A pocket portion is formed by etching a sealing glass substrate with hydrofluoric acid by using a plurality of resist patterns disposed in a matrix as a mask. Then, concaves and convexes are formed on a bottom of the pocket portion, i.e. on a surface of the sealing glass substrate. A desiccant layer is formed on the bottom of the pocket portion. By rough-surfacing as above, the anchor effect is generated to increase adhesive force of the desiccant layer to the sealing glass substrate, preventing the desiccant layer from peeling off the sealing substrate.

Heat is then applied to the assembly to cause the pieces of silicone sheet material to crosslink together and encapsulate the indicia-containing element.

  • Patent number: 6645597
Abstract: A floor mat for containing household liquid spills. The containment mat includes a folded sheet that contains spilled liquids, and an absorption sheet which absorbs them. The absorption sheet is held in place by the containment sheet entirely by surface tension between the two sheets, and is therefore easily removed and replaced. The containment sheet is sewn in a folded configuration having interlocking corners, thus ensuring that there is no slit in the mat through which the liquids could escape. A fitted cover protects and holds the containment and absorption sheets together as a compact unit.

Abstract: A method of processing greensheets for use as microelectronic substrates comprises providing a greensheet having a width, a length and a thickness, bonding to the greensheet, within the greensheet width and length, a frame adapted to constrain movement of the greensheet within the frame, processing the greensheet and bonded frame, and removing the frame from the processed greensheet. The processing of the greensheet and bonded frame may include punching vias in the greensheet, filling the vias in the greensheet with conductive material, patterning the greensheet by applying conductive paste to the vias and greensheet surface, stacking the patterned greensheet and bonded frame with at least one other patterned greensheet and bonded frame, and laminating the greensheets. The frame is preferably removed from the processed greensheet after laminating the greensheets, and before the laminated greensheets are subsequently sintered.

Abstract: A composite structural material suitable, for example, as a replacement for wooden boards, is disclosed. It comprises a dimensionally stable core material ensheathed in a dimensionally stable, laminar covering that is adherent to the core material. The laminar covering is comprised of at least one layer of parallel cords bonded to at least one layer of a rigidified web material selected from the group consisting of paper and cloth. Suitable core materials include polyurethane foam, optionally filled with granulated rubber and/or expandable polymer beads. The parallel cords preferably are supplied in the form of a strip of polyester cloth, as the warp cords thereof. The web material preferably is kraft paper that is rigidified with an epoxy resin.

Abstract: An organic electroluminescent device with an encapsulation film formed by wet processing and a manufacturing method thereof. The organic electroluminescent device includes a laminate structure including an anode, an organic light emitting layer and a cathode sequentially disposed on a substrate, and an encapsulation film having a polymer layer made of a polymerization product of a vinyl monomer covering the laminate structure. In the method for manufacturing the organic electroluminescent device, a laminate structure including an anode, an organic light emitting layer and a cathode sequentially disposed is formed on a substrate. An organic solution containing a vinyl monomer and a polymerization initiator is coated on the laminate structure. A polymerization reaction is induced to the organic solution coated on the laminate structure, thereby forming an encapsulation film made of a polymer layer on the laminate structure.
