  • Patent number: 11931651
Abstract: A graphical user interface for electronic games is disclosed. The interface comprises a current weapon panel configured to display a first weapon in an active state, and a plurality of spare weapon panels configured to display weapons in the inactive state. The plurality of spare weapon panels is arranged in accordance with the panel ranking values assigned to each spare weapon panel. The selection of any one of the spare weapon panels results in a corresponding weapon in the inactive state, which is displayed on the selected spare weapon panel, being switched to the active state and promoted to the current weapon panel, and the first weapon being switched to the inactive state and relegated to a spare weapon panel. The weapons in the inactive state are dynamically ordered and displayed on the plurality of spare weapon panels according to the panel ranking value of the spare weapon panels and the predicted weapon ranking value.

Abstract: An indirect interaction input device, such as but not limited to a touch sensor, can provide multiple points of input. These multiple points are in turn mapped to multiple positions on an output device such as a display. The multiple points of input, however, make the application of pointer ballistics and resolution differences between the input sensor and target display more difficult to manage. Thus, a characteristic of the set of points is identified and used to adjust the mapping of each of the points. For example, one way to solve this problem is to identify the input point with the least displacement from a prior frame, whether from its prior point or from a reference point. This displacement is used to adjust the mapping of the set of input points from the input device to their corresponding display coordinates.

This system is useful with an avatar having an identifier, virtual environments, and a user who uses the avatar in the virtual environments. An offer is conveyed that includes the transom identifier, the location and the avatar identifier. The avatar is then authenticated by a shared secret. The identity provider then responds to the offer with avatar identification information, including reputation information. Reputation information is for the avatar and the user, and is compiled from external avatar data sources by using a trust matrix. An avatar gallery is generated by linking each avatar owned by each user to the account and compiling avatar profiles from the account, and the reputation information. Next, a destination point of the NPC role can be calculated by rotating the NPC role by C from a current point and around the user role. When there is a static obstruction at the destination point, the destination point can be re-calculated by adding a specified angle to the current C. When there is no static obstruction, the NPC role can be moved to the destination point.
