Abstract: A personal rest system includes a headrest shaped and sized to accept a frontal portion of a user's head. The headrest defines a central opening and substantially surrounds the user's face. The headrest includes at least one padded portion against which the user's head can be rested. A mechanically adjustable support frame is coupled to the headrest at an upper end of the adjustable support frame. The support frame is also coupled to a pivoting member at a lower end of said adjustable support frame. A base section is coupled to the pivoting member. The base section includes an attachment portion shaped and configured to mechanically mount the base section to a surface on which said rest system is placed.

Abstract: A bi-elevation pillow system for allowing two users to lie side by side with each of their heads respectively positioned at a different elevation by using the pillow system has a base pillow member with a general shape of a rectangular prism. The base pillow member has a cavity with a cushion component located inside. The system has a secondary pillow member with a general shape of a rectangular prism with a cavity having a cushion component located inside. In a first position for storage, the base pillow bottom surface is rotated against and interfaces with a secondary pillow bottom surface. In a second position for use, the secondary pillow is rotated about a hinge 180 degrees in an open configuration and placed on a ground surface for use.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a pillow, which aids a user to sleep soundly when the user is lying on the back, and makes breathing easier and helps stimulate the acupuncture points on the face when the user is lying on the stomach and rests the face on the pillow. To this end, the present invention comprises: a main body; a neck support part, which is formed in the longitudinal direction at the front side of the main body and has a height higher than the height of the main body; a ventilation hole, which penetrates the center of the neck support part into the center of the main body; an incline support part, which is provided on the main body in contact with the ventilation hole, and has a gradual decline towards the ventilation hole; and an acupuncture point stimulation part provided in a protruding manner on the ventilation hole side of the neck support part.

Abstract: A foam seating article includes an outer layer of molded foam surrounding a solid inner core of molded foam or expanded polystyrene. The rigid foam of the inner core is made from polyurethane polyol and methylene diphenyl diisocyanate (MDI). The inner core has a hardness greater than 25 Shore A and a density less than two pounds per cubic foot. The polymer material of the solid core has a hardness that is greater than that of the outer foam. The outer layer of molded foam is high density (HD) foam, memory foam or latex foam. A fabric covering encloses the inner core and molded outer foam layer. The foam seating article can be a chair, stool, sofa, chaise lounge, bench or Ottoman. The seating article includes no wood or metal. Molding foam around a solid inner core is simpler and less costly than making conventional metal or wood framed furniture.

The pillow's top surface extends along both a longitudinal direction and a lateral direction that are mutually perpendicular, follows a top undulating pattern in the longitudinal direction, and is uniform in the lateral direction. The pillow's bottom surface is opposite the top surface, follows a bottom undulating pattern in the longitudinal direction, and is uniform in the lateral direction. The pillow's front surface and a rear surface extend from the top surface to the bottom surface, and are uniform in the lateral direction. The pillow has two laterally-opposite parallel planar side surfaces that extend from the top surface to the bottom surface and extend from the front surface to the rear surface.

The pillow has a head zone that provides cushioning for a user's head and two wings that are configured to extend away from the head zone such that the pillow is substantially U-shaped in the plane of the pillow, when deflated. A channel extends between the sheets of flexible material to connect the wings. The channel is positioned at a point in the head zone furthermost from the wing ends. The width of the channel increases from the center line such that when the pillow is inflated, the pillow has a substantially V-shaped profile that is formed about the centerline and centered on the channel.

Abstract: An apparatus for electrical stimulation therapy comprising a garment and a plurality of electrode pads associated with the garment, wherein the electrode pads are positionable at selectable locations relative to the garment, such that to correspond to a person's body shape and areas that need electrical stimulation therapy, and wherein contact between the plurality of electrode pads and the person's body is achieved by the person resting on top of the plurality of electrode pads and garment, such that the person's weight assists in creating the contact between the plurality of electrode pads and the person's body.

Abstract: An integrated padded mesh material may be used in pillows or pillowcases for improved air flow around a user of the pillow or pillowcase during rest. When used in a pillow, the material may substantially cover the side of the pillow that a user's head rests upon. Other materials, such as mesh and satin materials, may be used to complete construction of the pillow. The pillow may take on familiar shapes, such as a dog. When the integrated padded mesh material is used in a pillowcase the pillowcase may be wrapped around a conventional pillow to increase air flow during rest. The pillowcase may include several layers such as the integrated padded mesh material and an allergy-blocking fabric.

Abstract: Systems and methods for providing support to the head and/or neck, wherein the support may provide tension and desired orientation of the head and/or neck. In one embodiment, a cushioned saddle-shaped neck support is positioned at an upper end of a moveable support structure. A lower part of the saddle-shaped neck support is movably connected to an upper part of the support structure. A lower part of the support structure is movably supported by a surface on which a person's body can be positioned. The person's body is positioned on this surface with his neck over the neck support. As the person's neck comes into contact with the neck support, the weight of the person's head and/or neck pushes down on the neck support, which moves down and away from the person's shoulders to provide the desired tension and orientation.

