Abstract: A blackhead removing agent, a blackhead removing sheet and a method for producing the blackhead removing sheet are disclosed. The blackhead removing sheet comprises a base layer which is composed of a nonwoven fabric having the fineness of 0.0001 denier or more but less than 0.1 denier, and a blackhead removing layer consisting of the blackhead removing agent that contains a water-soluble macromolecular compound as a primary component. The blackhead removing agent comprises a water-soluble macromolecular compound, a filler, and a plasticizer that is compatible with the water-soluble macromolecular compound. The amount of the plasticizer in the blackhead removing agent is less than 0.01 parts by weight with respect to 100 parts by weight of the water-soluble macromolecular compound. The water-soluble macromolecular compound preferably includes a copolymer of N-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone and vinyl acetate as a primary component.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a composition and use of polymeric urethane ester quats as an active ingredient for skin and hair contacting personal care compositions and products related thereto. These compositions are generally produced by the reaction of a trialkanolamine with a hydroxy fatty acid to produce a trialkanolamine fatty acid ester, which is then polymerized with a diisocyanate and in preferred embodiments, further reacted with a quaternizing agent, to produce preferred quaternized compositions according to the present invention.

Abstract: A skin conditioner made of all natural ingredients that eliminates body dandruff leaving the skin able to breathe and feeling soft and supple; “skin like an angel”. The conditioner can be heated prior to application in order to provide a more relaxing feel to the user and is massaged into the skin of all or part of the body. Thereafter, the conditioner is rinsed or showered off. The conditioner can also be massaged into the scalp to eliminate dandruff and condition the scalp and hair. Ingredients of the conditioner include sea salt, Epsom salt, almond oil, apricot kernel oil, avocado oil, jojoba oil, aloe vera gel, castor oil, vitamin E, vegetable glycerin and soap. Essential oils may optionally be included in the conditioner to add fragrance. The preferred soap is castile however other soaps such as antibacterial soap can be used. If the product is heated prior to use, it should not be heated above 100° F. in order to prevent a change in the molecular structure of some of the ingredients.

  • Patent number: RE38158
Abstract: This invention is related to an adhesive composition which may be used to bond or seal tissue in vivo. The adhesive composition is readily formed from a two component mixture which includes a first part of a protein, preferably a serum albumin protein, in an aqueous buffer having a pH in the range of about 8.0-11.0 and a second part of a water-compatible or water-soluble bifunctional crosslinking agent. When the two parts of the mixture are combined, the mixture is initially a liquid which cures in vivo on the surface of tissue in less than about one minute to give a strong, flexible, pliant substantive composition which bonds to the tissue and is absorbed in about four to sixty days. The adhesive composition may be used either to bond tissue, to seal tissue or to prevent tissue adhesions caused by surgery.
