The device has an electronic device to charge a capacitor to a high voltage which creates a high current in a magnetic coil which produces an intense magnetic pulse applied to the patient's head for treatment of migraine headaches or to other patient body parts to treat other disorders. The TMS may be reprogrammed remotely over the Internet to add additional pulses or additional time that the patient may use the TMS, during which time the TMS would continue to function. The data in the TMS may be sent over the Internet to the patient's physician and/or to a monitor to send the data to the company that manufactured the TMS.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and device for the selective destruction of cells that with uncontrolled proliferation in an animal organism, with minimum damage to the surrounding tissue thereby and without needing to perform any kind of surgical operation on the patient: the method consists of the detection of the tumorous area (1) and the sequential and alternate application of at least two alternating magnetic fields with different directions to the treatment area or application until achieving the heating and destruction of the cells. The device used is, therefore, comprised of at least two electromagnets (11, 12) or at least two pairs of electromagnets (11-11?, 12-12?) all being located around the perimeter of a hypothetical circumference or sphere, with the electromagnets in opposing pairs where each opposing pair generates an electromagnetic field in one direction and orientation.

    Abstract: A targeted osmotic lysis (TOL) of tumor cells that over-express voltage-gated sodium channels (VGSCs) has been developed that uses a combined therapy of a drug that blocks sodium, potassium-adenosine triphosphatase (Na+, K+-ATPase) that is then followed by an activation of VGSCs, for example, by electrical or pharmacological stimulation. Activation of VGSCs conducts sodium into the cancer cells in much greater amounts than non-cancer cells. Water follows this sodium gradient into the cancer cells, causing swelling and lysis. Because non-cancerous cells do not over-express VGSCs, less sodium and less water will enter the cells, and the non-cancerous cells will not lyse. This method is applicable to all cells that over-express VGSCs, including, but not limited to, highly invasive breast cancer, prostate cancer, small cell lung cancer, non-small cell lung carcinoma, lymphoma, mesothelioma, neuroblastoma, and cervical cancer.
