Abstract: The invention pertains to a protective cover for a backpack, the cover preventing unauthorized access to the backpack and its contents. Apertures and slots are formed in the protective cover to allow the straps on the backpack to pass through the cover, so that the protective cover and backpack can be retained on the shoulders of the user. A single, elongated zipper on the protective cover provides access to the interior thereof, and the end point of the zipper is hidden from view when resting upon the back of the user.

Abstract: The present invention includes a baby bottle liner constructed and arranged to fit into a cavity of a baby bottle. The baby bottle liner includes a continuous, profiled, elongated reclosable fastener. The continuous, profiled, elongated reclosable fastener has a first continuous elongated profile strip and a second continuous elongated profile strip. The first continuous elongated profile strip and the second continuous elongated profile strip are dimensioned to provide an airtight and/or watertight seal upon interconnection thereof. The baby bottle liner further comprises an airtight and watertight side seal at each end of the reclosable fastener. Each side seal connects an end of the reclosable fastener to an inside surface of a front wall and an inside surface of a back wall of the liner. The invention also provides a baby bottle with a baby bottle liner and a kit for infant nursing that has a plurality of baby bottle liners.

The male member includes: a belt-shaped male base element provided on a packaging bag body; and a male engaging portion projecting from the belt-shaped male base element. The female member includes: a belt-shaped female base element located at a position opposed to the belt-shaped male base element; and a female engaging portion projecting from the belt-shaped female base element, the male engaging portion and the female engaging portion being disengageably engaged to form an engaging portion. The belt-shaped male base element and the belt-shaped female base element are made of a resin of which tensile modulus of elasticity is in a range of 700 MPa to 1600 MPa. The engaging portion is made of a resin of which tensile modulus of elasticity is in a range of 110 MPa to 560 MPa.

A slider is disposed in straddling relation over the guide rails and an end-stomp is defined by a fused-together portion of the interlocking closure elements proximate an end of the closure mechanism. The end-stomp may include a flattened region, a first raised ridge that is generally parallel to the interlocking closure elements, and a second raised ridge that is generally perpendicular to the first raised ridge. The second raised ridge extends away from a pouch interior and beyond opening side lateral edges of the complementary interlocking closure elements a distance that is sufficient to engage a top wall of the slider.

Abstract: A closure element is used for closing an opening disposed through the flexible sidewall of a storage bag such as those used to store food items. The storage bags provide an internal volume accessible via the opening. The closure element includes a first fastening strip and an interlocking second closure strip. The first and second fastening strips include complementary, engagable first and second closure profiles. To hermetically seal the internal volume, at least a portion of the first or second fastening strip can include a sealant. The sealant can be a displaceable fluid, fluid-like substance, semi-rigid substance, or wax-like substance such as an oil or a gel. When the closure profiles are engaged, the sealant provides an air tight barrier sealing the internal volume.

Abstract: A covering mesh bag used for planting fruit and vegetables is disclosed. The covering mesh bag includes a mesh bag and two cords separately disposed along two edges of opening of the mesh bag. Two ends of each of the two cords are outside the mesh bag. There is a zipper at the bottom of the mesh bag. The opening of the mesh bag can be girded by pulling the two cords and the cords can be tied to a branch of a fruit tree or treillage. The zipper is used as a closeable opening for observing the fruitage covered in the mesh bag.

A handle that is removal at one end allows the handle to be placed around a stationary object as to secure the bag to that object while unattended. A single control is provided conveniently to release both the sliding fastener and the handle. The handle is comprised of a flexible yet strong material, such as a metal cable.

Abstract: A device for forming a seal includes upper and lower seal members, and a slider, wherein mating surfaces of the seal members interlock. In at least one embodiment, a lifting rib and closure bar on the slider cooperate with a lifting wing and closure bar groove on the upper and lower seal members, respectively. By moving the slider in one direction, the lifting rib lifts the upper seal member from the lower seal member. Moving the slider in the opposite direction causes the upper and lower seal members to interlock. In another embodiment, a slider has an intermediate lateral member connected on one side the slider top, and connected on the other side to the slider bottom. A breakaway sealing device is also provided, allowing a person to break the closed seal. A beginning stop block is also provided that includes a means for securing the upper seal member.

The invention includes guiding a web of film which has interlocking fastener strips sealed to the web. A slider for locking and unlocking the fastener strips is placed in the correct orientation, spread apart at a pair of inner feet, and inserted over the fastener strips. The slider is positioned to close a substantial portion of the strips, and then an end stop, docking station, and corner seal are formed against a sealing plate. The slider is then repositioned, and a tamper evident seal may be placed over the fastener strips.

A mouth of the bag may include an opening/closing for multiple successive openings and closings and a cleavable linking veil, located at a distance therefrom inside the bag in relation to the opening/closing. Abstract: A bug proof bag for containing luggage or other items has a plurality of sides such that the sides are non-porous so as to prevent ingress of bugs into the bag and are smooth so as to offer substantially no harborages to bugs. A zipper in a closed state prevents ingress of bugs into the bag, and the zipper in an opened state permits access to an interior of the bag. The zipper, for example, has a slider and first and second locking strips. The bug proof bag may, if desired, also include a seal that seals ends of the first and second locking strips to the bag.

Abstract: Disclosed is an article of manufacture including bag having a front surface; a rear surface; two side surfaces each having a gusset therein and connecting the front and rear surfaces; a flattenable bottom surface formed by connecting the front, rear, and side surfaces; and a top surface formable by connecting the front, rear, and side surfaces. The bag has a height, a width, and a depth, and defines an internal volume. The bag is sealable and has a seal strength of at least about 1,600 pounds per square inch. The bag is formed from a plastic laminate having a thickness of from about 130 to about 200 microns and a tensile strength of at least about 3,400 pounds per square inch. The article of manufacture also includes at least about 15 pounds of a particulate, flowable composition contained therein. The bag can also have a closure system comprising a non-reusable closure and a reusable closure.
