Abstract: A litter lift system includes a winch and a lifting strap. The winch includes a rotatable spool. The lifting strap has one end coupled to the rotatable spool and is movable due to rotation of the rotatable spool. The lifting strap has a first lifting segment and a second lifting segment positioned away from the end of the lifting strap coupled to the rotatable spool. The first lifting segment and the second lifting segment are each forked to interface with a frame of a litter at first lifting segment and second lifting segment distal ends, wherein a coupling is attached to the first lifting segment. Rotation of the rotatable spool in a first direction raises the first lifting segment and the second lifting segment. Rotation of the rotatable spool in a second direction different from the first direction lowers the first lifting segment and the second lifting segment.

Abstract: A litter lift system includes a winch system and a lifting strap. The winch system includes a rotatable spool. The lifting strap has a first end, a second end, and an intermediate segment extending away from the lifting strap between the first end and the second end. The first end is coupled to the rotatable spool such that rotation of the spool in a first direction winds the lifting strap about the spool and rotation of the spool in a second direction unwinds the lifting strap from the spool. The second end defines a first lifting segment and the intermediate segment defines a second lifting segment. The first lifting segment and the second lifting segment are each forked to define two separate lifting loops.

Abstract: A rail assembly is strapped to a tailgate and allows utility attachments to be quick-connected to the rail without the need for tools to connect and disconnect the utility attachments. The rail length can be configured for small, mid, and full-size truck tailgates. Thus, a one package-fits-all design is provided. Example features of the rail assembly include a dual buckle plate, a lock tab, one-piece rail extensions, hex key for assembly, and a trimmable strap pad.

Abstract: A clip capable of magnetic attachment to a paintbrush or to a steel paint roller mesh tray. It has a hook arm extending from the body of the clip that enables a hanging attachment to a plethora of different sized paint cans and at different vertical angles. The clip may be used with continued attachment to the paintbrush where the paintbrush is hung on the paint can when necessary by the hook arm. It may also be used with continued attachment to a steel paint roller mesh tray and the paintbrush is magnetically affixed on the tray when necessary. The sling is configured to swing within the interior space to diminish forces that are applied to contents of the package as the vehicle traverses an uneven surface, accelerates, brakes, and turns.

Abstract: A strap securement apparatus for a refrigeration unit of a refrigerated semi-trailer. The apparatus includes: a curbside vertical strap, a roadside vertical strap, and a horizontal strap having connectors at each strap end configured to attach to the refrigeration unit or the front wall of the semi-trailer, also including curbside and roadside anti-vibration pads configured to reduce vibration of the panels and doors of the enclosure of the refrigeration unit. The strap securement apparatus secures the panels and doors of the refrigeration unit, is easy to install and remove from the refrigeration unit, and can include strap adjustment features to fit to a wide variety of refrigeration unit models. The strap securement apparatus can also be partially removed to provide easy access to doors and panels of the refrigeration unit. It is lightweight, can be folded into a compact size, and is easily transported to and from a refrigerated semi-trailer.

Abstract: Apparatus for covering product containers loaded in a cargo container is disclosed. The apparatus includes an automated cord reel including a spool and a motor configured to drive the spool. The spool when activated reels in a cord attached to a cargo blanket to spread the cargo blanket over product containers in the cargo container in a smooth motion and/or relatively constant speed to prevent snagging on the product containers. The automated cord reel may be configured as a mobile unit with wheels. A brake system may be provided to prevent movement of the automated cord reel during operation. The automated cord reel may have a battery to provide electric power to the motor. A magnetic floor brake may be configured to hold a cart body in a selected position.

A cable in or on the fabric panel is attached to or extends around the left and right cable rings. A cable tensioner tensions the cable to secure the fabric panel in closed position in the door frame.

Abstract: A cinch strap system for securing cargo to a dolly or other type of hand truck having a first and second strap. The first strap has opposing first and second loop ends. A first loop is on the first loop end of the first strap and secures at least two rings to the first strap. A second loop is on the second loop end of the first strap. The second strap is of longer length than the first strap and includes a second strap loop on one end of the second strap. The end of the second strap opposing the second strap loop is a free end.

The extension panel includes a bottom edge connected to a top edge of the main panel and is configured such that the extension panel can be moved from a first position in which the extension panel overlays the main panel to a second position in which the extension panel is contiguous to the main panel. In this configuration, the transportation retention device is operable to retain various heights of articles located on transportation containers.

