  • Patent number: 10798660
Abstract: Device-to-device (D2D) transmissions by a wireless device may interfere with base station reception of other signals. To mitigate this interference, the wireless device estimates the path loss between itself and the base station. The path loss and the current D2D transmission power level are used to estimate the amount of interference the base station is experiencing as a result of the D2D transmissions from the wireless device. Based on the estimated interference experienced by the base station, the wireless device increases the robustness of the MCS being used and decreases the transmission power level by a corresponding amount. By decreasing the D2D transmission power level, less interference will be experienced by the base station. By increasing the robustness of the MCS, the impact of the reduced D2D transmission power level is mitigated.

The wireless communication system proposed therein suggests a method for performing multiplex transmission when base stations within a network are synchronized. Particularly, a terminal receives, from a first base station, control information for the transmission of an M number of transmission blocks. The control information includes information for allocating multiplex transmission resources available for the first base station and a second base station during a predetermined subframe. The terminal receives the M number of transmission blocks from the first base station and the second base station via the multiplex transmission resources. Here, the M number of transmission blocks receives from the first base station and the M number of transmission blocks received from the second base station are decoded by using the same reference signal.

Abstract: A method is presented for disconnecting a wireless time-division duplex communication link between two nodes. A first node transmits during time slots allocated to the first node and the second node transmits during separate time slots allocated to the second node. The first node transmits at differing respective frequency bands during its time slots. The method includes: sub-dividing a time slot allocated to the first node into consecutive time intervals; and transmitting respective disconnect signals during the time intervals. Each of the disconnect signals is transmitted on a frequency band used by the first node. The disconnect signals are transmitted on different frequency bands during at least two of the time intervals.

  • Patent number: 10716146
Abstract: A universal Channel Reservation Signal (CRS) is transmitted by a wireless network node on a frequency channel upon successful Clear Channel Assessment (CCA). The channel reservation signal includes a preamble that has a predetermined pattern, a message having a same short period waveform as the preamble, and a synchronization field (SYNC) disposed between the preamble and the message. The message is encoded to prevent any and all occurrences therein of at least one of the predetermined pattern or a combination of the predetermined pattern and at least part of the SYNC. The universal CRS can be transmitted and successfully received and processed by both NR-SS devices and devices of at least one other wireless communication protocol having a different numerology, such as WiFi. Thus, information can be shared and used to avoid transmitting or to reduce or avoid collisions and interference between devices of different RATs.
