  • Patent number: 6623201
Abstract: A cleaning device for cleaning toilets, bathroom fixtures, and other surfaces. The device encloses a reservoir contained in a hollow handle for storing a cleaning solution, with a cap connected to one end of the handle and a base connected to the other end of the handle. A brush, sponge or other scrubber or cleaning surface is preferably attached to the base. A manually operated flow control mechanism opens a valve which seals at least one exit or dispensing orifice at or near the base of the reservoir, and thereby allows volume of cleaning solution to be dispensed at a reasonably fast, controlled rate of flow. In one embodiment, manually operated vacuum pressure release orifices are located at the opposite end of the reservoir from the exit orifice and are normally closed, but may be opened to minimize or eliminate any vacuum (subatmospheric pressure) in the reservoir, thereby aiding the flow of liquid from the reservoir through the exit orifice.

  • Publication number: 20030165351
Abstract: Brushes specifically hair brushes have been around for several years. However, a brush with the flexibility of moving the bristles inward to help in cleaning is a new invention. Additionally a hair brush capable of delivering hair care products including styling gel into the bristle area so as to allow combing while applying hair care products is a new invention. The manufacture of hair brushes with recyclable and or disposable materials is also an added benefit of the current invention. The said invention describes the make up of such a brush that will be easy to clean, may be made out of recyclable and or disposable material and can be used to deliver hair care products to the scalp (hair) while combing. Such an invention will eliminate the mess encountered while applying hair care products and will also reduce the amount of time needed for the same.

The closed second end has a brush theresecured. A plurality of jet spray nozzles couple with the intermediate extent of the hollow first section. Contained in the device is a Y-shaped connector having an open first end coupled with the open second end of the hollow tube. The connector has an open second end with an on/off valve secured therein. An open third end has an on/off valve secured therein. The open second end is adapted to be secured to a water hose with the on/off valve selectively allowing water therethrough. Also in the device is a soap container having an extension integral therewith. The extension couples with the open third end of the Y-shaped connector. The soap container holds liquid soap therein.

Abstract: A sponge mop includes a post extending through a top of a frame and the frame has two extensions on each of which a roller is connected. A sponge is located between the two rollers. A lever handle is pivotally connected to the post and a link is fixedly connected between the lever handle and the ridge. A tank is connected to the post and receives cleaning detergent therein. An outlet extends from a lower end of the tank and is engaged with the hole in the frame. A seal member is removably engaged with the outlet and a control assembly is received in the tank. A lower end of the control assembly is connected to the seal member and an operation handle on a top of the control assembly is engaged with the top hole so that when rotating the operation handle, the detergent flows to the sponge.

Abstract: A floor coating application device with a rigid body having attached thereto a removable applicator and a removable weight system. The rigid body having a planar surface with radial edges to facilitate the uniform application of a coating material to a surface. The removable applicator being a material suitable for uniformly spreading a coating material without flaws or shedding and attached to the rigid body in such a manner as to minimize the wicking of coating material through the applicator. The removable weight system capable of providing a consistent force against the rigid body to improve the uniformity of coating thicknesses. The floor coating application device is used to spread coating material with a handle connected to the rigid body or a mechanical coating device.

Abstract: Apparatus (10) for the application and even spreading of flowable roofing materials such as bituminous mastics which includes an elongated, hollow delivery bar (14) adapted to be pulled across a roofing surface and having a plurality of material delivery openings (40) along the underside thereof, as well as a material spreader (16) positioned adjacent the bar (14). The spreader (16) includes first and second elongated, generally side-by-side brooms (42, 44) in trailing relationship to the bar (14). The first broom (42) is generally concave, whereas the second broom (42) is substantially rectilinear). A tubular handle (32) is coupled with the bar (14) for delivery of heated material thereto. A temperature gauge (36) is mounted on the handle (32) in close adjacency to the bar (14), allowing the user to closely monitor material temperatures at the point of application.
