Abstract: A pillow can include a head support surface configured to support at least a portion of a person's head, a first support having a first support surface with a first apex disposed at a first height a second support having a second support surface with a second apex disposed at a second height, and a third support having a third support surface with a third apex disposed at a third height. The support surfaces can support at least a portion of a person's neck when at least a portion of their head is in contact with the head support surface. One or more of the heights can differ from one or more other heights. A pillow can include one or more openings and one or more inserts configured to be disposed therein.

Abstract: The present application discloses a pillow, the pillow includes a pillow body; a first raised portion disposed on a first side of the pillow body and having a first raised height so as to support a neck of a human body in a supine position; and a second raised portion disposed on a side of the pillow body and having a second raised height so as to support the neck of the human body in a lateral position; wherein the first height is less than the second height. In the present application, the first side of the pillow body is provided with raised portions with different positions, which can meet the different requirements of heights of the pillow of human body in different sleeping positions, the structure is simple, and is helpful for human head to relax and improve sleep quality.

Abstract: A pillow may include a pillowcase having a first end, a second end opposing the first end, and first and second opposing sides extending between the first end and the second end. The pillowcase also may include first and second end chambers respectively adjacent the first and second ends, a medial chamber between the first and second end chambers, and baffles extending between the first and second opposing sides and defining the first and second end chambers and the medial chamber. The pillow also may include a pillow insert within one of the first and second end chambers, and the medial chamber.

Abstract: A pillow is described. The pillow includes an elongate outer fabric cover at least partially forming a closed elongate tube with the outer cover. The pillow also includes at least one aperture in the closed elongate tube, the at least one aperture having a selective closure associated therewith. Further, the pillow includes at least one baffle formed within the elongate tube. The at least one baffle is formed of fabric and is coupled to the outer cover at at least three points around the interior of the elongate tube. Further still, the pillow includes a filling material disposed within the elongate tube, the filing material comprises individual pieces of filling material. The filling material is configured with a size that it may bypass the baffle, but not generally freely. The elongate outer fabric and the filling material are configured to be bendable to any of a variety of shapes.

Abstract: An adjustable pillow (1), which includes a casing (2) and a closable opening (12) to access the interior of the casing (2) where a plurality of small pillows (17) are contained. The small pillows (17) have filling (26) that provides support to the pillow (1) that is adjustable. The adjustment process involves a single variable of adjusting the quantity of small pillows (17) contained within the pillow (1) interior. This process allows incremental and simultaneous adjustments to the firmness, density, height and size of the pillow (1). Small pillows (17) are unique in shape, filling density and materials that allows them to self-adjust within the pillow (1) interior, creating a unified group of level filling (26) for the pillow. Small pillows (17) provide pleasing increments of adjustment that accommodates a wide range of sleeping positions and comfort preferences.

Abstract: A foam core mattress including a cushion layer having a foam with an IFD of between about 6 to about 18 and a density of between about 1.5 lb./ft3 to about 4 lb./ft3. The mattress includes a core that is coupled with a bottom surface of the cushion layer. The core includes a matrix of rebond foam pieces that includes at least 5% foam pieces having volumes of less than about 0.5 in3, at least 40% foam pieces having volumes of between about 0.5 and 2.0 in3, and at least 20% foam pieces having volumes of greater than 2.0 in3, wherein the core has an IFD of between about 21 and 36. The mattress includes a base layer coupled with a bottom surface of the core. The base layer has an IFD of between about 28 to about 70 and a density of between 1.5 lb./ft3 to about 2 lb./ft3.

Abstract: Aspects herein relate to a wedge shaped lateral support cushion that facilitates a side resting position for a user. The wedge shaped lateral support cushion in accordance with aspects herein is a unitary structure that is configured to support the head and the upper torso area of the user. In order to provide a proper alignment of the user's body in the side resting position, the wedge shaped lateral support cushion comprises a nook that is configured to receive the shoulder of the user so that the user has full range of motion of the arm that corresponds to the shoulder that is in accommodated in the nook. As such, the user can remain in the side resting position for prolonged periods of time, and can perform activities such as side sleeping, cuddling with a partner, lounging, and the like.

Abstract: Presented herein are various methods for using head positioning pillows to optimize respiratory titration. More specifically, the method includes a first step of determining an optimal relative angle between the patient's mouth and throat at which the patient's airway is optimally opened. The method also includes a second step of adjusting a head positioning pillow relative to the patient's head and neck to modify and transform the configuration of the pillow to achieve a pillow position that achieves the optimal relative angle.

Abstract: A method of pillow customization includes analyzing shapes associated with people through the use of sensors to create analytical data; receiving photos from a subject user through a first computing device and a server; determining a firmness of a mattress of the subject user based on the photos; determining body measurements of the subject based on the photos through one or more algorithms and a second computing device; providing the subject user with a pillow diagram, the pillow diagram having one or more zones, each of the one or more zones being customizable in firmness; receiving one or more subject user inputted selections through the first computing device; and designing a pillow based on the firmness of the mattress, the body measurements, and the one or more subject user inputted characteristics, the pillow being customized to the subject user.