Abstract: An adjustable strap system is configured to join a load bar to a wall. The adjustable strap system has a strap sewn to itself creating a first end tab. A hook fastener and a loop fastener are sewn to a first side of the strap creating a strap space therebetween. A ring pocket is sewn within the strap. A rectangular ring has a first side in the strap space and a second side in the ring pocket. A clip pocket is sewn with in the strap. The clip pocket is adapted to accommodate a fixed clip. The fixed clip and a movable clip on the strap are operatively connected to the wall such that a load bar surrounded by the strap is tethered to the wall.

Adjustment mechanisms vary the effective size of the cover to fit the size of associated devices including swimming pool heaters, heat pumps, air conditioners and the like.

A ratcheting structure may control rotation of the spool with engaged position in which the ratcheting structure resists rotation of the spool in an unwind direction and a disengaged position in which the ratcheting structure permits rotation of the spool in the unwind direction. The shaft may have a first end portion extending through one of the side walls of the frame, and a section of the first end portion having a substantially hexagonal cross-sectional shape for engagement by a tool.

In some embodiments, tie-down lace interconnects the attachment points to secure together the first mesh and the second mesh.

Abstract: A bilateral cargo strap system is provided as a means of securing a variety of different cargo within a storage area. The bilateral cargo strap system utilizes a combination of elastic straps with perpendicularly positioned stabilizing rods to improve retention of a variety of cargo within a storage area. The elastic straps extend over the retained cargo and are used as the means of engaging mounting features within the storage area. The stabilizing rods effectively distribute the tension force of the elastic straps over the retained cargo securing it in place within the storage space. The bilateral cargo strap system is versatile and may be used to secure a wide variety of cargo including, but not limited to, kayaks, coolers, bicycles, lumber, and construction equipment.

Side rails are disposed on opposed sides of the deck. Abstract: A strap provides additional connection points in a vehicle bed to tethers at more convenient locations than OEM anchor points. The strap includes a ring or series of rings that are connected by webbing segments. A tensioning device is included in the strap to adjust the length of the strap and to provide tension when installed. Two straps can be used along the lateral sides of a pickup-truck bed. Tether such as bungee chords, ropes, straps, or cargo nets can be placed from one strap to another to secure cargo in the bed in ways that are not possible when using the OEM anchor points alone.

Abstract: A net is provided having a plurality of net members, the net members being arranged in a lattice structure and having a thickness (D1). The net is further provided with attachment devices having a thickness (D2) which are connected to the net members, the thickness (D2) of the attachment devices being larger that the thickness of the net members (D1) at least at the places of connection through which loads are transmitted between the net members and the attachment devices. The ratio between the thickness of the net members and the thickness of the attachment devices (D1/D2) is at least 1.15. The net is useful as a barrier net to secure an off-limits area and as a cargo net to restrain cargo movement on a platform of a pallet.

Abstract: A restraining strap securement system for a trailer includes a load-restraining strap with a flat hook that connects to the trailer side rail. The trailer side rail extends along the sides of the trailer and comprises a bottom wall with an opening for receiving the flat hook. A keeper slides upon a rail affixed to the bottom wall and the keeper may be positioned to extend beneath the flat hook and prevent the flat from falling from the opening while the strap is being tightened. The keeper may comprise a hook that can be used to secure tarps or ropes over the trailer load.

Abstract: A strap assembly for securing a vehicle load includes a fixed flat strap secured around a buckle crossbar and a specially configured hook attached to an end of the strap. The parts are configured such that that upon engaging the hook and crossbar there is preferably an interference fit, allowing a major loop to be formed in the strap that will remain securely engaged even when there is slack in the strap. Additionally, the hook/buckle combination is preferably configured such that substantially rotating the hook relative the buckle is required to disengage the two. There is also preferably a second similar hook attached to the opposing end of a second adjustable strap, and a small twisted and/or folded loop built into the strap allowing a second major loop by engaging the second hook with the twisted and/or folded loop.

Methods of coupling straps together via such connectors, and the resulting net-like structure, are also described.

Abstract: A cargo restraint apparatus for a cargo receptacle of truck is disclosed. The apparatus is composed of a track with engagement holes and a fastener. The fastener includes a seat with a sliding trough and a passage. Two guide plates are fixed on two sides of the seat. Each guide plate has an inclined guide tongue slidably received in the track. An insert is received in the sliding trough. A lever has a pivot hole at a center thereof for connecting to a pivot of the seat and a handle end and an action end are defined on two opposite sides of the lever. The action end is pivoted to the shaft. A torsion spring is disposed on the pivot and bears against the seat and the lever. The insert is normally engaged in one of the engagement holes.
