[Constitution] A mobile phone includes: a camera module 24 for shooting a subject; a memory 105 for storing address book information including telephone numbers; a numeric key portion 11 for an input; and a CPU 100 for extracting the address book information relating to information input by the numeric key portion 11 from the memory 105 and for storing an image shot by the camera module 24 by correlating the image with the address book information in the memory 105 at the same time. When the subject is shot by the camera module 24 after the information is input by the numeric key portion 11, the CPU 100 correlates the image with the extracted address book information and stores them in the memory 105.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices enable management of notifications across mobile devices and the separation of the notification (e.g., an alarm) from the communication (e.g., an email or SMS message that was the subject of the alarm). By separately managing the manner of notification provided to the user from its associated communication (e.g., managing a vibration or ring announcing a text message separate from the text message itself), the various embodiments enable users to better manage their communications under a variety of circumstances. In the various embodiments, notifications may be managed based on various criteria, such as a communication sender's identity, user device settings, user activities, user device state, user calendar information, time, location, user history data, and/or communication type.

The method includes receiving communication from a user on a device upon which the user is not registered at a 2-stage dialing server, authenticating the user, determining a Public User ID (PUID) for the user, receiving an identification of a called party from the user, arranging for IMS services to be provided to the user on the device, sending an INVITE signal from the 2-stage dialing server on behalf of the user PUID to the called party and setting up the media connection from the device to the device associated with the called party.

Abstract: A system, method and computer-readable medium for allowing the use of an alternative numbering plan for delivering short messages to mobile subscribers using the public mobile telephone network is provided. Users of an enterprise or other closed networks as well as users that are not part of a closed network may send short messages destined to members of an enterprise or closed network from their mobile or other devices associated with their subscription using an alternative enterprise directory number, such as the office number, instead of the mobile number, such that the alternative number will be presented at the destination device as the originating number. The recipient may respond to the message by addressing the response to the enterprise or closed network number, and the response may be delivered to the originator's mobile or other device associated with their subscription.

The area is designed to receive a cellular component, and a connection element is designed to mate the microphone in the organizer component with the cellular component, to use the organizer as a part of a cellular telephone.

Abstract: A vPBX server manages calls in a bridged line appearance (BLA) group. A BLA group can include extensions for location-aware mobile devices. The vPBX server contains location based forwarding rules that can be applied together with BLA redirection rules in managing incoming calls. A single extension can appear as a user interface element (e.g., an icon or button) on multiple mobile devices. Using the user interface element, a primary user can view a secondary user's status, including the secondary user's location information. The vPBX server allows the primary user to redirect the incoming calls to devices in accordance with the forwarding rules and the redirection rules.

A service organization receives the emergency phone call, recognizes a user as a ward by determining customer information according to the user's calling ID (CID), and simultaneously requests a phone call connection to a plurality of guardians of the ward according to the user's customer information. When a specific guardian of the plurality of guardians receives a phone call, a phone call between the ward and the specific guardian is connected by using a communication repeater of the service organization.

Abstract: Described are a system and method for processing content in a unified communications environment. As part of an electronic communication session between a first party electronic device and at least one second party electronic device, an identifier is received from the first party electronic device at the at least one second party electronic device. A search is performed for collaborative history data at the second party electronic device using the identifier. Data related to the electronic communication session and/or the collaborative history data is presented at the second party electronic device.

Abstract: A caller may initiate a phone call to a device. A call preview system may send a preview message in conjunction with the phone call. The preview message may contain preview information that identifies the caller. The call preview system may use a text or media messaging service to send the preview message. Callers can manage their own preview information relieving each user from continuously updating contact information in personal contact directories. The call preview system may use different schemes for initiating phone calls. In one example, the call preview system may initiate or forward phone calls in conjunction with sending the preview message. In another example, the call preview system may delay calling a phone number or delay forwarding the phone call until a message is received acknowledging the preview message or accepting the phone call.

Abstract: A communications system includes a mobile computing device having a dynamic address and mobile web server software. A network web server has a portal web page at which a web client can reliably and consistently establish an internet connection. In response to receiving a request from the web client to access the mobile computing device, the network web server re-routes the web client from a static address of the network web server to the assigned address of the mobile computing device. The mobile computing device repeatedly registers the current version of its address with the network web server. The mobile computing device, network web server and web client are commercially available, off-the-shelf components that require only targeted configuration changes to perform the disclosed re-routing operations.

Abstract: A technique for protecting location information of a subscriber in a mobile network is disclosed. A User Mobility Server (UMS) receives a first query from a first call state control function (CSCF). The UMS transmits a call setup and a subscriber identity to a servicing-call state control function (S-CSCF). The S-CSCF may have no record of the subscriber identity due to a restart are some other event. The UMS receives a second query from the S-CSCF based in part of the subscriber identity. The UMS transmits a home address of a mobile station to the S-CSCF. The UMS may also transmit a profile download to the S-CSCF.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for managing interruptions in a multiple communication mode environment are provided herein. For example, a method may include receiving at least first and second instances of communication data associated with first and second communication modes; obtaining first and attribute data related to the first and second instances of communication data; classifying the first and second instances of communication data into first and second categories based on the first and second attribute data using the interruption management device; and determining whether to interrupt a user by delivering the first instance of communication data or the second instance of communication data based on the first and second categories, respectively. The first category and the second category may be selected from a plurality of predetermined categories using a classification algorithm. The first communication mode may be different than the second communication mode.

