Abstract: An apparatus for use in applying lotion to a portion of a body of an individual includes first and second handles which are connected with a lotion dispensing section. The lotion dispensing section includes a reservoir which holds a supply of lotion and a plurality of rollers. Each of the rollers has an inner portion exposed to the lotion in the reservoir and an outer portion which is engageable with the body of the individual using the apparatus.

Abstract: A cushioned implement grip for an hand held implement which serves the dual purposes of increased user comfort and providing an improved gripping surface to better hold the implement. The grip is a generally tapered cylindrical shape and may further include gripping rings as raised or indentation structures on the surface of the grip. The invention may be slid on to the implement outer surface proximate the gripping end of the implement for use with an existing device. Alternatively, the grip may be formed integrally with or assembled onto an implement during manufacture or assembly.

Abstract: A grip using a gel substance capable of preserving its own shape is provided in a grip portion of a barrel of a writing implement. An outer coat for covering the grip portion of the barrel 1 is provided. The gel substance is located between the outer coat and the barrel, and comes in direct contact with the barrel. A centering member for positioning the outer coat coaxially with the barrel is provided between the outer coat and the barrel. The centering member is provided with an opening for allowing a space between the outer coat and the barrel to communicate with the outside of the space. The gel substance is formed by injecting a sol substance, which is a raw material, through the opening and by crosslinking the sol substance under a predetermined condition.

The removable piece may thereafter be quickly and easily replaced or modified to change, revise or otherwise update the imprinted material viewed through the transparent cover of the clip.

Abstract: A gripping element, particularly to writing instruments having a gripping element, which more specifically relates to a marker having a gripping element over a central region thereof. Such positioning of the gripping element facilitates use of the writing instrument in other than standard writing grasps. For example, the positioning of a gripping element over the central region of a writing instrument facilitates gripping of the writing instrument when writing on vertical or inverse horizontal (i.e. upside down) planes. The gripping element has a plurality of elevated sections in the form of intercalated crosses and hexagons or sliced hexagons. The elevated sections may be smooth or textured to enhance gripping and to reduce slippage of the writing instrument during use.

Abstract: A stylus for use with a portable processing system is disclosed. The stylus comprises a pointing member that is changeable in circumference when utilized. A stylus in accordance with the present invention can be expanded or contracted in very small amounts to adjust to the size of a user's fingers and hand, as well as a user's comfort level and specific health needs, thereby making much longer periods of usage far more pleasant and productive, yet such a stylus will still fit within the small size holes in a portable processing system or the recessed area often provided for a stylus in a computerized drawing tablet.

The device has a hollow handle which includes a volume of liquid that can be applied, with the volume of liquid being lotion, liquid soap, or oil. Abstract: The present invention relates to a cushioning element adapted to be mounted on an article to provide cushioning therefor. The cushioning clement of the present invention has a bladder body at least partially defining a filling chamber. The filling chamber is filled with a flowable particulate matter. The present invention further includes a mounting member adapted to mount the bladder body onto the article. According to the present invention, at least a portion of the bladder body is deformable and the particulate matter within the filling chamber is capable of flowing inside the filling chamber upon the application of a deforming force to the deformable portion of the bladder body.

Abstract: A offset pen includes a holding part, a writing end and a connecting part connected therebetween, in which the writing end and the holding part are disposed on different axes. When the user is operating the writing tool, the holding part inclines naturally while the writing end keeps vertical to the writing surface, and the writing result can be observed through the visible space formed between the writing end and the holding part. A holding end is disposed at the front end of the holding part of the writing tool, and each surface of the holding end can be twisted into irregular surfaces. Since the holding part, the connecting part and the writing end are substantially arranged as a Z letter, a perfect fitting feeling of the fingers can be created. Therefore, different users can feel comfortable and the fingers of the users with different holding poses can be naturally directed to a correct holding position, so as to form various geometric states suitable for hand holding.

