Maintaining Cavity In Glass Patents (Class 65/59.2)
  • Patent number: 9546109
Abstract: The present application relates to a method for manufacturing a vacuum solar thermal panel which comprises at least a tempered glass plate and a metal frame attached to said plate, the method comprising a frit firing cycle to form a glass-metal seal, the frit firing cycle comprising a first heating phase of the tempered glass plate up to a maximum temperature (Tm), being the temperature which preserves a suitable pre-stress level of the tempered glass plate. Advantageously according to the invention, the method further comprises a second heating phase (via optical radiation illumination) being a selective heating phase of a melting area of the tempered glass plate performed at a second temperature (Th) which is above the maximum temperature (Tm).

  • Patent number: 7115012
Abstract: In a discharge tube manufacture line, electrode clamps are attached to both sides of an electrode lead except on a predetermined adhesion area to fix a glass bead. Then, a power section is driven to energize the area between the electrode clamps. The surface of the predetermined adhesion area is heated and oxidized. The glass bead is welded to the oxidized surface of the predetermined adhesion area.

  • Patent number: 6324870
Abstract: Metal collar device of the type used for integrating a glass part and a metal part of different coefficients of expansion. The collar is circular and comprises a first portion intended to be in contact with the metal part, a second portion intended to be in contact with the glass part and a bonding portion placed between said first and second portions. The second portion is not as thick as the first portion and as the bonding portion, so that it can adjust to the expansion of the glass part by exerting stresses on the latter below the limit of resistance of said glass part.
