Abstract: A method of playing media content in a telecommunication network is disclosed. The method involves uploading media content on a server (100) by a caller device (400). The method further includes selecting at least one callee device (500) from a contact list of the device (400) via a predefined application (300). Further, the method includes forwarding the content from the server to a selected callee device (500). The method is followed by outputting the content by the application (300) on the selected device (500). The content is selected by the device (400), and the content is output at least one of when the selected device (500) is receiving a call from the device (400) or the selected device (500) is commencing the call to the device (400), the content being played on the selected device (500) by capturing ring signal via a ring signal capturing module (250).

Abstract: An audio controlled assistant captures environmental noise and converts the environmental noise into audio signals. The audio signals are provided to a system which analyzes the audio signals for a plurality of audio prompts, which have been customized for the acoustic environment surrounding the audio controlled assistant by an acoustic modeling system. The system configured to detect the presence of an audio prompt in the audio signals and transmit instructions associated with the detected audio prompt to at least one of the audio controlled assistant or one or more cloud based services, in response.

Abstract: Systems and methods are described for transmitting and receiving a multimedia content to and fro between a caller mobile device and a callee mobile device in which the multimedia content is from the device of the users involved during ring time of a voice call, streaming live and in real time, and not from any third party multimedia storage server. An aspect of the present disclosure also states that the callee can also reply to the caller by transmitting multimedia content to the caller during the ring time of the voice call, streaming live and in real time.

Abstract: Systems and methods of caller identification differentiation via machine learning techniques are disclosed. In one embodiment, an exemplary computer-implemented method may include: receiving a permission indicator identifying a permission by the user to detect calls being received by a computing device; receiving an indication of a current call being received; utilizing a trained call differentiation machine learning model to determine a likelihood that the current call is of a first call type or a second call type, where the first call type is associated with a first type of activity and the second call type is associated with a second type of activity.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems and methods capable of establishing a communication session between a customer and an analyst. The contents of the communication session are analyzed to make recommendations of goods and services to the customer. Otherwise, the communication session may be redirected from one channel, for example, chatting to another channel, for example, voice call, to another analyst. The customer's information and the communication session details are retained, and provided to another analyst before the customer is redirected. Such systems, apparatuses, methods, and computer program products use real-time machine learning scoring algorithm to determine which analyst the customers should be transferred to, and thereby saving a lot of time for both the analysts and the customers, and significantly reduce misroutes by eliminating human errors.

Abstract: A system and method of providing caller identification (ID) over a public switched telephone network (PSTN). For outbound calls, the system and method enable a caller to provide a caller ID that differs from the native caller ID of their mobile phone. The system and method enable multiple phones tied to a single account to display the same caller ID for outbound calls. For forwarded inbound calls, such as calls being forwarded from an office, the system and method inform the recipient of the identification of the call as well as that the call is being forwarded. The system and method enable the recipient to have calls forwarded from more than one number and identify the identity of the caller as well as the specific number the call is being forwarded from.

Abstract: Techniques for behavioral pairing in a contact center system are disclosed. In one particular embodiment, the techniques may be realized as a method for pairing in a contact center including ordering one or more contacts, ordering one or more agents, comparing a first difference in ordering between a first contact and a first agent in a first pair with a second difference in ordering between a second contact and a second agent in a second pair, and selecting the first pair or the second pair for connection based on the comparing, wherein the first contact and the second contact are different or the first agent and the second agent are different.

Abstract: Embodiments of this application disclose an incoming call alert method and a terminal. The incoming call alert method includes: receiving an incoming call request; and invoking an audio/video player of a system to play audio/video corresponding to the incoming call request. The audio/video player is disposed in a system of the terminal in the embodiments of this application, so that when the terminal receives the incoming call request, the system of the terminal can play the audio/video used for incoming call alert. In this way, the terminal can alert a user by playing the audio/video without occupying additional system resources. In addition, an animation of the video and a caller ID display interface that are displayed by the terminal are integrated in terms of a visual effect, thereby improving use experience of the user.

In one particular embodiment, the techniques may be realized as a method for pairing in a contact center including ordering one or more contacts, ordering one or more agents, comparing a first difference in ordering between a first contact and a first agent in a first pair with a second difference in ordering between a second contact and a second agent in a second pair, and selecting the first pair or the second pair for connection based on the comparing, wherein the first contact and the second contact are different or the first agent and the second agent are different.