The upper portion is spaced inwardly from the lower portion. A cap is threadably conjoinable with the upper portion. An elongated and rectilinear handle is slidably positional into the reservoir. The handle is provided with a monolithically formed bottom lip portion annularly protruding away therefrom and a monolithically formed top end that has a spherical shape. An applicator pad is rotatably conjoined about the handle and nested within the reservoir in such a manner that the applicator pad becomes impregnated with the lotion during non-operating conditions. The applicator pad has an open top end portion wherein the handle is positioned therethrough. The applicator pad maintains a static relationship with the reservoir as the handle is linearly extracted from the reservoir.

Abstract: An improved lip product applicator for applying a pasty or semi soft lip product to a user's lips comprising a body is described. The body has a product reservoir extending therefrom. The product reservoir is generally hollow and has a tip extending from an end of the reservoir opposite the body. The reservoir has a means for discharging product contained therein through an orifice in said tip. The tip is made of a clear material that permits the user to view the color of the product contained therein. The tip is also tapered and retains its tapered shape as lip product is applied to a user's lips.

Abstract: A nail polish container and applicator cap comprising a reservoir for containing nail polish to be applied, an opening into the reservoir, an applicator cap for sealing engagement with the opening, the applicator cap operatively associated with an applicator brush, the brush formed from bristles that are aligned in substantially the same direction as the longitudinal axis of the applicator cap, and an overshell of compressible material surrounding the applicator cap, the overshell providing a finger gripping surface on the applicator cap.

Each port defines an opening at a top end thereof. The lower portion includes a spout extending therefrom. A tubular shaft has a handle portion. A bracket includes arms and a top edge bridged therebetween. The top edge is engageable with a distal end of the shaft and one intake port. The arms are forwardly offset from a vertical axis. Each arm has an aperture formed therein for receiving the rod ends. A roller is connected to the arms and spaced below the spout. A linear rod is conjoined to the roller. An insert is positioned within the receptacle and includes an adaptable spring positioned therein that is isolated from the fluids, minimizing contamination thereof. The insert is abutted against the bracket.

Abstract: There is provided a compass assembly that includes a first member pivotally connected to a second member at a common end. The first member has an anchor point opposite the common end, and the second member retains a marking device opposite the common end. The compass assembly also includes a compressible cover positioned over the anchor point.

Abstract: A marking device, a method of using the same and an accessory kit for a marking device having a sheath that may fit over a barrel of a marking device such as, for example, a pen or a pencil. Further, the marking device may contain an end cap having a connecting lead that may be attached to a surface, such as a surface on or near a computer or an automatic teller machine, for example. In addition, the sheath may contain an antimicrobial agent that may protect users of the sheath from disease-causing bacteria or other like agents.

The shoulder portion is located above and merging with the central recessed portion at an upper end thereof and includes a top wall having an opening. The central recessed portion has a smooth continuous sidewall formed as an oval with major and minor diameters. The central recessed portion merges with the sidewall portion of the shoulder portion at major upper flared surfaces and at minor upper flared surfaces. The major axis decreases uniformly toward the center. The minor axis has a substantially constant dimension.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a golf ball cleaning apparatus that is adapted to be worn on the belt of a user. The apparatus permits its wearer to easily clean a golf ball at any point during a round of golf. The apparatus includes a water tight container with a slidable tray storing a sponge. A serrated edge is also included upon the tray to remove build-up upon a golf ball.

Abstract: A belted applicator for applying a lotion substance, and more particularly a lotion applicator having a retractable belt in a handled configuration that lends to the easy use of the device. The belted applicator includes two handled housing bodies interconnected by a belt. The belted applicator may also include disposable belt cartridges, which include a lotion, or any other substance applied with the belted device. The lotion may be a liquid, a gel, or a powder in a medicinal, massage, moisturizer insect repellent or sunscreen formulation. The belted applicator has leak resistant features that also reduce dripping of lotion from the belt. The belt may feed in sequence, when depleted, with the depleted portion of the belt removed by the user. The belted applicator may also include two interlocked portions that serve to seal the belt within and communicate lotion between the two interlocked portions.

