Abstract: In some embodiments, an air filter coupling device may include an elongated member, an elongated first cap, and an elongated second cap. The elongated member may include a substantially planar first side, a substantially planar second side positioned substantially opposite the first side, and a fourth side positioned substantially opposite the third side. In some embodiments, the elongated first cap may be coupled to the third side in a substantially orthogonal orientation relative to the elongated member. In some embodiments, the elongated second cap may be coupled to the fourth side in a substantially orthogonal orientation relative to the elongated member. A second distance between the first cap and the second cap adjacent each first end portion of the first and second caps inhibits removal of the first air filter. The air filter coupling device inhibits conveyance of materials between the first air filter and the second air filter.

Abstract: A separator for a vacuum cleaner has a cover part from which webs are projecting which are positioned along the circumference of the cover part at a spacing one behind the other with formation of through openings. At least some of the webs are without connection with each other at the end that is facing away from the cover part. The webs are elastically yielding transversely to the longitudinal direction. The webs are positioned in their mounting position with radial pretension on a spider which is fixedly seated on the motor shaft of the vacuum cleaner. Due to centrifugal forces occurring in operation of the vacuum cleaner as a result of the high rotary speed of the motor shaft, the webs of the separator are positioned with their free ends under high force on the spider. The separator is thus reliably entrained by the spider by friction.

  • Publication number: 20140260993
Abstract: A multi-phase separation apparatus shapes fluid flow in a flow shaping line preferably shaped to have a plurality of loops with consecutively decreasing diameters. Shaping the two-phase flow drives the heavier, denser fluids to the outside wall of the flow shaping line and allows the lighter, less dense fluids such as gas to occupy the inner wall of the flow shaping line. With the gas positioned on the inner wall, an exit port on the inner wall permits a majority, if not all, of the gas, along with a minimal amount of liquid, to be diverted to a conventional gas-liquid separator at a flow rate much lower than the total flow rate within the flow shaping line. The remaining liquid flow in the flow shaping line is subsequently introduced into an adjustable phase splitter to separate different liquid components from one another.

The gas feed element permits rapid pressurization of a pressure vessel containing a stock of coal dust. Particular configurations of the filter material are provided by metallic filtration mesh with or without support mesh, sintered metal and sintered polymer, in each case having a filter fineness of from 5 ?m to 1000 ?m.

Abstract: Air cleaner assemblies and components therefor are described. An example first or main filter cartridge is described which includes a media pack comprising strips of fluted material secured to facing sheets, oriented in a stack. The media pack defines opposite inlet and outlet flow faces, with flutes extending in a direction therebetween. The media pack is non-removably secured within a filter cartridge housing, at a location between opposite sections of a shell, typically secured thereto with an adhesive. The shell also defines a closed end, spaced from, but in overlap with, the outlet end face of the media pack. The closed end is typically curved and the shell typically provides either a d/b-shape or a u-shape.

Abstract: An accessory cap for a respiratory cartridge includes a housing having a front wall and a side wall which cooperate to define an interior cavity. The side wall includes a retaining formation configured and arranged to releasably engage and hold the housing on the respiratory cartridge. The housing includes a downwardly facing air passage configured to allow air to pass from an exterior environment to the interior cavity. The accessory cap further includes a pre-filter support web removably received within the interior cavity and spaced inwardly from the front wall. The housing and the pre-filter support web form a pre-filter cavity within the interior cavity adjacent to the front wall. The accessory cap can function as a standalone shower cap, or a pre-filter media can be optionally inserted into the pre-filter cavity so that the accessory cap functions as a combination pre-filter and a shower cap.
