Abstract: The description is given of a sanitary water-outflow fitting, in particular a tub-filling mixer unit, having a water-outflow housing (1) and a jet former for a wide-surface-area water-outlet jet (19), the jet former being arranged in the housing. The water-outflow housing (1) comprises an elongate supply channel (21) which runs essentially perpendicularly to the water-outlet jet (19), tapers in a funnel like manner in the throughflow direction and is bounded by an intermediate wall (37). The intermediate wall (37) has a multiplicity of throughflow holes (51), via which the supply channel (21) is connected to an elongate distributor chamber (11) essentially parallel to it. The distributor chamber (11) has at least one water-outlet channel (9) leading to the water outflow.

Abstract: An outlet of a spigot has a bottom seat, a neck, a head and a flow passage. The bottom seat has a bottom face. The neck is formed on and protrudes upward from the bottom seat. The head is formed on and protrudes forward from the neck and has a bottom side. The flow passage is formed in the outlet between the bottom seat, the neck and the head and has at least one inlet hole and an outlet hole. The inlet hole is formed through the bottom face of the bottom seat and communicates with the flow passage. The outlet hole is U-shaped, is formed in the head opposite to the neck and communicates with the flow passage.

Abstract: A faucet body includes an inner pipe and an outer pipe enclosed around the inner pipe. The inner pipe is formed by a plastic injection molding process and has an inside formed with a water guide channel. Preferably, the outer pipe is directly enclosed around the outside of the inner pipe after the inner pipe is formed and is formed by a plastic injection molding process so that the inner pipe and the outer pipe are combined together. Thus, the outer pipe is enclosed around the inner pipe to form the faucet body, and the outer pipe and the inner pipe are formed by a plastic injection molding process, so that the faucet body is made and worked easily and quickly.

Abstract: A water controlling valve includes an outer sheet, an end cap and a control valve group. The control valve group is disposed between a flowing bore in the outer sheet and a water bore in the end cap. The water controlling valve is connected with the outlet of a water tube. When the control valve group is pushed upwards, the water bore in the end cap and the flowing bore in the outer sheet are closed in a predetermined sequence, then the water in the tube will not flow out. When the control valve group is pushed downwards, the flowing bore in the outer sheet and the water bore in the end cap are opened, then the water will flow out. When the water is stopped, the occurring positive or negative pressure wave is lowered, and then the vibration and the raspy noise will be avoided.

A rocker button controls spray through inner and outer sets of outlet orifices, for example, giving the user the option of an aerated water jet or an unaerated shower. The rocker button mounts on an integral pivot post of a valve body that houses a diverter valve that is controlled by the rocker button. The rocker button has a pair of legs that extend through openings in the valve body to engage a groove in the diverter valve. Pivoting the rocker button about a pivot axis by depressing either its forward or aft portion, moves the diverter valve along a valve axis to route flow to either the inner or outer orifices.

Thus, the sealing gasket, the leakproof gasket, the first leakproof cap and the second leakproof cap of the control valve are tightly and closely located between the control shaft and the through hole of the faucet body to seal the through hole so as to prevent the water from leaking from the through hole and to stabilize the water pressure in the faucet body.

Abstract: Sanitary fitting comprising a basic element which is designed to be fastened to an object and has a passage defining an axis, a fitting part having a sleeve-shaped portion which in a free end region has a casing-side transverse groove, the sleeve-shaped portion reaching through the passage, being mounted in the basic element, and an annular, single-part guide clamp disposed coaxially to the axis and having a guide portion for the mounting of the fitting part in the basic element, and a latching portion for cooperation with the transverse groove configured as a ring groove. The guide clamp is fixed in the transverse groove and has between the guide portion and the latching portion a radial slot running in the peripheral direction. The latching portion protrudes radially outwards over the guide portion disposed in the passage and thereby cooperates with a mating shoulder configured on the basic element.

The connector has a feedwater-pipe-joining portion (4a) adapted to be joined to the feedwater pipe, and a connector-side engaging thread portion (4b), and the device body has a body-side engaging thread portion (14) positioned in such a manner as to be engaged with the connector-side engaging thread portion once during an operation of attaching the device body to the connector, and located beyond the connector-side engaging thread portion after the device body is fixed at the installation position. The water discharge device of the present invention can reliably prevent falling-off of the device body.