Abstract: A massage apparatus device with circular plates, which is compact enough to fit into a laptop bag yet versatile enough to engage the five elements of fitness training. It is an improvement over prior art that focuses on only one or two fitness elements. A top and bottom circular plate each having a tapered circular hole in the center of each plate and holes located around the circumference of each plate; and a flexible covering with rods wherein the rods removably engage the circular holes of each circular plate when folded in a cylindrical shape for massage. It is designed to easily disassemble and re-assemble. The top and bottom circular plates also function as double-sided discs used to perform exercises such as gliding. Further, the top and bottom circular plates when placed on a first and second ball are used to stand on to improve one's stability and coordination.

Abstract: A chin rest includes a body having opposing sides, a front, a back, a top having a top surface, and a bottom having a bottom surface. The top further defines a top plane between a front and back of the top, and the bottom defines a bottom plane between a front of the bottom and a back of the bottom. The top plane and bottom plane form an angle so that the chin rest can comfortable sit between a user's chin and the user's chest, with the user's chin resting on the top surface, and the bottom surface engaged against the user's upper chest. The user's head can be comfortably supported while the user is seated, allowing the user to relax muscles in the neck and avoid strain and other issues normally associated with resting without support in a seated position.

Abstract: An inflatable seat cushion apparatus for comfort and pain prevention includes a cushion bladder having a bladder front side, a bladder back side, a bladder top side, a bladder bottom side, a bladder left side, and a bladder right side defining a bladder inside. A pump is coupled to the cushion bladder. The pump is coupled to the bladder left side within the bladder inside and has an intake vent and a power switch extending through the bladder left side. The power switch activates the pump to inflate the bladder inside. A release valve is coupled to the cushion bladder and extends through the bladder left side to selectively deflate the bladder inside. A pair of foam wings is coupled to the cushion bladder. The pair of foam wings is coupled to the bladder top side adjacent the bladder left side and the bladder right side.

Abstract: A spooning pillow system and a method of using the same is provided. The spooning pillow system and method embodies a spooning pillow having an arm cavity adapted for a rearward individual in a spooning configuration may comfortably position their underlying arm therein. The spooning pillow system may also include a spooning pillowcase with connector flaps interconnecting the spooning pillowcase with auxiliary pillowcases encasing convention pillows so that the encased conventional pillows are movably attached to the spooning pillowcase. Thereby the encased convention pillows may be moved between an uncovered condition and a covered condition covering the arm cavity so that the spooning individuals can rest their heads on the conventional pillows.

Abstract: A support cushion has a wedge-shaped body for supporting a woman's abdomen and an elongate pillow body receivable between the woman's legs for supporting the woman's knees, pelvic joints, and lower back while she is lying on her side. A fabric covering defining first and second compartments, respectively shaped and sized for receiving the wedge-shape body and elongate pillow body therein, and configured relative to one another thereby to orientate one end of the elongate pillow body end-to-end with one of the side ends of the wedge-shaped body such that the elongate pillow body extends laterally outwardly from the wedge-shaped body. The lower surface of the wedge-shaped body and the lower surface of the elongate pillow body are substantially co-planar, with the rear surface of the wedge-shaped body being the rearmost surface of the support cushion.

Abstract: A pillow is provided herein which includes a cover having opposing first and second panels. A gusset perimetrically bounds, and joins, the first and second panels. The gusset is formed of an open cell construction. Compliant fill material is disposed within the cover. Advantageously, with the subject invention, a pillow is provided allowing for lateral ventilation between opposing panels. This permits a cooling effect while a user is resting or sleeping.

Abstract: Neck treatment devices for treating the neck of a person is disclosed herein. The treatment devices have front to back treatment elements with multiple extending ridges located in spaced apart side by side relationship extending substantially in parallel from, at or towards the front edge of treatment element to the back edge of treatment element with a relatively gentle sloping curve in their front portion and a more pronounced curve in their back portion. A method of using the neck treatment device is also disclosed.

Abstract: A universal pillow for seating on a base surface includes a top surface having a negative parabolic shape or a convex shape relative to the base surface and a bottom surface having a concave shape relative to the base surface. The pillow includes up to five zones I-V, with a center zone I being designed for side sleepers, the two adjacent zones II, III being designed for back sleepers, and the two adjacent, outer zones IV, V being designed for stomach sleepers. The pillow may have different sections and parts in order to vary the feel of the pillow.

Abstract: Certain embodiments herein relate to a neck pillow comprising a lower tier and an upper tier. In various embodiments, the lower tier is configured for a user to lay on when sleeping on his or her back, and the upper tier is configured for the user to lay on when sleeping on his or her side. The lower tier and the upper tier may be connected via a middle section. The bottom of the lower tier and the upper tier may comprise a flat bottom that is disposed flat against the surface a user is sleeping on.

Abstract: A pillow cover is provided that includes a first panel and a second panel perimetrically joined with the first panel such that inner surfaces of the first and second panels define a cavity having a void volume. The first and second panels are each made from a first material. An opening extends through the inner surface of the first panel and an outer surface of the first panel. The pillow cover includes a patch covering the opening. The patch is made from a second material that is different than the first material.

