Abstract: The invention generally pertains to a method for providing a purchase incentive associated with the purchase of a product bundle to an end user using a mobile device connected to a transaction server over a mobile phone network. By way of example, a secure connection is created over the mobile phone network to exchange information between the transaction server and the mobile device. The end user selects the desired product bundle level—as a result receives a purchase incentive, i.e., cash rebate, remittance, refund and/or other monies—and delivery method using the mobile device. The mobile device connects to a third party payment processor over a secure connection, which charges the end user for the purchase of the product bundle. Specifically, the third party payment processor charges the purchase to the user's mobile phone account with a mobile carrier.

Abstract: Messages received by a mobile device can be processed in one of at least two modes. In the normal mode, the messages are handled in accordance with the normal settings of the mobile device. In the filtered mode, or “night-time” mode, incoming messages are examined to determine if they are to be filtered or if they are exempt from filtering. If a message is exempt from filtering, it is processed in accordance with the normal mode. However, if the message is to be filtered, the mobile device is prevented from providing normal message reception alert notifications. The system includes a mobile phone software application installed on a transacting user's mobile phone which is configured to compose a digital fingerprint uniquely associated with the specific mobile phone on which it is installed. The system further includes an authentication service provider with which users of the system may be enrolled by registering at least the digital identifiers composed by the applications installed on their mobile communication devices in an authentication database. The authentication service provider is configured to authenticate secure transactions on request from secure transaction hosts by sending transaction confirmation requests to mobile phones of enrolled users requiring them to confirm or deny secure transactions before such transactions are allowed to be finalized.

The method comprises: obtaining number information of a calling party according to a calling request from the calling party; sending an inquiry request to a cloud contact list server according to the number information of the calling party; receiving contact information corresponding to the number information of the calling party from the cloud contact list server; and displaying the contact information. When a cold call is received from an unknown number, the mobile terminal, server and calling method based on the cloud contact list provided in the present disclosure may obtain the contact information corresponding to the number from the cloud contact list, and then display the contact information to the user. Abstract: The subject disclosure describes monitoring when a headset is in communication with a mobile communication device, detecting the headset, comparing a name of a caller and a telephone number of the caller against a list of names and telephone numbers previously stored in a memory, determining that the name of the caller or the telephone number of the caller matches one of the names and telephone numbers in the list, determining that the one of the names and telephone numbers is associated with a pre-recorded message that the user previously recorded and stored in the memory, retrieving the pre-recorded message, and performing a text-to-speech conversion on the name and telephone number of the caller to generate a synthesized speech signal spoken text message and sending the synthesized speech signal and the pre-recorded message to the headset. Abstract: A method of providing particular account configurations to a user of a mobile device based on a predetermined account configuration offering between a mobile device manufacturer and a third-party service provider based on a code stored on the mobile device. During the out-of-box experience (OOBE) when the user is initially configuring the mobile device, the third-party provider receives user information, a code, and a mobile device identification number. The third-party service provider confirms that the mobile device is eligible for the particular account configuration by using the code and mobile device identification number. Once account configuration eligibility is confirmed, the third-party service provider associates the particular account configuration with either an existing user account or with a new user account established during the OOBE.

A method for performing handover by a terminal includes transmitting, to a serving femto base station, a message for requesting seamless handover within a group including multiple femto base stations, the serving femto base station belonging to the group; receiving, from the serving femto base station, first command message including power information and allocation information; broadcasting an uplink signal that is applied with transmission power indicated by the power information, through an uplink resource indicated by the allocation information; receiving second command messages including measurements of the uplink signal measured by the multiple femto base stations from the serving femto base stations; and performing network re-entry to a target base station among the femto base stations.

Abstract: A user can have a contract with a mobile communication provider such that a limited number of communication minutes can be used overall or a limited number of minutes can be used with other providers. When incoming call identification information is disclosed, additional information can be presented relating to the contract, such as what provider the incoming call uses and how many free minutes the user has with an incoming provider. The user, in determining if the incoming communication should be engaged, can employ the additional information and make an appropriate decision.

Abstract: A method of limiting presentation of rules based events includes receiving a request to view a rules based event at a computer. A first estimate of a first geographic location of the computer is obtained. The first estimate includes a first confidence determination. If the first confidence determination is less than a first established confidence level, a second estimate of the first geographic location of the computer is obtained. The second estimate includes a second confidence determination for comparison to a second established confidence level. The first estimate and the second estimate define a composite estimated geographic location of the computer. Information on a second geographic location of the rules based event is retrieved. The retrieved information is compared with the composite estimated geographic location of the computer. Access to the rules based event is provided based on access rules, the comparison, and the composite estimated geographic location.

Forwarded messages are automatically reformatted for the receiving device, while a copy of the original message is retained. The reformatted message can include more than one phone number, in which case the sender's phone numbers can be prioritized for presentation to the user. The reformatted message can also present the user with an option to review notes or other contact-specific information prior to responding to the message.

Abstract: A directory server may proactively provide to a remote mobile phone (or similar device) recent contextual information associated with callers who are likely to call the remote mobile phone, such that the remote mobile phone is likely to have a local set of recent contextual data about a given caller when the caller places a call to the remote mobile phone (or visa versa). When an unknown caller calls the remote mobile phone, the directory server may use the caller's phone number to identify directory information and one or more social-network or similar accounts that are used as sources of contextual information about the caller.

In some embodiments, an incoming phone call may be received and a phone number of the incoming phone call may be identified. Once measurement reporting by one or more user terminals is configured, the base station will receive measurement reports from the capable user terminals. If a capable user terminal detects a PCID conflict, the user terminal will include an indication of the PCID conflict in the measurement report. When the base station receives a measurement report with an indication of a PCID conflict, the base station implements an autonomous PCID conflict resolution to resolve the PCID conflict.

Abstract: Systems and methods for scalable triggering of machine type communication (MTC) devices are disclosed. One method comprises receiving for a selected period of time, at an MTC inter working function (IWF) module, a plurality of device trigger messages that are sent from a plurality of MTC servers. The plurality of device trigger messages are aggregated at the MTC IWF. A mobility management entity (MME) or Serving General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) Support Node (SGSN) for each device trigger message is identified. The aggregated device trigger messages are then sent to the identified MME or SGSN associated with each device trigger message to enable the identified MME SGSN to send the device trigger messages to a radio access network for transmission to the MTC devices.

Abstract: A method and system for collecting and verifying the location information of a calling party and a device of the calling party is provided. More specifically, a method and system is provided for determining whether the identity of the calling party can be confirmed, via evaluating location information, with an acceptable degree of certainty. The location information may be provided by the calling party or obtained from various sources over a digital communication channel. Some of the provided location information which can be accidentally or intentionally altered is identified and evaluated to determine its accuracy as part of the verification process of the caller's identity.