The one or more communications campaigns include a grouping of related fingerprints and patterns that identify a sequence of characters, audio or video associated with instances of a same likely campaigns, either legitimate or illegitimate/fraudulent.

Abstract: A system and method for providing telephone event data are described. The system comprises a communications module; a processor coupled to the communications module; and a memory coupled to the processor, the memory storing processor-executable instructions which, when executed by the processor, configure the processor to receive, via the communications module and from a telco server, telephone event data; translate at least a portion of the telephone event data into a format compliant with a particular application executing on a computing device; and send, via the communications module and to the computing device executing the particular application, the translated portion of the telephone event data.

Abstract: When a caller initiates a conversation with an interactive voice response (“IVR”) system, the caller may be transferred to a live agent. Apparatus and methods are provided for integrating automated tools and artificial intelligence (“AI”) into the interaction with the IVR system. The automated tools and AI may track the conversation to decipher when to transfer the caller to the agent. The agent may determine which machine generated responses are appropriate for the caller. AI may be leveraged to suggest responses for both caller and agent while they are interacting with each other. The agent may transfer back the caller to the IVR system along with the appropriate machine generated response to maintain efficiency and shorten time of human agent interaction.

Abstract: A method, device, and system for creating a communication group among a plurality of mobile communication devices. The method includes creating a first trigger condition, at a first mobile communication device, the first trigger condition including detection of a second mobile communication device in an area. A context data message that includes the first trigger condition and the area definition is sent by the first mobile communication device to a communication beacon having a range that includes the area. When the first trigger condition occurs and when the first mobile communication device is outside the area, receive a group call at the first mobile communication device from the second mobile communication device.

Abstract: Techniques are described for multicast service translation. A router can provide access to a particular source for an Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) channel that is most appropriate for the subscriber despite the subscriber requesting the IPTV channel from a different source. The most appropriate source can be identified based upon a bit rate or quality of service associated with the subscriber and/or a bit rate or quality of service associated with each of one or more alternate sources of the IPTV channel. The router can receive a request to join a multicast stream from a client device of the subscriber that identifies a source associated with an IPTV channel, identify a different source of the IPTV channel for that subscriber, and transmit a different join request destined to the different source.

Abstract: Techniques and examples pertaining to identifying a participant of a teleconference using a telephone number or an Internet protocol (IP) address are described. A method for teleconferencing participant identification may involve receiving an IP-based telephone call that includes a telephone number or an IP address. The method may also involve querying databases with the telephone number or the IP address to obtain identifications associated with the telephone number or the IP address. The method may also involve determining a display name for the IP-based telephone call based on the identifications, as well as connecting the IP-based telephone call as a participant to a teleconference that includes other participants. The method may further involve transmitting the display name to a device associated with at least one of the other participants of the teleconference.

Abstract: A text message transmission apparatus and a method thereof are provided. The text message transmission apparatus includes a mobile network communication module, a subscriber line interface circuit (SLIC) module and a processor. The mobile network communication module receives a text message. The SLIC module is configured to connect to a traditional telephone set in a public switched telephone network (PSTN). The processor is coupled to the mobile network communication module and the SLIC module. The processor decodes the text message to obtain a text content of the text message, transforms the text content into a speech content, and plays back the speech content through the SLIC module. Accordingly, the text messages can be transmitted through the PSTN.

Abstract: User interface elements relating to fitness may be shared between user devices. These user interface elements may be updated based at least in part on activity data of users associated with the user devices. A user may determine a length of time for sharing their user interface elements. Once a sharing relationship between at least two users has been established, updates corresponding to user interface elements may be shared between the users via their respective user devices.

Abstract: A wake from OFF state system is described that enhances power adapters and battery chargers that have been shut completely off in efforts to conserve energy. Wake from OFF state devices may be used to automate the otherwise tedious process of turning on a power switch. A wake from OFF state device is distinguished from a wake from sleep state device which continues to consume some amount of power to operate in a standby mode. A wake from OFF state power adapter can be turned fully off and left off indefinitely. There are no active standby circuits, no power consumption, no active logic, no emissions, no heat, when the device is in this OFF state. Wake from OFF state is useful for a variety of devices including (but not limited to) smartphones, portable computers, power tools, electric vehicles, and rechargeable batteries.