The pillow shell can comprise various features, including fabric types, attachments, appliqués and stitching, configured to represent an object or character. The recessed center portion and the raised peripheral portion are configured such that the infant is comfortably and stably supported at an incline.

Abstract: Multi-layered pillowcases and methods of making and using the same are discussed herein. The multi-layered pillowcase generally includes an outer pillowcase and an inner pillowcase, wherein the inner pillowcase is smaller in total size than the outer pillowcase so as to allow the inner pillowcase to float inside the outer pillowcase and wherein the inner pillowcase is secured to the outer pillowcase.

The method includes, after the filling steps, juxtaposing the inner surface of the first pillow half with the inner surface of the second pillow half and joining the first and second pillow halves together to form a pillow.

The foam seating article can take the form of a chair, stool, sofa, chaise lounge, bench or Ottoman. The hollow shell can be formed using blow molding, injection molding or by capping both ends of a tube with disks. Air pressure inside the airtight hollow shell prevents the shell from collapsing inwards under the weight of an occupant. Alternatively, the hollow shell of the seating article can be accessed through a removable lid. The seating article includes no wood or metal. The layer of molded foam includes sections of different foam types, such as high density (HD) foam, memory foam and latex foam. Molding foam around a hard plastic shell is simpler and less costly than making conventional metal or wood framed furniture.

Abstract: The present invention is an apparatus for employing aromatherapy and binaural sounds for inducing a state of relaxation in a user who may be anxious, upset, or experiencing sleeping difficulties. The apparatus comprises a shape memory foam pillow, a pair of stereo speakers, an aromatherapy diffuser, a pillowcase comprised of heat-transfer fabric, an optional vibrating device, a canopy and a housing to support these elements. The user connects a smartphone or digital audio device to the speakers, activates the aromatherapy diffuser and the vibrating device, and lays his or her head down on the pillow beneath the canopy. Ideally, the smartphone or music device should have a meditation or binaural sound application, which would be tuned to a specific beat frequency, such as 10 Hertz. The combined action of essential oil vapors and binaural sounds should enable the user to relax or sleep more soundly.

It does not have a dedicated air valve. It is sealed from the top section. No air flows between it and the top section. A bottom section has an articulated portion that protrudes out to provide support for a user's lumbar section of the back. It is connected to the middle section and has one or more passage ways for air to flow between the two sections. The bottom section has an air valve that allows a user to inflate it and in doing so also inflate the middle section.

Abstract: The present invention provides devices for neck support and correction, for example, pillows, headrests, or cushions, designed to be placed under the head and neck of a person lying in a supine or side-lying position. Such devices are useful for maintaining or improving cervical and/or thoracic spinal curvature and/or alignment and for reducing pain associated with ailments of the neck or cervical vertebrae. Also provided are methods of improving cervical spinal alignment and for treating or ameliorating ailments of the neck or cervical vertebrae.

Abstract: An orthopedic pillow comprises a padded member which has a hard block fully inserted inside. The padded member is made of resilient materials. The padded member's shape is roughly similar to that of a rectangular or hexagonal block; however, if looked right from its right or left side, the padded member has a symmetric or asymmetric bell shape. The length of the long side of the padded member is roughly equal to an adult's body's width. The hard block is made of non-resilient material. The hard block is able to tolerate, without rupturing and/or deformation, the gravity force on a mass of about 140 kg with a shape and size similar to those of a person's body. The shape of the hard block and of the padded member are similar, and their dimensions are proportional. The length of the long side of the hard block is also roughly equal to an adult's body's width. Both the padded member and the hard block have a flat bottom side.

Abstract: A support pillow with dual infant support pillows that can be configured in a face-to-face or opposing position and, alternately, in a side-by-side flanking position. Two C-shaped pillow segments are joined on one side by a hinge or joint. When the joint is open, the adjoining arms are generally co-linear. When the support pillow is folded at the joint, the two adjoining arms of the C-shaped pillow segments are adjacent and generally parallel. A supportive body wrap may be included for one or both pillow segments. The support pillow may also serve as a body or maternity pillow for a single adult. Additionally, the joint allows the pillow to be folded for use as a study or lounging pillow for an adult or older child. Still further, the pillow can be used as a nursing pillow with attached back support for mothers and caregivers.

Abstract: Mediation sitting cushions and mats allow the user to meditate in comfort for great lengths of time, avoiding stress and pain often caused by traditional meditation cushions and mats. The layered mediation sitting cushions and mats combine a slow recovery visco-elastic foam (“VEF”), having load deformation properties and densities, with one or more base layers of a batting support. The sitting cushions and mats enable a person seated in traditional meditative positions to achieve a comfortable posture, regardless of the meditator's size or weight. The sitting cushions and mats also allow people to meditate in traditional cross-legged or kneeling postures comfortably, without irritation or pain. The mediation sitting cushions and mats also maintain of the pelvis in a neutral or slightly anterior position, resulting in proper alignment of the pelvis and spine, which minimizes the muscular and ligamentous strain caused by sitting in stillness for long periods of time.