The transmission of the message from the calling party to the called party is authorized only in the case where the selected audiovisual media element is representative of the called party.

Abstract: A system and method for managing voice mail messages associated with a mobile device. The method can include receiving, by a processor of the mobile device, at least one identifier associated with a sending device that initially stored, external to the mobile device, a visual voice mail message associated with the mobile device. The processor can compare the at least one identifier with one or more lists of predetermined identifiers stored on the mobile device. The one or more lists include at least one of a list of approved predetermined identifiers and a list of disapproved predetermined identifiers. Based on the comparison, appropriated actions can occur based on rules stored on the mobile device.

Abstract: The subject disclosure describes monitoring when a headset is in communication with a mobile communication device, detecting the headset, comparing a name of a caller and a telephone number of the caller against a list of names and telephone numbers previously stored in a memory, determining that the name of the caller or the telephone number of the caller matches one of the names and telephone numbers in the list, determining that the one of the names and telephone numbers is associated with a pre-recorded message that the user previously recorded and stored in the memory, retrieving the pre-recorded message, and performing a text-to-speech conversion on the name and telephone number of the caller to generate a synthesized speech signal spoken text message and sending the synthesized speech signal and the pre-recorded message to the headset. Abstract: A system and method are disclosed for searching and processing contacts. A system that incorporates teachings of the present disclosure may include, for example, a mobile communication device has a transceiver, and a controller for controlling operations thereof. The controller is programmed to receive from an end user of the mobile communication device a request for a contact, and search for the contact in a phonebook of the mobile communication device. The controller is programmed to replace the caller identification of the mobile communication device with a corresponding caller identification that emulates the enterprise identification as if the mobile originated call originated from within the enterprise when the mobile communication device is not located within a vicinity of the enterprise. Additional embodiments are also disclosed.

When a received data record includes a subscriber identifier and a handset type identifier, the table is updated appropriately and when the received data record includes the subscriber identifier but does not include the handset type identifier, the data record enrichment module checks the table for the handset type identifier mapped to the subscriber identifier and adds the corresponding handset type identifier, if it is present in the table, to the handset type identifier field in the data record.

Abstract: A method for a network side to logout a mobile station (MS) in an idle mode is provided. The method includes receiving, by a paging agent of network side entities, a location update request message carrying a power-off indication sent from the MS; sending, by the paging agent, a location update confirm message, to an anchor paging controller/location register of the network side entities. According to the location update confirm message, the anchor paging controller/location register triggers at least one network side entity of the network side entities to release resources associated with the MS and delete a context of the MS stored in the at least one network side entity. Accordingly, the system resources are saved.

Abstract: Systems and techniques are provided for managing and categorizing undesired phone calls and text messages. In a specific implementation, an electronic communication identified by a phone number is intercepted at a mobile communications device before the electronic communication is received by an application program on the device. The phone number is sent to a server for the server to identify a category associated with the phone number. The category is received at the mobile communication device. Based on the received category, a determination is made as to whether the application program should be allowed to receive the electronic communication. If allowed, the electronic communication is forwarded to the application program; else, the electronic communication is not forwarded.

Abstract: When a user B presses a button, a display unit generates a pseudo-random number based on a clock time of a first clock and a unique ID of the display unit, then displays the generated pseudo-random number on a liquid crystal display. Upon receiving a signal from a mobile telephone, a telephone transfer server receives information generated by operating the mobile telephone. Upon receiving the information, the telephone transfer server generates a pseudo-random number based on a clock time of a second clock and the unique ID of the display unit stored in advance, and determines whether or not the pseudo-random number so generated matches the pseudo-random number in the received information. In the affirmative case, the telephone transfer server connects the mobile telephone to a fixed telephone.

In response to receiving a call request from an originating device for a voice call to a recipient mobile device, it is determined whether a database in the mobile communication network includes a caller-specific image associated with a caller at an originating mobile device. When the database is determined to include the caller-specific image, the image is sent via a network data connection to the recipient mobile device for display as part of an incoming call notification at the device. The voice call from the originating mobile device is allowed to proceed to the recipient mobile device, only after the caller-specific image is sent to the recipient mobile device.

Abstract: Techniques for increasing the battery life on a mobile device by decreasing the energy consumption of the mobile device's wireless fidelity (Wi-Fi) interface are described. In one embodiment, the mobile device's Wi-Fi interface is automatically disabled when the device is not engaged. When the device receives a wake up call from a server via its Cellular interface, the Wi-Fi interface is enabled if the device answers the wake up call and the Wi-Fi interface is available. Using its Wi-Fi interface, the mobile device then connects to an IP-based network via a Wi-Fi access point.

Abstract: A system and method for updating physical address location information of a wireless device for E911 services. The updating may include determining that the current geographical coordinate location of the wireless device has moved beyond a predetermined distance from a last recorded geographical coordinate location. A physical address location associated with the current geographical coordinate location may then be updated. The physical address location may be updated in the wireless device and/or a data repository operating on a data packet network. The physical address location may be communicated to a public safety answering point (PSAP) in response to an emergency 911 call being placed.