Abstract: A writing pen such as a ballpoint pen having a scented housing or barrel made by including a scented agent (natural or synthetic) into the material (such as plastic) forming the pen housing. In the case of a metal housing or barrel, the pen has a scented coating such as lacquer or enamel. In a preferred embodiment the pen has a grip incorporated into the pen barrel made of a relatively soft, polymeric or rubber material which incorporates a scent giving off the desired aroma. The inventive scented pen is useful as an advertising or other promotional device and includes imprinted advertising, logo or other identification of the source for advertising purposes. The pen has the pleasant aroma of a commercial establishment with which the aroma is associated, such as the aroma of the coffee of a particular coffee house, with the name or logo of the coffee house.

Abstract: A kit for housing an improved design for crayons includes a container with two chambers. One of the chambers is provided with a blade and a rotatable member for assisting a user to position the crayons against the blade for sharpening purposes. Also included are crayons positionable into another chamber for storage. Such crayons have a plurality of integral faces equidistantly spaced apart from a centrally disposed longitudinal axis thereof respectively. The crayon faces define a plurality of angles therebetween with each of the angles equaling approximately 60 degrees, resulting in substantially triangular cross-sections defining an isometric shape.

Abstract: A penmanship aid includes a base portion that has an upper surface, a lower surface, a first lateral side, a second lateral side, a front side and a back side. Each of a pair of supports is hingedly coupled to the base portion. The supports are each positioned adjacent to one of the front and back sides such that each of the supports generally extends upwardly from a respective one of the front and back sides. Each of a pair of biasing members is coupled to one of the supports such that the upper ends are biased toward each other. A ball bearing is rotatably mounted in the lower surface such that the ball bearing extends through a plane of the lower surface. An edge of a hand may be positioned adjacent to the upper surface such that each of the supports is abutting opposite sides of the hand.

Abstract: A handheld marking instrument includes a body having a substantially flat shape, a first chamber formed within the body and having an inner surface configured to receive and contain a marking substance within the body, and a first marking device configured to deliver the marking substance to a desired surface during marking. The first marking device is incorporated in the body and in communication with the first chamber to access the marking substance contained by the inner surface. At least a part of the first marking device is moveable between an exposed position for marking on the desired surface, and a retracted position. In one embodiment, the body has a form factor of a financial transaction card.

In the writing implement having a grip made of elastic resin material fitted on an outer circumferential surface in a grasped area of a barrel, the grip is formed into a cylinder whose inner circumferential surface is fitted on the outer circumferential surface in the grasped area of the barrel, with hollows axially passing through a peripheral wall of the cylinder and with the plurality of hollows circumferentially arranged in parallel, and the grip is fitted on the barrel so as to form a vent passage for communication between the hollows and the outside at an end of the grip.

The coating tool comprises a protection liquid absorbing member for absorbing and holding protection liquid. Abstract: At the time of gripping a writing instrument, a certain degree of gripping force is required for the thumb and other fingers gripping the grip section so that the grip section will not slip. The normal way for supporting the writing instrument only at three points by the thumb, the index finger and the middle finger is not enough for reducing the loads to the thumb and other fingers because excessively large force is unconsciously exerted to the thumb and other fingers. It is also difficult to put the writing instrument in a pocket, a pencil case, etc. When gripping the writing instrument, the direction for gripping the barrel is forcibly determined.

Abstract: A wood-encased pencil for writing, sketching, drawing, and cosmetic purposes includes grip surfaces or grip nubs projecting from at least one surface thereof as handling raised structures. The structures are of a plastic material and are applied in the form of an initially flowable preparation which includes at least one plastic and that later solidifies to give the raised structures. In a first variant, the preparation is anhydrous and is of a radiation-curable plastic. In a second variant, the preparation is, likewise, anhydrous, but its solidification is based on physical drying. For such a purpose, the preparation is of an organic solvent as well as a plastic.

