The system comprises: a memory device with computer-readable program code stored thereon; a communication device connected to a network; and a processing device, wherein the processing device is configured to execute the computer-readable program code to: receive a document via a user device comprising an image capturing device configured to capture an image of the document; determine an error with the document; in response to determining the error with the document, trigger transmission of a signal to the image capture device; and modify a document image capture based on receiving the signal at the image capture device.

Abstract: A system and method for improving the security of financial transactions is disclosed. The system and method include an account management tool where customers (or account holders) can manage financial control settings, which include controls to set limits on the frequency of financial transactions and/or maximum transaction amounts. Based on these user-selected control settings, a financial account provider can deny transactions that exceed limits determined from the financial control settings. The system and method include a setting for geographic location, so that a user may build a customized list of geographic regions where transactions are allowed or prohibited. The system and method also include a setting for companies or merchants, so that a user may build a customized list of companies or merchants where transactions are allowed or prohibited.

Abstract: In particular embodiments, a method of transferring money by use of a payment proxy includes receiving a notification of an intent to initiate a monetary transaction in a message entered by a user of a communication platform, identified based on a determination of a particular context associated with content of the message. The method includes parsing the message to identify a unique payment proxy associated with a financial account having a syntax that includes a currency indicator and a string of characters. The method includes identifying a recipient financial account associated with the unique payment proxy. The method includes identifying a sender financial account based on the particular context associated with the content of the user message. The method includes initiating a transfer of a payment amount between the sender financial account and the recipient financial account associated with the unique payment proxy in accordance with the monetary transaction.

Abstract: Described herein is a system for automatically capturing images. A device may execute an application on the device. In response to receiving a request for capturing an image of a document, the application may control the operation of the camera to contemporaneously and continuously capture image frames of an area within the field of view of a camera of the device. The field of view may include an object and in turn may be included in the captured image frames. The application may determine whether the aspect ratio and real-world size of the object in the captured image frames corresponds with a specified threshold size and aspect ratio which corresponds with a given document type. In response to determining the object corresponds to the given document type, the camera may automatically extract an image of the object.

Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, methods, and computer program products are disclosed for controlling a function of an automated transaction machine (ATM). An example method includes receiving, by query language processing (QLP) circuitry, a query command signal. The example method further includes generating, by the QLP circuitry based on the query command signal, a control signal configured to instruct the ATM to perform the function by crawling a tree-structured menu of the ATM. Subsequently, the example method includes transmitting, by the QLP circuitry to the ATM, the control signal.

It is determined that the payment transaction should be processed according to a delayed clearing protocol. A clearing presentment file comprising at least one clearing presentment message is received. The payment transaction is processed according to a delayed clearing protocol by determining whether the network server has received a receipt message from the electronic device and, if not, returning an error message to the first financial intuition indicating that the clearing presentment message has been rejected.

The set of tuples maps a set of codes to a set of tokens. The set of tokens are stored in a column of unencoded database data. Abstract: Systems and techniques are provided for a resource transfer system. An instruction to transfer a first quantity of a resource from a first resource pool to a second resource pool may be received. A hold may be placed on a second quantity of the resource in the first resource pool. The held second quantity of the first resource may not be transferred from the first resource pool until the hold is released. Responsive to receiving a message that fulfills a condition on the hold and an instruction to execute the transfer, the hold may be released. A register that is in the first resource pool and is associated with the resource may decremented by the first quantity, and a register that is in the second resource pool and is associated with the resource may be incremented by the first quantity.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method and system that processes a plurality of transactions shared by a group of members. A mobile device comprises: a memory; and a computer processor, coupled to the memory, programmed to: identify a plurality of members of a group sharing an event; identify a plurality of transactions made by each member of the group; determine whether each transaction is relevant to the event; automatically add each relevant transaction to the group; automatically categorize each transaction into a category associated with the event; and access, via an interactive display on the mobile device, a running total of expenses associated with the event and an individual share for a member of the group at a point in time.

Then, based on that parameter (e.g., number or score), the identity assurance score server (with ties to the ID-less and password-less system, such as described hereinabove) sends a corresponding login protocol or factors to be satisfied to authenticate the user.

Abstract: Embodiments are provided for evaluating information within a master data management (MDM) system. According to certain aspects, a MDM computing device may receive a first transaction member record and a second transaction member record assigned with the same source identifier from the same data source and linked to a composite data entity. The MDM computing device may determine, in response to receiving the second transaction member record, an overlay score between the first transaction member record and the second transaction member record. The MDM computing device may generate a notification indicative of the overlay or create an overlay task for the second transaction member record based on the overlay score by (i) unlinking the second transaction member record from the composite data entity and (ii) storing the second transaction member record in a quarantine queue as a singleton record linked to a dummy composite data entity.

