Means For Open Window (e.g., Deflector, Etc.) Patents (Class 454/128)
  • Patent number: 11325448
Abstract: A side window visor designed to attach to a vehicle window channel. The side window visor can be arranged and configured to extend over a portion of a window area for preventing inclement weather from entering the passenger cabin with the window slightly opened. A full length tab is reduced to form a plurality of tabs along the tab area of a side window visor. The plurality of tabs located on the side window visor allows the auto-up window feature to be used without causing large resistance and retraction of the window.

  • Patent number: 7762876
Abstract: The cabin exhaust device ventilates vehicles provided with retractable windows and mounts on a portion of the vehicle, preferably on a door frame or in an opening between a window panel and a window frame. The cabin exhaust device comprises a squeegee and a ventilation panel having an air dam, a first portion, and a second portion, wherein the first and second portions are provided with angularly oriented apertures, thereby creating a vacuum on the vehicle's interior side. The first and second portions are outwardly convexed, thereby facilitating the creation of a pressure differential between the vehicle's interior and its exterior, thus forcing the air and other contaminants out from the vehicle's interior.

  • Patent number: 7658670
Abstract: A combined window-screen and ventilation system includes first and second non-corrosive conduits that are conjoined to the vehicle's existing air circulating system. The conduits are in fluid communication with the air circulating system such that air can flow therethrough. The conduits terminate rearward of a vehicle's front window and are provided with spaced apertures so that air is discharged towards side door window openings and a sunroof opening. Window screens are interfitted within the door window and the sunroof openings. A mechanism is included for circulating stagnant air within the vehicle. The air circulating mechanism is seated within the vehicle interior, is conjoined to the sunroof, is independently and contemporaneously operable with the vehicle air-circulating system, and is remotely operable up to 50 feet away, for example.

  • Patent number: 6137404
Abstract: Motorized operating mechanisms for vehicle portal closure members, such as windows, sunroofs, sliding doors, hatches, or convertible tops are common in modern automobiles. Inadvertent operation of such closure members, however, has been known to cause injury and entrapment when such a member is directed to close at an inappropriate moment. A vehicle entrapment prevention system is provided which prevents undesired and possibly injurious operation of such a vehicle portal closure member. Undesired operation often occurs when younger occupants, such as small children, accidentally trigger the operating mechanism, which can cause the closure member to entrap an unsuspecting victim. Such an entrapment prevention system ensures safe operation by determining the presence of a responsible operator through the use of various sensors, and permits operation of a portal closure member only in the presence of such a responsible operator.

  • Patent number: 6030285
Abstract: A device for dissipating heat from a car and having discharge ports the angle of which is adjustable. The device includes a body, an air discharge rotary cylinder having discharge ports, a fan blade shaft, and a securing device. The body is comprised of left and right casings that together define upper and lower cylindrical receiving chambers for receiving the rotary cylinder and the fan blade shaft respectively. The securing device includes a wedge-shaped insert plate and an elastic clamp plate. The insert plate extends downwardly from the bottom of the body and is adapted to insert into a gap between a window glass pane and a window frame of a car, with the clamp plate clamping against the car door. The body is connected via a main body to a car window drive circuit. Before the driver enters the car, the window can be lowered using a remote controller and the fan blade shaft in the body can be actuated to begin drawing out the hot air inside the car to thereby lower the temperature inside the car.

  • Patent number: 5551746
Abstract: A side window arrangement is disclosed which has main and auxiliary window cutouts which are separated from one another and are arranged one behind the other in the opening direction of the window, a window side pane having an opening which can be moved into the auxiliary window cutout. The auxiliary window cutout serves as a ventilation cutout located underneath the main window cutout. This arrangement contrasts with known side windows, which, when opened by a small gap to ventilate the vehicle internal space, causes the occupants of the vehicle to be adversely affected by air eddying occurring at head level and by aerodynamic noise. In the case of obliquely previously known arranged side windows, water enters when it is raining even if the windows are only opened slightly.
