  • Patent number: 10705108
Abstract: Sensing systems and methods for sensing a stationary individual. A sensing system may use a first sensor to determine whether a detected thermal signature is associated with a human presence within a space. When the detected thermal signature is not associated with a human presence, the sensing system may repeat the determining whether a detected thermal signature is associated with a human presence. When the detected thermal signature is associated with a human presence, the sensing system may determine whether motion has been detected using a second sensor. In some cases, the first sensor may be a thermal sensor that can detect a human whether the moving or not, and the second sensor may be a motion sensor that only detects motion.

  • Patent number: 10702247
Abstract: An automated workflow performed by software executing on at least one processor includes receiving a plurality of echocardiogram images taken by an ultrasound device. A filter separates the plurality of echocardiogram images by 2D images and Doppler modality images based on analyzing image metadata. The 2D images are classified by view type, and the Doppler modality images are classified by view type. The cardiac chambers are segmented in the 2D images, and the Doppler modality images are segmented to generate waveform traces, producing segmented 2D images and segmented Doppler modality images. Using both the sets of images, measurements of cardiac features for both left and right sides of the heart are calculated. The calculated measurements are compared with international cardiac guidelines to generate conclusions and a report is output showing the calculated measurements that fall both within and outside of the guidelines.

Abstract: A framework for isolating an aneurysm and parent vessel in volumetric image data is provided herein. In accordance with one aspect, the framework generates a refined mask by performing region growing starting at an aneurysm dome point to eliminate vessels that are indirectly connected to an aneurysm or parent vessel in volumetric image data. A final mask may be generated based at least in part on the refined mask by eliminating any kissing vessel connected with the aneurysm from the refined mask. The final mask may then be used for segmentation of the aneurysm and the parent vessel in the volumetric image data.

  • Patent number: 10463336
Abstract: A method and system for determining hemodynamic indices, such as fractional flow reserve (FFR), for a location of interest in a coronary artery of a patient is disclosed. Medical image data of a patient is received. Patient-specific coronary arterial tree geometry of the patient is extracted from the medical image data. Geometric features are extracted from the patient-specific coronary arterial tree geometry of the patient. A hemodynamic index, such as FFR, is computed for a location of interest in the patient-specific coronary arterial tree based on the extracted geometric features using a trained machine-learning based surrogate model. The machine-learning based surrogate model is trained based on geometric features extracted from synthetically generated coronary arterial tree geometries.