Abstract: A communication device and method can include one or more processors operatively coupled to memory and an audible output device, where the one or more processors receive a call from a calling party that includes caller identification information and a voice paging message associated with the caller identification information, presenting the caller identification information, presenting the voice paging message as an alias of or to a ring tone or interleaved with the ring tone before the call from the calling party is answered or rejected. Abstract: A system and method for integrating voice and data operations into a single mobile device capable of simultaneously performing data and voice actions. The mobile device working in a network capable of exchanging both cell phone calls and data items to the mobile device. By wearing an earphone or an ear-bud device the user is capable of dealing with voice conversations while working with data centric information related to the current caller. By providing a data-centric device with voice capabilities there is a new range of features that allow incoming data events to trigger outgoing voice events.

Abstract: Mechanisms are provided for determining contact-related information items for presentation to a user, such that the user can refer to the information items to enhance the user's communication with the contact. Contact-related information items that have a high relevance level may be accessed and presented to the user. In a case in which no or limited high relevance level information items exist, contact-related information items associated with incrementally lower levels of relevance may be accessed and presented. Moreover, according to some example embodiments, relevance may be derived based on the relationship of the user with the particular contact and/or the frequency of communications with the contact.

Abstract: VoIP telephone systems and methods are provided for use in a noisy listening environment. The systems and methods provide high quality voice broadcast into the noisy listening environment through independent voice channels which makes it easier for the human brain to discern broadcast words from the background noise.

The device receives a selection of a physical address corresponding to the location in the map of the indicator when the selection is made. Abstract: Methods and systems of providing caller information are provided. Exemplary systems and methods provide location information for audio files including the caller information. The location information can be used to retrieve the audio information, which can be played on a call recipient's device, and/or a translation of the audio information, which can be displayed on the call recipient's device.

Abstract: A connection manager manages connections for associated user devices by determining whether an incoming connection has been answered at a user device, and if so then generating and transmitting silencing commands to associated user devices using first and second wireless communication modes, with one mode being faster. Connections can comprise phone calls, and modes can comprise push and Bluetooth® messaging. The connection manager can instruct device outputs to provide connection alerts, limited to visual alerts when an associated user device is active, listen for associated user device communications, and instruct device outputs to stop providing alerts when a silencing command is received. Further, a connection manager can receive a signal regarding a headset status, route an outside connection from a phone to the headset when the headset is active or to another device when the headset is not active, detect a change in headset status, and reroute the connection accordingly.

Abstract: For identifying an unknown contact, a system, apparatus, method, and computer program product are disclosed. The apparatus, in one embodiment, includes a processor, a memory that stores code executable by the processor, the code identifying an incoming call from an unknown contact, collecting relationship information regarding the unknown contact, and determining a relationship to a user based on the collected relationship information. In certain embodiments, the apparatus also includes code that provides a notification based on the determined relationship. In some embodiments, the apparatus also includes code that shares the determined relationship with one or more stored contacts.

Abstract: An incoming communication processing system and method is disclosed for providing communication and data services to residents of a controlled facility. Specifically, the incoming communication processing system allows outside parties to initiate communications to residents of a controlled facility. The incoming communication processing system may work in conjunction with or separately from an outgoing communication processing system. Many restrictions and safeguards may be implemented within the incoming communication system in order to prevent improper use.

Abstract: Techniques and system configurations for tracking customers and employees in a commercial environment such as a retail store are described herein. Customer devices that are operated by an associated customer may be tracked to determine customer shopping activities in a retail store, and to obtain promotions or affect targeted results based on the customer's activity and a profile associated with the customer. Employee devices that are operated by an associated employee also may be tracked to identify employee activities and manage the interactions that occur with customers in the retail environment. In-store activities and interactions accordingly may be enhanced as a result of advertising, marketing, and analytics derived from the tracked activities.

Abstract: The method and system for sorting the phonebook contacts by finding the weight of contacts for each application based on contact incentives and sorting the applications by measuring the weight of the applications based on application incentives is provided. The contact incentives can be identified for each application and the method calculates weight of contacts for each application. The method identifies the application incentives, and calculates the weight of each application. Based on the weight of contacts and the weight of application, the method normalizes sorts the contacts in phonebook.

