Abstract: A sofa sheet set for use with a sofa is disclosed. The sofa sheet set includes a bottom sheet that comprises a generally rectangular top portion and a peripheral side section, the side section having at a lower end thereof an embedded elastic band for capturing a plurality of sofa cushions. The sofa sheet set further includes a generally rectangular top sheet fixed at one of its long sides at a seam to one of the long sides of the bottom sheet. The top sheet is larger in length and width than the top portion of the bottom sheet. A handbag carrier is preferably included for containing and storing the bottom and top sheets in a folded configuration for convenient storage and transportation.

Abstract: A small and irregular shaped mattress sheet cover system for covering a bunk mattress. The system includes a flexible tubular cover that includes a body slightly smaller in width than a small or irregular shaped bunk mattress and with a closed end and an open end. The body fits longitudinally and snuggly around the bunk mattress. In one embodiment, the bunk mattress is triangular and fits inside pointed berth area on a boat. The cover may include optional end flap and optional pull straps. The method includes the steps of rolling the body into a flat ring configuration, aligning the ring with the end of the mattress, and then longitudinally pull and unrolling the ring over the mattress. The mattress may be folded or compressed inward. The pull straps are used to pull the body over the mattress. The mattress is then allowed to expand and conform to the body.

Abstract: A fitted bed sheet hugs, clings to, and otherwise remains securely in place on a mattress without elastic or other stretchable materials sewn into the edges of the sheet. The fitted sheet is elastic-free and cut substantially to the exact size of the top of the mattress and substantially to the exact radius of the corners of the mattresses. Such a sheet leaves almost no room for the sheet to move either around or off the mattress. The fitted sheet may be provided with an additional non-slip and non-stick material on the interior or back side of the skirt for gripping the mattress. Alternatively, the fitted sheet may be provided with rubberized dots on the interior or back side of the skirt for gripping the mattress. The fitted sheet may also be provided with one or more rigid corner pieces to help prevent the sheet from sliding around the mattress.

Abstract: A fitted bed sheet capable of fitting mattresses of multiple lengths is disclosed. The fitted bed sheet has a first section constructed primarily of non-stretch material and a second section sewn to the foot of the first section that is constructed primarily of non-elastic stretch material. The second section stretches to accommodate mattresses of longer lengths thereby eliminating the need to maintain multiple fitted bed sheets. The present invention increases user comfort, can be processed in commercial laundries, reduces the labor of making the bed, is easier to fold, and has a longer useful life than fitted sheets constructed with elastic stretch material. The fitted bed sheet can be washed, ironed, and folded automatically. The present invention may be used in institutional or private settings.

Abstract: A bed covering is provided. The bed covering forms an aperture between a first and second piece, the aperture allowing the escape of an extremity such as a foot or leg of a user. A method of making the bed covering is provided. A do it yourself kit is provided for forming the bed covering.

The means for orienting the bedding article on a mattress may be hidden from view when the bedding article is installed on a mattress. The means for orienting the bedding article on a mattress may be one or more of color contrasting sections, indicia, labels, or stitching. The bedding article has two sides, a top end, a bottom, an opening for seating around the bed, an edge around the opening, and four corners, with two corners being at the top end and two corners being at the bottom end. An article for use as a cover for an underlying item is also disclosed, with the article including a cover article and means for orienting the cover article on an underlying item.

In one embodiment, a semi-fitted bedsheet comprises a seamless fitted portion, a non-fitted portion, and a securing means incorporated along an edge of the fitted portion. Abstract: A bed sheet includes a bottom fabric layer sized to extend over the sides of and underneath a mattress. A top fabric layer is generally co-extensive with, and fastened to, the bottom fabric layer and defines a pocket therebetween. A sleeping garment integrated into the top fabric layer has a pair of garment halves removably coupleable to each other via a zipper that zips up into a fastener pocket that covers the zipper when the garment is fully closed. A flap can extend from one half of the garment, over the fastener pocket and fasten to the opposite half of the garment to inhibit the user from unzipping and removing the garment. The garment can hold a lower portion of the user within said pocket, allowing the user to remain warm without the use of a separate blanket, while being able to sit or stand on the mattress.

Abstract: The invention is a bedding apparatus, to be used with a conventional mattress. The bedding's bottom layer is fitted, so as to fit snugly around a mattress. The bottom layer is connected to the top layer by an attachment device, preferably two zippers. The top layer extends over three edges of the bottom layer, so as to appear aesthetically pleasing and provide comfort to the user. The zippers allow a user to easily and quickly make up the bed after sleeping in the bedding. It also functions to keep the top layer from falling off of the bed while sleeping and facilitates the user in weekly changing of the bed.