Abstract: An adjustable height housing enables a thermostatic mixing valve (TMV) with a dial permitting manual control of bathtub shower water temperature to be vertically mounted in a horizontal bathtub deck. The housing can be installed on a narrow bathtub rim yet also accommodates substantial substrate thickness of bathtub decks where required. Manual adjustment of hot and cold ring stops is performed from the top-side using only a screwdriver to gain access. The housing includes a long threaded outer sleeve which extends from near the top deck surface to the thermostatic mixing valve (TMV) cartridge body housing below, thereby accommodating any deck thickness from a 1/16 inch thick stainless steel tub edge to a compound deck construction up to 2¾ inches thick. The rotatable temperature dial is coupled to a cap rotatable by the adjustment handle which, in turn, rotates an adjustable extension shaft within the housing.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for an integral flush-mounted waterspout, specifically for tubs is herein disclosed. The water spout is flush-mounted, contoured and angled appropriately to contain the discharge of water and subsequent drippage within the tub. No extended spigot or spout would be evident. The advantage of such a system, besides that of home fashion, is the elimination of injury to a person entering or exiting a tub. The flush-mounted waterspout could be alternatively embodied for sinks, showers and similar fixtures.

Abstract: A swing spout assembly is disclosed which has a spout having a channel extending from an inlet end to a discharge end. A radially extending groove is formed adjacent the inlet end of the spout, and a snap ring is received in the groove of the spout. A pair of glides in the form of wear washers sandwich the portion of the snap ring extending out of the groove to form a bearing sub-assembly. An escutcheon is positioned around at least part of the inlet end of the spout. A stationary body has a portion that extends into the channel of the spout and a portion extending around an outer radial periphery of the inlet end of the spout. The portion extending around the outer periphery of the inlet end and the escutcheon defining a pocket that retains the bearing sub-assembly.

The faucet body has an inner wall defining a passage extending therethrough. The faucet also includes a faucet handle and a spray handle having a first end section and a sprayer end section. The faucet also has a hose connection that can receive a hose for delivering liquid to the spray handle. The hose connection may be in the sprayer end section of the spray handle.

A light source is placed close to the mouth of the elongated spout to light the ribbon of water flowing from the spout in multi-color, if desired.

The mounting member secured in the ground includes a receiving chamber arranged on the top thereof and has two retaining tabs aft ached on the upper end thereof. The upper end of the fitting member screws with the lower end of the vertical tap. The fitting member includes two opposite fastening projections disposed on the outer periphery at the lower end thereof and extending outwardly therefrom. The fixing ring is fitted onto the external rim of the vertical tap, is then secured in a wooden floor by using a number of wood screws, and is further engaged with the internal rim of the vertical tap by way of a bolt. The decorative loop covers the fixing ring, thereby supporting and securing the vertical tap easily.

The at least one interspaced tube member, angled entry portion and optional deflection member work to deflect, slow and smooth the flow, reduce debris accumulation and generally improve the sheet like quality and consistency of the flow of the sheet-like waterfall.

A box section extends from the mounting flange and through the bathroom wall opening. The box section includes a horizontal upper wall, a horizontal lower wall and an access opening therebetween.

Abstract: A universal kinetic diverting spout post assembly for mounting in a vertical orientation in a roman tub or deck installation is provided. The assembly includes a valve body containing a replaceable diverting cartridge into which hot and cold water are fed. The cartridge also includes a spring biased plunger assembly normally closing the outlet to a second use, such as a spray, when water normally passes through the spout to a tub and until such time as a diverting mechanism, either in response to a predetermined pressure rise in the spout when water exiting the spout is prevented, or as a direct result of the user lifting the plunger assembly. In either alternative the plunger assembly rises off it's seat and as a result closes the water path to the spout and at the same time opens the normally closed outlet to the spray and allows water to pass to the outlet. The assembly also includes a flow regulator proximate the spray outlet to prevent overpressure in a supply hose and excessive water flow therein.

The main body has first and oscillating outlet heads, which can freely oscillate for flexible regulation. The combined footstock is assembled on top of the seat post of main body for mounting the second oscillating outlet head, thus enabling easy removal, repair or replacement of defective components with improved applicability.

