Abstract: A measurement control method uses an ending target position Xes calculated by adding a prescribed length Ls to a measurement ending position Xe. A rotation rate pattern Ar for rotating a screw 2, a back pressure Ps in relation to the screw 2, and a retraction rate pattern Ab for the screw 2 to retract, are set in advance. The remaining rotation rate pattern Ar to stop the rotation of the screw 2 at the ending target position Xes from the detected screw position X, is calculated at the time of measurement, and the rotation of the screw 2 is stopped based on the calculation. Further, the remaining retraction rate pattern Ab is calculated from the detected retraction rate Vd, and the retraction of the screw 2 is stopped based on the calculation. The result is the stopping of the screw at the measurement ending position Xe.

Abstract: The method and the device are used for blow-molding containers. A preform made of a thermoplastic material is first subject to a thermal conditioning operation along a transport path in the region of a heating section. Thereafter, the preform is formed into the container inside a blowing mold by applying blowing pressure. While the preform is shaped into the container, at least one parameter (49, 50) characterizing the shaping is measured and evaluated by a control unit. Depending on said evaluation, at least one controlled variable (48, 46) influencing the shaping operation inside a closed loop is varied in order to match the measured parameter to an associated target value. In this way, it becomes possible to subject the container parison developing during the blow-molding operation to a predetermined defined development.

Abstract: The invention relates to an adjustment method, especially for the adjustment of optical or fiber optical components, whereby a partial region of an actuator is locally heated in such a defined manner that compressive stresses are created therein as a result of the restricted thermal expansion of said heated partial region, caused by at least one other partial region of the actuator. If the yielding point ? of the material of the partial region is exceeded, said compressive stresses lead to the plastic compression of the heated partial region. Furthermore, said heated partial region is contracted during cooling and leads to a defined modification of the geometry of the actuator following the cooling process. Tensile stresses are created as a result of a restriction of said contraction by means of at least one other partial region in the previously heated partial region, and compressive stresses are frozen in the at least one other region.

Abstract: A system in which gravitation and inertial effects on platen verticality and sagging are compensated by an anti-tilt actuator (68, 70). A hydraulic actuator (68, 70) secured beneath the platen is either set to offset only gravitationally-related sagging of the mold half (60, 62) by providing a compensating upward force (relative to a stable clamp base 80), or otherwise its upward force can be dynamically adjusted also to compensate for swaying or tilting of the mold-platen assembly caused by stroke cylinder (98) operation and related inertia/momentum effects. Preferably, a level sensor (94) measures and communicates a degree of horizontalness/verticality of the platen (48, 50) to a machine controller (88) which, in turn, generates a control signal (87) to cause variation in cylinder pressure in the anti-tilt actuator (68, 70), thereby achieving substantially continuous alignment between the mold halves (60, 62) and reduced component wear.

Abstract: An aspect of the invention provides a heat treatment method of a thermoplastic resin film comprising running a strip shaped thermoplastic resin film in a longitudinal direction and heating the thermoplastic resin film while holding the edge of the film in a width direction to conduct a heat treatment, wherein a tension of the thermoplastic resin film in the width direction is controlled to be constant. According to the aspect of the invention, since a thermoplastic resin film during a heat treatment is held with a constant tension in a width direction, the thermoplastic resin film during the heat treatment can be prevented from sagging or pulling excessively. Therefore, occurrence of variability of optical characteristics can be prevented, and thus a thermoplastic resin film excellent in optical characteristics can be produced.

The aging operation is performed a predetermined number of times on the same flexible tube, so that the flexible tube is bent more largely with increase in the number of execution.
Abstract: In forming a plastic mold product having an inner hole, a flash of a degree which is required to be removed in a following step is prevented from occurring. The cutter punch 12 in one of the stationary mold 1 and the movable mold 2, the gas passage 7 in at least one of the stationary mold 1 and the movable mold 2 to communicate with the cavity 54, a valve provided on a gas pipe which communicates with the gas passage 7, and a controller are provided. The cutter punch 12 is adapted to be movable between a normal position for injection of the melted resin and a projected position in which the cutter punch 12 projects into the cavity 54 so that a clearance remains between the cutter punch 12 and its counterpart at the position for forming the optical disk substrate with the inner hole, with the gas coming out of the gas passage being capable of flowing into the clearance.
