions which preceded a high level customer service interaction within a subsequent period of time and the negative household data sets relate to customer service transactions which did not precede a high level customer service interaction with the subsequent period of time.

Abstract: Example charging methods and apparatus are described. One example method includes sending a service resource create request to a charging system by a charging trigger apparatus. The charging trigger apparatus receives a service resource create response sent by the charging system. The service resource create request is used to request the charging system to create a service resource corresponding to a service in a session. The session is used to provide a data connection service to user equipment. The service resource is used to manage requesting for a quota for the service in the session and/or manage reporting of usage information of the service in the session. The service resource create response includes a first resource identifier, and the first resource identifier is used to identify the service resource that corresponds to the service in the session and that is created by the charging system.

Abstract: Call propensity source data may be received that include a first percentage of call propensity source data that correspond to presence of post-visit phone calls to a customer service of an entity after some customer visits to a web site of an entity and a second percentage of call propensity source data that correspond to absence of post-visit phone calls to the customer service after other customer visits to the website. A machine-learning model is trained based on a plurality of features in at least a portion of the call propensity source data to generate a trained machine-learning model. The trained machine-learning model is applied to multiple features included in at least one of corresponding website activity data and corresponding activity error data of a customer to generate a probability score that measures a likelihood of the customer calling the customer service regarding an issue that is unresolved via the website.

Abstract: This disclosure provides aspects and embodiments of methods, services, and platforms for prompting users with a zero account balance to send a callback message to a contact informing the contact that the user cannot call them and asking the contact to call the user. This disclosure further provides location determining platforms and rewards platforms for users.

Abstract: Embodiments described herein include methods and systems for remotely managing appliances, including enabling communication between a user of the appliance and third party systems. The third party systems can include any entity that has a relationship with the user of the appliance, such as a payment infrastructure handling incremental payments for the appliance, and managing access to the appliance accordingly. In some embodiments, the appliance being controlled is a mobile phone that also includes third party operating system software. Various methods for preventing alteration or replacement of the third party operating system are also described.

Abstract: An electronic trading system (ETS) implements risk mitigation methods for orders and quotes associated with a market participant on the ETS. The methods determine a measure of risk associated with one or more trading positions. One of the methods globally counts the number of breaches of risk thresholds associated with a trading symbol and market participant across all matching engines on the ETS over a rolling time period, and if this global risk counter exceeds a maximum, disables all further trades by the market participant on the ETS. Another method limits the number of automatic re-enablements that a market participant can request in response to prior breaches of risk thresholds that resulted in disabling any further trading by the market participant on the ETS.

Abstract: Information for a payment account of a user of a transit system may be received. A risk analysis may be performed using the information for the payment account based on one or more parameters to determine a risk score for the user. The risk score for the user may be provided to a transit payment system. Whether the user is a high risk based on the risk score may be determined. If the user is a high risk, payment or payment authorization from the user via the transit payment system may be required before the user exits the transit system.

Abstract: A computer-implemented network verification system includes a second device situated in a terminating call network and configured to receive a call signal from a first device situated in an originating network. The first device is coupled to a first registry that stores originating call records. The first registry is configured to obtain, from the first device, and store call data and a SIP identity header associated with the call signal. The system also includes a second registry coupled to the second device and configured to receive, from the first registry over an out-of-band verification network, a first verification request that contains the originating call record, including the SIP identity header associated with the call signal. The second registry is further configured to send the SIP identity header contained in the first verification request to the second device.

Abstract: A method for generating and presenting bills in a bill timeline is described. A bill generation system receives a request to generate a bill timeline including bill related information for a plurality of bills corresponding to a plurality of billing periods. The system determines, from the request, a charge type of each of the charges included in the request and a length of time associated with the charge. The system generates a plurality of visual content items, each of which corresponds to a respective charge of the plurality of charges. The system generates the bill timeline including a plurality of segments, each corresponding to a respective billing period. The system inserts, in the generated bill timeline, the generated visual content items in respective locations within the bill timeline according to a content insertion policy. The system displays, on a computing device, the bill timeline including the generated visual content items.

Abstract: The system protects an account through the use of tokens, thereby eliminating the need to expose the primary account identifier during a transaction. If a primary account identifier is compromised, any use of the primary account identifier to facilitate a fraudulent purchase or settlement transaction may be blocked by the system. The system is configured to receive a payment authorization request including a payment account first identifier. The payment account first identifier serves as a search condition for a query, which is executed against a database to retrieve payment account information, if the payment account information exists. The system sends a decline response in response to the payment account first identifier and a primary account identifier from the payment account information being the same, indicating that a primary account is being used.

Abstract: A method, system and non-transitory computer-readable medium for operating a storage engine are disclosed. With respect to a data file, a compaction value is obtained and a counter is retrieved. The compaction value indicates the minimum number of valid records in the data file for a clean-up process to be initiated. In response to the counter satisfying a first criterion, a determination is made, for each record in the data file, as to whether the record is written to another data file based on the record satisfying a second criterion. A write amplification factor of the storage engine is determined based on the compaction value. The counter indicates the number of records in the data file that are invalid. The write amplification factor and a space amplification factor are configurable; the storage engine may be tuned based on workloads, desired write throughput, desired storage utilization, and bandwidth of a storage device.

Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, selecting a first pathway of available pathways during a first time period according to predicted opportunities for a mobile communication device to access a first network via the available pathways, and directing transmission of first data to the mobile communication device via the first pathway during the first time period, wherein a presence of a second data at the mobile communication device enables an application to access the first data at the mobile communication device. Abstract: A system detects abnormalities in a call signal indicative of call fraud. The system includes a first device situated in an originating call network and configured to send call signals to a second device situated in a terminating call network. The first device is coupled to a first registry to which it sends the call data from the sent signals for storage as originating call records. The second device is coupled to a second registry to which it sends the call data from the received signals for storage as terminating call records. The first and second registries exchange verification requests and responses to detect whether discrepancies exist between the stored originating call records in the first registry and stored terminating call records in the second registry. The registries generate alerts based on detected discrepancies, which may be used by the devices to block the call fraud.

A central lottery system is provided that accepts lottery ticket purchasing orders from a remote terminal. The central lottery system may keep track of a progressive jackpot and disseminate the latest jackpot size information to communication presentation devices via various communication links.

Abstract: Methods and systems are presented for a fraud risk score to be given to a merchant for a proposed transaction with a consumer. The fraud risk score is generated by a payment account service provider, such as a credit card processor, using information from a pending transaction as well as information from other payment accounts that the consumer holds to which the payment account service provider is privy. Various factors, including indicators of elevated risk in other payment accounts, are custom-weighted by the merchant for the score.

Abstract: A system described herein may provide for the selection of a charging function (“CHF”) associated with a particular user equipment (“UE”). A particular CHF may be selected, from a group of candidate CHFs, based on CHF selection criteria respectively associated with the candidate CHFs and attribute information associated with the UE. The attribute information may describe attributes of the UE, profile information associated with the UE, and/or attributes of traffic and/or bearers associated with the UE.

Abstract: One wireless telecommunications system includes a Mobile Central Office (MCO) for capacity sharing via a master scheduling system. The MCO is communicatively coupled to a plurality of wireless base stations, each being operable to handle a session from a wireless device and to handoff the session to another wireless base station when the wireless device moves into a range of the other base station. Each of the wireless base stations is operable to convey capacity information to the master scheduling system through the MCO, and to acquire capacity from one or more wireless base stations of another MCO when directed by the master scheduling system.

The at least one optional field and required field may receive input for conducting a money transfer. Abstract: A system, method and computer-readable medium for allowing the use of an alternative numbering plan for delivering short messages to mobile subscribers using the public mobile telephone network is provided. Users of an enterprise or other closed networks as well as users that are not part of a closed network may send short messages destined to members of an enterprise or closed network from their mobile or other devices associated with their subscription using an alternative enterprise directory number, such as the office number, instead of the mobile number, such that the alternative number will be presented at the destination device as the originating number. The recipient may respond to the message by addressing the response to the enterprise or closed network number, and the response may be delivered to the originator's mobile or other device associated with their subscription.

For example, a system comprises a platform including a feedback management component comprising an analytics engine capable of analyzing feedback from a plurality of users, wherein the analyzing comprises gathering data from the plurality of users, processing the data to derive at least one trend from the data, and formatting a presentation of the data to enumerate the at least one trend. Abstract: A churn prediction system includes at least one hardware processor, a memory including a historical sample set of subscriber data, and a churn prediction engine executing on the at least one hardware processor. The churn prediction engine is configured to identify the historical sample set, identify a set of attributes, automatically select a subset of attributes based on an information gain value, generate a decision tree by recursively generating nodes of the decision tree by computing an information gain value for each remaining attribute of the subset of attributes, identifying a highest attribute having the highest information gain value, and assigning the highest attribute to the node. The churn prediction engine is also configured to receive target data for a target subscriber, apply the target data to the decision tree, thereby generating a churn prediction for the target subscriber, and identify the target subscriber as a churn prediction.

Abstract: Techniques and apparatus for providing payment-based transmission processes are described. In one embodiment, for example, a network node may include a storage device, and logic, at least a portion of the logic implemented in circuitry coupled to the storage device. The logic may operate to provide a routing query to transmit information over a network, the routing query comprising at least one destination node for the information and a transmission value, receive at least one bid from at least one bidding node in response to the routing query, determine a path through the network to transmit the information anonymously based on the at least one bid that corresponds to the transmission value, and transmit the information at least partially anonymously via the path within a network packet encrypted in a number of layers of encryption corresponding to a number of intermediary nodes in the path. The method includes: obtaining a call detail record set, wherein each call detail record includes a charging condition, a charging unit and a fee deduction that are under the charging condition; grouping a plurality of call detail records to obtain a call detail record group, wherein a same value corresponding to a charging unit in the call detail record group has a correspondence with a unique fee value corresponding to a fee deduction; analyzing the call detail record group to obtain a data feature; selecting a target tariff model corresponding to the data feature; determining a parameter value corresponding to each tariff parameter in the target tariff model; and determining tariff data based on the parameter value, the target tariff model, and the charging condition.