A conduit traverses the interior volume between the two opposing sides and is adapted for receiving the person's arm therethrough. A cushy filler or foam material is disposed within the pillow body to substantially fill the internal volume thereof. A pillowcase includes a first open side through which the pillow body is inserted into a pillowcase interior space. A side of the pillowcase includes a pillowcase conduit extending away therefrom and that is aligned with the conduit of the pillow body when the pillow body is inserted into the pillowcase. An aperture traverses a side opposite the pillowcase conduit to which an end of the pillowcase conduit is fixed with a zipper or other fastener.

In one embodiment, the first surface defines a first aperture and a second aperture. The device not only reduces the pressure on the tailbone or on the hemorrhoids for a person in a seated position, but also reduces the discomfort or pain associated with settling into a seated position or emerging from a seated position.

Abstract: A reconfigurable support pillow comprising an elongate center section with a short, curved arm on each end. Between each of the arms and the center section is a substantially flat connecting section with inwardly curved side edges. This shape allows the pillow to be placed into several configurations. In a first configuration, the center section is bent and the connecting sections overlap each other without creating a thickened area at the point where the connecting sections cross. Additionally, the curved ends of the pillow arms can be overlapped providing an oval configuration with a double thickness at one side. Still further, the pillow can be used with the center section straight and curved arms turned inward towards each other. Each configuration provides different advantages and use. The pillow may comprise a washable cover with removable inserts.

Abstract: The portable head support device of the present invention provides comfortable support for a user's head while the user is in a sitting potion. The pillow or cushion has a v-shape on the top where a user's chin can rest so that the head cannot fall forward or sideways but will stay in a comfortable and upright position. The pillow is held in place by hook and loop fasteners located on the pillow and, for instance, on straps extending from behind the user's back and over the shoulders or wraparound supports wrapped around standard seat belts. A user rests their neck on the most comfortable neck supporting ridge (taller one for heavier people, shorter one for lighter people), with the head positioned in the depression. Lateral movement and rolling of the head is prevented by two bracing supports, positioned on either side of the viscoelastic body. For comfort, a softer cover is positioned over the viscoelastic body and bracing supports, improving the cushioning and breathability of the supportive pillow. The bracing supports and cover are also viscoelastic, with them and the viscoelastic body commonly being made from viscoelastic polyurethane, e.g. memory foam. The benefits of the supporting pillow have applications in medical and other fields.

In this way, the head rest allows comfortable resting without loss of circulation in the arms.

Abstract: A pillow assembly that utilizes a hood to inhibit certain movements of the head. The pillow assembly utilizes a pillowcase having a top surface and a bottom surface. The pillowcase can be stuffed to become a pillow or can be used to cover a preexisting pillow. A hood structure is sewn onto the pillowcase. The hood structure is sewn onto the pillowcase along a single main seam. The sewing of the hood to the pillowcase along a single seam creates features in the hood structure that are beneficial to the comfortable restraint of the user's head. Furthermore, the hood structure has a forward opening, a hood apex, and a rear seam that extends from the apex down to the single main seam. The rear seam also helps to reinforce the hood structure so it can better prevent unintentional movements of the user's head.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a fabric arrangement and pillow designed to prevent skin lines and wrinkle formation while improving sleep using combinations of fabrics, cooling technologies and scents. The present invention is designed with a specific fabric and materials combination that create a surface in which the shear stresses causing skin lines and wrinkles are eliminated. Multiple layers make up the fabric arrangement include a top layer comprising a stretchable material and a second layer comprising a low friction material relative to the first layer. Supporting the first two layer is a support layer such as foam. Lower layers may comprise a cooling material, an antimicrobial or anti-allergenic material and a scent layer.

Abstract: A method of making foam imparts antimicrobial and antiodorant qualities to the foam. Green tea powder is added to the polyol raw materials for making memory foam. The green tea memory foam is used to make pillows, cushions and mattresses. Green tea foam in the top layer of a mattress acts as an antiodorant such that less of the chemical smell of the memory foam is perceived by the user. In addition, the bacteria and mold that would otherwise develop in the moist warmer sleeping environment on memory foam are killed by the green tea additive to the foam. Measurable antimicrobial and antiodorant qualities in the green tea foam are achievable by adding green tea powder constituting less than 2% of the weight of the resulting green tea foam. A neck-support contour pillow is made using memory foam that contains green tea and a green dye.

The sham features a flange located on a sham outer periphery and extending out and away from the sham. A second attachment means is located on a flange second surface. The system features a rigid display frame with a frame aperture centrally located in the display frame. A first attachment means is located on a frame first surface. A removable base is located on a frame bottom edge perpendicular to the display frame.