The selector subassembly is engaged to a detent finger-button mounted on the housing that selectively diverts water flowing through an aerated flow path to an alternate spray flow path, thereby allowing manual selection between spray mode and aerate mode. The volume control is a slide switch on the housing and coupled to a rotary valve assembly for allowing the user to adjust the flow volume when in spray mode without affecting water volume in the aerate mode. When in aerate mode water is expelled from the sprayhead through an aerator output, and when in spray mode water is expelled through a series of nozzles oriented radially around the aerator output.

The valves are factory installed in the valve housings, which are pre-connected to the main body at the factory. A hanger holds the main body in place to the sink deck while the installer inserts the C-washers to hold the valve housings above the sink deck and the main body below the sink deck. The hanger is disengaged from the sink deck and the main body. The C-washers enable the installer to automatically level the faucet and tighten the threaded flange nuts beneath the sink deck to secure the valve housings to the sink deck in the leveled condition. The center shank is connected at the factory to a deck flange nut. The center shank is compression fitted to the main body and secured to the sink deck by a central flange nut beneath the sink deck and the deck flange nut above the sink deck.

The calibrating includes turning on the spout to thereby dispense a stream of liquid from the spout and into a stream space; emitting infrared energy from the PSD infrared sensor and toward the stream of liquid; sensing a first position of the infrared energy after the infrared energy has been reflected back to the sensor from the stream of liquid; storing first information based upon the first position of the reflected infrared energy; turning off the spout to thereby inhibit the liquid from being dispensed from the spout; sensing a second position of the infrared energy after the infrared energy has been reflected back to the sensor from an object that is fixed relative to the sensor; and storing second information based upon the second position of the reflected infrared energy. Infrared energy is emitted from the PSD infrared sensor and toward the stream space.

Abstract: A soft-feel plumbing fixture having a rigid internal structure encased by a generally “soft-feel” protective coating. Depending upon fixture style, the rigid internal structure can be a fluid conduit or valve stem. The “soft-feel” protective coating can be applied over an intermediate support structure that functions to separate the rigid internal structure from direct physical contact with the soft-feel protective coating. The soft-feel protective coating protects a user from potential injury as a result of falls or other accidents which can cause the user to accidentally bump or fall upon the plumbing fixture. Representative soft-feel plumbing fixtures can include single-handle faucets, wide spread and center-set faucets, sink spouts, tub spouts, handles, shower heads and the like. The soft-feel protective coating can be applied over the intermediate support structure so as to resemble decorative themes, animals, dinosaurs, mascots, fictional characters, sporting equipment and the like.

By tightening a screw associated with the clamp, the clamp is tilted to engage the stub-out. The showerhead has an inside end held in the socket hole of the hose passage to position the showerhead with the tap body. Consequently, additional installations of the showerhead are not required. The showerhead will not occupy bathroom space, and the appearance of the entire water tap is tidy and clean.

Abstract: An automatic lift faucet includes a hydraulic cylinder vertically mounted under a working top, the hydraulic cylinder having an inlet. A lifting faucet is mounted in motion fitting connection within the hydraulic cylinder and includes an inlet and a faucet outlet. A lifting piston is attached to the lifting faucet for controlling fluid communication between the hydraulic cylinder and the lifting faucet inlet. An accumulator cylinder is mounted to the bottom end of the lifting faucet and includes a baffle-plate, a valve stern and left and right tow pistons to thereby divide the accumulator cylinder into three sub-chambers. The accumulator cylinder also includes three through-holes, one of each communicating with one of each of the three sub-chambers. A pressure release valve selectively controls fluid communication to the through-holes and to the hydraulic cylinder inlet via first and second branch pipes.

Abstract: A tub filler and overflow combination device is supported within a common opening formed in a tub wall. Both a flow passage and a drain passage extend through the body of the device to communicate through the common opening in the tub wall. A backflow preventer of the flow passage is slidably removable through the flow outlet for readily servicing the components of the backflow preventer as desired. The flow inlet is parallel and opposite to the flow outlet for ease of manufacturing and for ease of installation into a bathtub.