Abstract: A preferred route may be determined from an origin location to a destination location. The determination is made by processing directed links (e.g., one-way edges) in a graph that includes one or more links and two or more nodes. The determination of a preferred route may include an estimate of the time required at one or more intersections along alternative. Individual routing preferences, such as a preference of a rural over an urban route, also may be considered. Techniques are described that may help reduce the time required to identify a preferred route, including the identification and removal of no outlet routes before processing the directed links and techniques using particular data formats.

Abstract: The present embodiments describe methods and systems for intercepting unauthorized communications in a controlled-environment facility. Unauthorized communications may originate from contraband cell phones, for example. In an embodiment, attempted communications from the contraband communication device are intercepted by the facility communication systems. The attempted communication may or may not be connected or completed, depending upon facility rules, policies, and regulations.

Abstract: A novel item payment settlement system is configured such that during a purchasing processes for items of differing purchase charges performed through an application on a mobile phone, connections are made to phone numbers having different connection charges, so that purchase charges of the items can be paid in the form of mobile phone connection charges, and a method therefor. Data in which a different phone number is associated in advance with each of purchase prices is retrieved from a memory, and a user identification signal such as a mobile phone number or the like is sent by making a call to the outside, whereby it is possible for an outside party to identify from the incoming phone number an amount that is to be paid; and further, the user number that is to pay can be easily determined.

Abstract: A system that incorporates teachings of the present disclosure may include, for example, a computer-readable storage medium in a telephone having computer instructions to execute a web server application in the telephone. The web server application can be operable to detect an incoming plain old telephone service call, identify a calling party identifier from the incoming plain old telephone service call, and direct one of a plurality of devices detected by web server application to present the calling party identifier. Abstract: A system and apparatus for selectively limiting user control of a mobile electronic device are provided. In an embodiment, the apparatus may be a case sized to receive a mobile electronic device, the case having a locking means to at least partially secure an opening thereof. When engaged, the locking means may be physically impenetrable by the user of the mobile electronic device and may further be configured to engage and disengage in the presence of one or more pre-determined conditions. For example, the lock may engage when the case is detected within a certain geographical region or even during a specified time. It is contemplated that providing disclosed systems and apparatuses may reduce undesirable behavior at communal events by eliminating distractions posed by mobile electronic devices and preventing unauthorized recordings, which together may enhance overall engagement at and enjoyment of such events.

Abstract: Systems and methods are described herein for recharging prepaid accounts within a telecommunications provider, such as a network carrier, using information provided by postpaid account subscribers. For example, the systems and methods facilitate the receipt of instructions from mobile devices associated with postpaid accounts. Upon receipt of the messages, the systems and methods (such as systems within a charging system of the network carrier or provider) identify intended or recipient mobile devices associated with prepaid accounts. Once identified, the systems and methods recharge the prepaid accounts, based on the instructions received from the postpaid account mobile devices.

Abstract: A toll-free tagging service is provided that includes a subscription-based service that is made available to responsible organizations, consumers and businesses. The toll-free tagging service may provide the ability to tag a toll-free number (or group of numbers), and once a number is tagged, to track updates to that number that may then be distributed to customers through emails/text messages or other means. Subscribers of the toll-free tagging service may also have the ability to create, view, update and delete tags through a web application, mobile application, or some other user interface.

Abstract: Placing calls in a non-disturbing manner that includes receiving, by a communication server from a caller endpoint device, a request to place a call to a called endpoint device, wherein the request comprises an indication that the called endpoint device is to be notified about the call in a non-disturbing manner. The communication server also receives from the caller endpoint device, a time period for which a user of the caller endpoint device is available to receive a callback from the called endpoint device, a context associated with the call. Then, the communication server can forward to the called endpoint device, the call, wherein the call includes the time period and the context associated with the call.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an ear-set, an ear-set system, and a method for controlling the same. An ear-set according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: an ear-set body comprising a communication module, which can conduct short-range communication with an external audio source device, and which receives an audio signal from the audio source device, a memory unit, which stored user setting information, an audio adjustment unit, which adjusts the magnitude of an input audio signal on the basis of the stored user setting information, and an audio output unit, which outputs the adjusted audio signal; and an ear-set housing, which contains the ear-set body on one side thereof, and which provides the ear-set body with electric charging in the contained state.

Abstract: A method for determining a likelihood of fraud associated with an input identity record is disclosed herein. The disclosed method contemplates determining characteristics of the input identity record by examining content of one or more fields of the input identity record. Historical identity records related to the input identity record may then be retrieved so as to define a set of linked identity records. The method further includes computing one or more network-based features of the set of linked identity records. A fraud score may then be generated based upon the characteristics of the input identity record and the one or more network-based features.
