Abstract: A method is described for manufacturing a finish formulation for the hydrophobic and/or oleophobic finishing of surfaces, comprising a dispersant incorporating dispersed, activated particles with hydrophobic and/or oleophobic surface groups and a binder, in which particles with hydrophobic and/or oleophobic surface groups are comminuted in the dispersant for activation, and the binder is added before or after activation. The obtained finish formulation clearly improves the physical properties of a transparent finish while maintaining very good hydrophobing/oleophobing. It is suitable for finishing all surfaces, in particular for finishing fibers or textiles of all kinds.

The first strap is wound spirally and axially on the first transparent plastic body and maintains a predetermined interval along the first transparent plastic body. The second transparent plastic body is wrapped onto the first transparent plastic body and the first strap. The second transparent plastic body has a thickness from 0.5 mm to 1.5 mm, so that the first strap can provide a light refraction effect due to the thickness of the second transparent plastic body, and show a visual effect of winding the first strap onto the second transparent plastic body. The color and interval of the transparent plastic bodies and straps can be changed for different designs.

Abstract: A flexible, low-bulk pre-impregnated (pre-preg) towpreg, which is the resultant impregnation of a low pressure impregnation of a bundle of un-spread fiber tows arranged in a predetermined cross-sectional shape. During the low pressure impregnation process, the resin does not enter into the fiber bundle, but rather only coats the surface fibers comprising the tow, resulting in un-coated fibers in the core of the prepreg and with molten resin, partially adhering onto and around the exterior fibers of the fiber bundle such that the interior fibers remain uncoated and a thin, irregular sheath of resin is created on and around the exterior of the fiber bundle surrounding the core of dry fibers.
