Abstract: The present invention concerns polymers obtained by anionic initiation and bearing functions that can be activated by cationic initiations that are not reactive in the presence of anionic polymerization initiators. The presence of such cationic initiation functions allow an efficient cross-linking of the polymer after moulding, particularly in the form of a thin film. It is thus possible to obtain polymers with well-defined properties in terms of molecular weight and cross-linking density. The polymers of the present invention are capable of dissolving ionic compounds inducing a conductivity for the preparation of solid electrolytes.

Abstract: A precursor composition for a metal oxide, and a preparation method therefor. The precursor composition contains metal alkoxide and aromatic hydrocarbon. The precursor composition for a metal oxide exhibits excellent stability to heat and moisture in air, and is easily mixed with various organic solvents and binders, and easily formulated in paste form. Also, various metals are evenly mixed in the paste, so the precursor composition is very useful in forming a composite metal oxide film. In the case where the composite metal oxide film is used as a protective film for a plasma display device, the composite metal oxide film can easily generate secondary electrons even at a low discharging voltage. Thus, the driving voltage of the plasma display device can be lowered. In addition, the precursor composition for a metal oxide can be used as an inorganic binder or for preparing a catalyst.

500≧BT(250)/BT(120)≧1.5 (2),
where BT(120) is weight loss (%) on heating in nitrogen at 120° C. for 24 hours, and BT(250) is weight loss (%) on heating in nitrogen at 250° C. for 6 hours, rapidly discharges residual thermoplastic resin containing EVOH from molding equipment, and also rapidly discharges itself when a fresh resin is fed again to the equipment. Abstract: A method for rapidly manufacturing “green-state” ceramic matrix composite components, components made from this method, and a resin/catalyst precursor mixture used in the method. The method includes manufacturing a component by preparing the precursor mixture by mixing a requisite quantity of a polymer-derived ceramic precursor resin, a catalyst, a discontinuous reinforcing fiber and filler material, and then loading this precursor mixture in a preheated mold. The precursor mixture then is cured in the mold to form the component which is porous. Thereafter, the component is reinfilitrated with a resin to at least partially fill the pores of the component.