Abstract: Aspects define a capture signal as audio inputs by a user of word content. An input of the capture signal word content is recognized in response to an audio input of the user reciting the capture signal word content into a microphone in communication with the recording device during a recording of a speech presentation by the recording device. A recording portion start time is identified that is prior to a time of the input of the capture signal during the current recording of the audio speech presentation in response to recognizing the input of the capture signal word content from the user. The recording device is driven to capture a portion of the recorded audio speech presentation over a period of time spanning from the recording portion start time to the time of the input of the capture signal word content.

Abstract: A single virtual telephone number that is used to route telephony communications is assigned to first and second users if the first and second users rarely, if ever, communicate with the same party. When an incoming call is received on the virtual telephone number, telephony information for the first and second users is reviewed to determine if the calling party is one that has communicated with either of the first and second users in the past. If so, the telephony communication is routed to the user who has communicated with the calling party in the past.

Abstract: A method of choosing a nametag using automatic speech recognition (ASR) includes: receiving a spoken nametag via a microphone; performing a first speech recognition analysis on the spoken nametag; determining that the first speech recognition analysis outputs only handheld wireless device nametags; performing a second speech recognition analysis that excludes the handheld wireless device nametags stored at the handheld wireless device; and combining the results of the first speech recognition analysis and the second speech recognition analysis.

Abstract: A user equipment and method for call filtering is provided. On receipt of an incoming call, the incoming call's telephone number or other caller identifier is determined and then used as a search query in a search engine search. Using natural language processing or text string comparison, text from the search hits is processed by comparing with the stored permitted caller description(s). If a match is found, then a call alert is generated, whereas if not, then the call is blocked.

Abstract: A system and method for establishing contact between a customer contact center agent and a customer based on customer availability information. A plurality of communication channels that may be used to communicate with the customer is monitored by the contact center. The availability of the customer is identified for each of the plurality of communication channels and user availability data is dynamically adjusted for each of the plurality of communication channels. The user availability data is provided to a contact center agent handling, for example, an offline task involving the customer. The contact center agent may use the availability data to establish contact with the customer to better handle the offline task.

Abstract: A method for routing calls between a third party telecommunications device (“TD”) and a subscriber TD associated with a primary service and a second line service (“SLS”) involves associating the SLS number of the subscriber, the primary number of the subscriber and the primary number of a third party via a common relationship number. Calls directed from a third party to the SLS number of a subscriber are routed to an SLS platform and redirected to the subscriber TD. Calls directed from the subscriber TD to the third party use the relationship number to route the call to the SLS platform. The combination of the SLS number and the relationship number identifies the third party calling number for call completion. Calls can be directed to and from an SLS number of a subscriber TD without having to coordinate the provisioning of a call through the subscriber's primary service provider.

Abstract: An image is saved to a contact record or set as a home screen directly from a camera application of a portable electronic device. The method includes: capturing an image using a camera that is integrated into the portable electronic device, selecting at least a portion of the image, selecting a contact record from an address book application or selecting a set as home screen option.

Abstract: A method for routing calls between a third party telecommunications device (“TD”) and a subscriber TD associated with a primary service and a second line service (“SLS”) involves associating the SLS number of the subscriber, the primary number of the subscriber and the primary number of a third party via a common relationship number. Calls directed from a third party to the SLS number of a subscriber are routed to an SLS platform and redirected to the subscriber TD. Calls directed from the subscriber TD to the third party use the relationship number to route the call to the SLS platform. The combination of the primary service number and the relationship number identifies the third party number for call completion. Calls can be directed to and from an SLS number of a subscriber TD using a combination of protocols such as ISUP, CAP and SIP.

Abstract: Systems and methods for utilizing customer data in a communication system are provided. In exemplary embodiments, customer records at a customer data warehousing system are accessed. Customer data from the customer records are extracted and associated with a customer identifier. The customer data is then stored to an indexed database, the extracted customer data being indexed according to the identifier. When an incoming communication is received, the communication system will determine a communication identifier of the incoming communication. A lookup and matching process is then performed using the communication identifier in the indexed customer information database. If a matching customer identifier is found, associated customer data may be retrieved and used to provide enhanced communication system services including communication routing and customer data alerts.
