Abstract: An improved fixing pin support for a dental prosthesis in order to be able to connect the dental prosthesis to a jaw by means of fixing pins which can each be moved through a guide bore in the fixing pin support. The improved fixing pin support has a guide sleeve separate from it which can be temporarily fitted over the fixing pin support so that the guide bore can be formed in the fixing pin support through a guide channel in the guide sleeve, by precise guidance of a drill. After this, the guide sleeve can be removed from the fixing pin support.

Abstract: A method for making a rapid prototype of a patient's mouth to be used in the design and fabrication of a dental prosthesis. The method takes an impression of a mouth including a first installation site having a dental implant installed in the first installation site and a gingival healing abutment having at least one informational marker attached to the dental implant. A stone model is prepared based on the impression, including teeth models and model markers indicative of the at least one informational marker. The model is scanned. Scan data is generated from the scanning. The scan data is transferred to a CAD program. A three-dimensional model of the installation site is created in the CAD program. The at least one informational marker is determined to gather information for manufacturing the rapid prototype. Rapid prototype dimensional information is developed.

Abstract: Molds for fabrication of custom and potentially modifiable abutments and impression posts for dental implants with various degrees of angulations (including zero degrees) and various dimensions are provided, with a generally oval shape that expands laterally upwards, a symmetrical or asymmetrical cross-section, and regular surfaces, that are fabricated as one piece, or as two coupling pieces snapping onto each other. Custom abutments achieve the development of a custom gingival emergence profile, three dimensionally, which is potentially modifiable according to the needs of each particular clinical case. Custom impression posts that correspond in dimensions and angulations to the abutments allow the accurate recording and transfer of the developed gingival emergence profile from the mouth onto the working cast, where the final implant prosthesis is fabricated.

Abstract: Devices and methods to perform elevation of the Schneiderian membrane in a safe, easy and minimally invasive manner are described. The devices include a cannula and a balloon. A liquid can be introduced through the cannula inside the maxillary sinus below the Schneiderian membrane to elevate the Schneiderian membrane. The balloon can be inflated through the cannula so the balloon will be expanded inside the maxillary sinus below the Schneiderian membrane while being surrounded by the liquid which was previously introduce inside the maxillary sinus. The expansion of the balloon is safely further elevating the Schneiderian membrane in a controlled amount and location.
Abstract: A resin-retained denture bridge having an improved bonding between a false tooth or teeth of the bridge and a retainer wire of the bridge is provided in the present invention, wherein a coupling recess is formed on a lingual side of the false tooth and a protrusion or an omega-shaped bend is formed on the retainer wire. The protrusion or omega-shaped bend is received in the coupling recess of the false tooth after or prior to a resin being filled in the coupling recess, which is then cured to form a secure engagement, so that the false tooth is bonded to the retainer with the end portions of the retainer wire extending laterally from the false tooth.