Abstract: The fluid applicator device includes a handle member, a dispensing member, an applicator member and a fluid dispensing mechanism. The handle member acts as a container member adapted to receive and store a fluid. The handle member has an opening, and has a closure device openable and closeable at the opening for insertion of at least one of: a fluid; and a fluid-containing cartridge. The handle member dispensing end connected to a dispensing member that is elongated and substantially cylindrical. The dispensing member has a plurality of apertures to create a dispensing manifold. The hollow applicator member is located around the dispensing member, and may preferably fully extend over the end of the dispensing member, as well. The hollow applicator member is an absorbent, deformable, resilient, sponge-like material, and it is rotatably connected to the dispensing member.

Abstract: Jelly pens are disclosed that may use a unitary elongate pen body made from an elastomer gel, the pen body having a longitudinal bore for insertion of an ink reservoir and writing tip therein. The use of elastomer gel for the entire pen body may provide a more desirable gripping surface on the pen and can provide a pen with a soft, floppy feel during use.

Abstract: A chamois for applying suntan lotions, sunscreens and sunblocks to hard-to-reach areas of the body including a soft, pliable center section and a pair of side sections including one each of a pair of straps at opposite ends thereof for grasping in a user's hands to be operable by a sawing motion, and with the center section having a durable, synthetic fabric material which is semi-absorbent to receive suntan lotion, sunscreen and sunblock liquids directly sprayed or poured thereon as a cream or oil.

Abstract: An applicator having a substantially hollow body for accommodating an ampoule of solution. The hollow body comprises an open proximal end for receiving the ampoule and an open distal end having a flange to accept an applicator pad for applying the solution. A back plug having a lever mechanism is inserted into the open proximal end of the applicator to activate the applicator and seal the applicator after activation. Advancement of the back plug lever mechanism into the hollow body pivots the body of the ampoule to break the neck, activating the applicator. The back plug seals the proximal end after activation of the applicator.

Abstract: A device for coupling writing utensils includes a first engagement member comprising an exterior wall and an interior wall defining a channel capable of receiving a first writing utensil; and a second engagement member including an exterior wall and an interior wall defining a channel capable of receiving a second writing utensil; wherein a portion of the first engagement member is tangentially connected to the second engagement member. The axis of the first engagement member is offset at a selected angle from the axis of the second engagement member, so as to form a generally X-shaped configuration.

Abstract: A housing of a writing instrument for holding an elongated refill has a front portion with a sleeve body made of an inelastic shape-retaining material, carrying a jacket made of an elastic second material, especially to function as a grip. The grip is formed on the sleeve body and extends along a substantial axial length. The grip is affixed by injection of the second material through an opening at a front of the sleeve body forming a starting end of an adjoining axially extending injection channel. One or more radially or laterally oriented apertures in the sleeve body connect to the injection channel and deliver the second material to the outer surface of the sleeve body.

Abstract: A grip 2a using a gel substance 4 capable of preserving its own shape is provided in a grip portion 2 of a barrel 1 of a writing implement 50. An outer coat 3 for covering the grip portion 2 of the barrel 1 is provided. The gel substance 4 is located between the outer coat 3 and the barrel 1, and comes in direct contact with the barrel 1. A centering member 40 for positioning the outer coat 3 coaxially with the barrel 1 is provided between the outer coat 3 and the barrel 1. The centering member 40 is provided with an opening 41 for allowing a space between the outer coat 3 and the barrel 1 to communicate with the outside of the space. The gel substance 4 is formed by injecting a sol substance, which is a raw material, through the opening 41 and by crosslinking the sol substance under a predetermined condition. Thereby, effects of improving the grip feeling in the grip portion of the writing implement and decreasing fatigue caused by long use are provided to the user.

At least one solid or non-fluid body such as a ball or the like is carried within the interior cavity substantially in suspension within the fluid filler material. This non-fluid body is externally visible through the transparent outer sleeve, and movably displaces in response to manual grasping of the implement to visually indicate and confirm shape deformation of the grip.

The application surface has a substantially flat main area with an arcuate leading edge. A spreading lip is disposed opposite the leading edge and extends upwardly and rearwardly and tapers to a free edge to form a spreading blade tip. The leading edge is smoothly rounded to define a gradual transition between the main area of the application surface and a peripheral surface extending around the head to the position of the spreading lip.