Responsive to receiving a message that fulfills a condition on the hold and an instruction to execute the transfer, the hold may be released. Abstract: Embodiments of the invention include systems, methods, and computer-program products for providing an internal digital encoding as an overlay of a data element on a resource distribution instrument for blank space correction. The invention identifies a type of resource distribution instrument with blank space or faded spaces and queue it for encoding. In this way, the encoding may be a layer for a user to view the data element to confirm the resource associated with the resource distribution instrument. The encoding may be embedded into the resource distribution instrument and removable upon external transmission.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for verifying a document. An embodiment operates by receiving an initial image of a document and identifying a first imperfection on a feature of the document. Thereafter, the feature of the initial image is segmented into a first and second partially overlapping segment corresponding to a first and second portion of the feature, respectively. Subsequently, the feature's first portion is determined to be free from the first imperfection, and the first imperfection is identified in the feature's second segment. After receiving a second image of the document including the feature's second portion, the feature's second portion in the second image is determined to be free from a second imperfection. As a result, an image of the feature is created based on the first and second portions of the feature derived from the initial and second images, respectively.

Abstract: Systems for controlling scanning devices and capturing image data are provided. In some examples, image data may be received by a computing platform. The image data may be received via a first network and from another computing platform in wired communication with a scanning device. In some arrangements, image quality analysis may be performed and data may be extracted from the image data. The results of the data analysis, as well as the image data and extracted data may be transmitted, via a second network different from the first network, to an associate computing device. In some examples, input received by the associate computing device may be transmitted to the computing platform indicating whether the image is approved or rejected for further processing. If the image is approved, the image data and extracted data may be transmitted, via the second network, to another device for matching and further processing functions.

The PBS authenticates a mobile device within range for cellular services, and authenticates the user for a level of service for cable television. The PBS operates in accordance with a dual-purpose subscriber identity system (SIS) includes a subscriber mobile identity component (SMIC) and a video security component (VSC) such that the cellular and television services can be authenticated. Mobile devices incorporating the disclosed innovations, as well as the PBS, can access video content from a cable television provider through any available broadband link, regardless of the mobile device's physical location.

Abstract: Described in detail herein are systems and methods for single instancing blocks of data in a data storage system. For example, the data storage system may include multiple computing devices (e.g., client computing devices) that store primary data. The data storage system may also include a secondary storage computing device, a single instance database, and one or more storage devices that store copies of the primary data (e.g., secondary copies, tertiary copies, etc.). The secondary storage computing device receives blocks of data from the computing devices and accesses the single instance database to determine whether the blocks of data are unique (meaning that no instances of the blocks of data are stored on the storage devices). If a block of data is unique, the single instance database stores it on a storage device. If not, the secondary storage computing device can avoid storing the block of data on the storage devices.

The verification token reads identification information from a user's portable consumer device (e.g., credit card) and sends the information to a validation entry over a communications network using the computer's networking facilities. The validation entity applies one or more validation tests to the information that it receives from the verification token. If a selected number of tests are passed, the validation entity sends a device verification value to the verification token, and optionally to a payment processing network. The verification token may enter the device verification value into a CVV field of a web page appearing on the computer's display, or may display the value to the user using the computer's display.

A payor computing device communicates over a computer network with payee computing devices via a P2P server. The P2P server is operative to receive a payment request from the payor computing device and process the payment by debiting a financial instrument specified by a payor utilizing the payor computing device. The payment request is transmitted from the P2P server to a cash payment server operative to receive the payment request and translate the request into the native format of an ATM control server, the native format of the P2P server and ATM control server not being interoperable. The ATM control server is operative to generate a PIN code, which is transmitted along with the received payment instructions to an ATM.

Abstract: Methods, systems and computer program products for activating a software product for use by a customer of a financial institution that accesses an on-line banking product on an on-line banking server. A request from the financial institution to activate the software product for use by the customer is received through an interface such as an extranet site of a host of the on-line banking product. An enablement request is transmitted from the interface to an activation server, and a script on the activation server is executed to modify a configuration element to automatically activate the software program for the customer. Thus, the financial institution, which does not host the on-line banking product, drives automatic activation of the software product without manual input by project managers or technical support persons of the on-line banking product host.

Abstract: A proof of provenance system receives database logs from an existing system that does not natively provide data provenance verification. The system produces a local representation of the database (or a portion thereof). The system periodically or in response to another triggering event flattens the local representation of the database to generate an aggregated slice, which is stored in an aggregated slice store. A reduced representation of the aggregated slice (e.g., a hash or checksum) is determined and appended to a distributed ledger, such as a blockchain. The provenance of data from the existing system can then be verified by redetermining the reduced representation and comparing it to the version appended to the distributed ledger.

Abstract: A user is initially registered during a session with a messaging platform through an out-of-band registration communication. When a user attempts to make a payment within the session or within subsequent sessions with the messaging platform or subsequent sessions with different messaging platforms, the user is presented token names representing registered forms of payment within the user's session. The selected token name is mapped outside the session to specific registered payment details and the payment processing is processed on behalf of the user during the session but through out-of-band session communications.
