  • Patent number: 9992054
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for presenting content items. In one aspect, a method includes identifying an opportunity to present a content item at a device and in a manner that precludes a user from accessing content of one or more applications executing on the device. Data relating to a status of each of the one or more applications are identified. A level of urgency for a user to access content of the one or more applications is determined based on the data. A response to the opportunity to present a content item is selected based on the level of urgency for the user to access content of the one or more applications. The response is selected from a first response that causes presentation of the content item and a second response that precludes presentation of the content item.

  • Patent number: 9992683
Abstract: Various embodiments described herein include systems and methods directed towards allowing a wearable device with one or more sensors to communicate with a third-party network or device. The wearable device's software may include user interfaces wherein a user may select a data set from a particular sensor and allocate a security level associated with that sensor's data and with a particular third-party network. Different security levels may be correlated to different protections, such as encryption or password-protection of data, or ensuring that an agreement has been signed, or ensuring that the third party is identified in a database before transmission. Before sending any sensor data or receiving any third party data, the wearable device may check this user-allocated security level, executes any required security precautions, and allows or denies the data transfer accordingly. Security levels may also govern receipt of data by the wearable device from the third party.

  • Patent number: 9984049
Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to providing call context to content providers. A tracker receives a selection of a content item associated with a keyword. The tracker stores, in an impression data structure, tracking data including the keyword. The tracker maps the selected content item to a first virtual number and generates a link there between. The tracker receives a call from a client device to initiate a first communication channel via the first virtual number. The tracker performs a lookup in a database using the first virtual number to identify a second virtual number corresponding to the content provider and to identify the tracking data. The tracker establishes, via the second virtual number, a second communication channel between the client device and a content provider device. The tracker provides the tracking data to the content provider via the second communication channel.
