Each side gusset of the bag has a set of one or more gusset openings adjacent an open end of the bag. The first panel has a corresponding set of one or more panel openings, and adhesive extends in each of the openings for the adhesive to adhere the side gussets to the first panel and restrain each side gusset from movement outwardly from between the first and second panels.

Abstract: The present invention includes a reclosable bag having first and second walls and an open top defined by first and second elongate flexible fastener strips adjacent the top of the walls. One of the fastener strip has a profile portion forming a groove and had a profile portion forming a rib. A portion of the rib is received and retained in the groove when the bag top is closed. Each of the fastener strips has a base connected to the respective walls and each of the fastener strips further has an upper edge adjacent the upper edge. The bag has a slider mounted on the strips and movable in one direction longitudinally to progressively separate the rib from the groove to open the bag, and the slider is movable in the opposite direction to progressively return the rib to a retained condition in the groove so as to close the bag.

A method for providing a sensory indication of double sealing in a reclosable bag includes closing a mouth by pressing opposing fingers against first and second zipper closures and moving opposing fingers linearly across the closures until there is a sensory indication of an end seal for each of the first and second zipper closures at different linear locations.

There is a zipper disposed on at least one side of the casing having a zipper slider connected to first and second half zipper tracks. A zipper handle is connected to the zipper slider, and the zipper handle includes a hook member extending from one side of the zipper handle. The zipper handle and hook member are a single molded piece. Further, there is a combination lock secured along one side of the casing. The combination lock includes an exterior plate having a slot that exposes a latch member. The slot is sized to receive the hook member of the zipper handle, and the hook member engages the latch member in a locked configuration.

Abstract: A reclosable tamper-evident package is opened and closed repeatedly by opening and closing a first closure of a package, and when it is desired to close the package and provide an indication of further opening, a second closure is closed that cannot readily be opened. The tamper evident package has a closure assembly that includes a zipper closure arrangement with a slider device. In one embodiment, the slider device is movable between a first axial position and a second axial position. When the slider device is in the first axial position, moving the slider device laterally along the zipper closure arrangement in a first direction closes the first closure. When the slider device is in the second axial position, moving the slider device laterally along the zipper closure arrangement in a first direction closes both the first closure and the second closure.

Abstract: A heat-shrinkable anti-fomitic device incorporating anti-microbial metal wherein the device, in the form of a bag or tube, forms a cover for an object, preventing cross-infection by bacteria and other pathogens that may reside on the object. Anti-microbial metal ions from the cover further reduce future cross-infection from the object by killing pathogens. The anti-microbial, heat-shrinkable, anti-fomitic device can have a sterile interior that is sealed or stored flat during manufacture to maintain sterility. Therefore, no outer wrapping for the anti-fomitic device is required. The anti-fomitic device can be inverted when used to cover the object to present an outer surface that is initially sterile. A plurality of such devices can be heat shrunk to an object such that removal of the outer layer will further prevent cross contamination. Heat shrink film materials for the coverings/bags serve as a barrier to the transmission of pathogens and conform closely to the covered object.

The meal is of the type that is purchased on a take-away or delivery basis for consumption, after transport to a dining destination and before the food component gets cold. This apparatus comprises: a pouch which defines an opening for receiving said beverage; and a spigot connected to said pouch for dispensing said beverage therefrom. The apparatus can also include means for sealing said opening to define a container and for releasing gas from said container such that, in normal use, said container remains sealed during said transport and such that, in normal use with a carbonated beverage, the carbonated beverage does not go flat before the food component gets cold. The sealing means can comprise a press-to-seal closure for sealing said opening and a labyrinth channel to vent said container.

The pouch bodies having the sealed sides thereof arranged at the same specified orientation contain medicines not to be taken at the specified time.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a reclosable package or bag with a slider zipper, and further including a first gusset with a perforated line or similar line of weakness formed between the slider zipper profiles in order to provide tamper evidence and a second gusset formed below one zipper profile in order to allow the filled packaged to stand up for display purposes. This package or bag is typically bottom filled, but then displayed to the customer in the orientation with the bottom in the upper position and the zipper in the lower position. One alternative embodiment substitutes a press-to-close-zipper for the slider zipper. A further alternative embodiment omits the perforated line and provides for a separation in the web between the zipper profiles to form a mouth for the package or bag.

The fluid communication is facilitated by an increase in pressure in the inner cavity. A method of filling and dispensing contents or fluid from a flexible package is also disclosed. A method of forming a flexible package is further disclosed. Various bubble closures can be tubular, dome-shaped, hollow fluid-filled, solid, and the like.

Abstract: The end stop is formed on ends of a zipper for a reclosable package or bag by ultrasonically welding the ends of the zipper profiles together so as to form a raised portion. This prevents the slider from being pulled off of the ends of the zipper. Additionally, in the ultrasonic welding step, an indentation is formed into which glue is added thereby forming a lateral protrusion on the side of a zipper profile. This increases the strength of the end stop and increases the slider pull-off force which can be resisted.

For instance, by co-extruding the shrinkable material to a lower portion of the zipper or co-extruding the expandable material to an upper portion of the zipper, an upwardly arching or convex shape can be achieved.