Abstract: This invention relates to flat bedding top sheets having releasable corner fasteners adapted to releasably secure sheet to an underlying mattress by having male elements placed on one side panel brought into alignment and contact with female elements located on opposite corresponding side panels to form corners. Specifically, the bed sheet of the present invention is a fitted flat sheet having a cutout portions at both of its bottom corners that permit, with the aid of separable fasteners located at the cutout portions, to convert the sheet from a planar configuration to a configuration comprising two pockets adapted to retain the sheet on the mattress. The top sheets of the present invention do not require elastic strips around the corners of the sheets to secure the sheet to the mattress.

Abstract: The formation of wrinkles in bed sheets used on mattresses of the type having elevated side bolsters and the tendency of the sheets to come off when the mattress is articulated are reduced through the use of a fitted sheet having conforming pockets receiving the side bolsters. Stabilization of the upper sheet surface by the pockets is augmented in some embodiments through use of a stitch line placed along a seam on the inside of the pockets and/or by un-pocketed spans of the upper surface of the sheet connecting directly to an elastically retained skirt.

Abstract: The safety sheet of the present invention may include a bed sheet with sleeves along one or more sides. The sleeves may be continuous or slotted and may accommodate inserts constructed of a material soft enough to avoid injury yet sturdy enough to provide an effective barrier to lateral motion of a bed's occupant. The safety sheet may include solid or hollow inserts. Portability of the safety sheet may be maximized by the use of inflatable/deflatable inserts. Inserts may vary in size and shape, and the sleeves may vary in size to accommodate a range of insert sizes. Alternatively, the sleeves may be stuffed with soft materials such as socks or other clothing when inserts are unavailable. The safety sheet may be reversed with inserts in place for aesthetic and comfort purposes or without inserts to hide the sleeves when inserts are no longer needed.

Abstract: An easily laundered one piece sofa protector and bedding substitute for couches and sofas having a fitted sheet type element conjoined to a flat sheet in such a way to stay in place while the sofa occupant sleeps. Additionally, a sewn in pouch for the temporary retention of a typical throw pillow is provided so that the throw pillow may be used as a sleeping pillow without soiling the surface of the throw pillow.

The mattress wrap set includes a wrap sheet to cover the sides of a mattress and having a top edge that is inelastic. The top edge includes four right-angled corners and is adapted to cover a periphery of the top of the mattress. The mattress wrap set further includes a top sheet to cover at least most of the top of the mattress, and a plurality of fasteners, with one fastener located at each right-angled corner to removably connect the top sheet to the wrap sheet.

Abstract: A fitted mattress covering for a mattress includes lower edge portions, which may be inverted J-shaped portions, mirror-image inverted J-shaped portions, portions that terminate at an end, or inverted U-shaped portions. The covering side and end portion lower edges may join one another to form a continuous lower edge of the covering. For the J-shaped portion, an elastic binding may be disposed under a downwards folded portion. The elastic binding may extend at least partially along the length of the lower edge of the covering. An elastic band may be disposed at each corner of the covering and extend diagonally across the associated corner and have opposite ends secured adjacent one of the side portions and adjacent one of the adjacent end portions, respectively. The bands may be secured in place by stitching and/or by supplementary securing means to ensure that the bands do not pull away from the covering.

Side margins flank the central area, and folded under said central area and joined thereto by seams extending across each end of the central rectangular area. The comforter panel can include connectors adapted for removable attachment with at least some of the connectors on the fitted sheet. The connectors can be any suitable structure, such as snaps.

Abstract: A resting method and apparatus for a young child. The young child can be either a newborn, infant, or toddler. The resting apparatus will attach to a cushion such as a mattress, or other back supporting device which is generally associated with a crib or other child's sleeping environmental structure. The resting apparatus has a base sheet or cover which attaches to the cushion. On top of the base cover is attached a pouch section. The pouch section is sized to allow the child to fit comfortably within the interior of the pouch from the child's neck to the child's feet. The pouch fits securely against the outer surface area of the child. The child is laid on its back within the pouch. The arms and legs are held in longitudinal alignment within the pouch. The pouch is designed to restrain the child from overturning from its back position to a front facing position.
