One apparatus includes a processor that generates a first signal indicating a first sequence and a first resource pool. Transmission of the first sequence within the first resource pool indicates a behavior of a first device that transmits the transmission of the first sequence. Moreover, the first resource pool is configured for use by multiple devices. The apparatus also includes a transmitter that transmits the first signal to the first device.

Abstract: A system may pre-fetch search result information in anticipation of a user request for the search result information. The system may receive a user search query and request initial search results from a server based on the search query. The system may receive the initial search results from the server and render the initial search results for display to the user. In anticipation of a user request for additional search results, the system may request additional search results from the server. The additional search results may then be pre-fetched for potential display to the user in response to a user request to render the additional search results.

Abstract: A panelling part for a cabin of a means of transportation is proposed, which includes at least one display unit and at least one control unit, which are produced by printing and equipping at least one film, which is applied to a panelling element. The control unit can communicate wirelessly with an external electronics unit, so that the panelling part only requires a power terminal to implement electronic functions. Functions can be retrofitted easily by replacing the at least one film.

Abstract: An electronic device may be provided with wireless circuitry and control circuitry. The wireless circuitry may include a phased antenna array. Sensors and other circuitry in the electronic device may generate sensor data such as accelerometer data, gyroscope data, magnetometer data, location data, and spatial ranging data. The wireless circuitry may establish and maintain one or more wireless links with external devices based on the sensor data as the device moves over time. For example, the wireless circuitry may perform physical layer beam adjustments, inter-radio access technology handovers, intra-radio access technology handovers, and/or dual connectivity adjustments based on the sensor data. This may allow the device to maintain one or more wireless links without having to sweep the signal beam of the phased antenna array over its entire field of view each time the device has moved.

Abstract: Files for a large application can be managed using a distributed file system (DFS) and distributed processing system. Application files can be stored to nodes of an immutable DFS, where the nodes are part of a hierarchical representation of the file system. A distributed processing system enables multiple users to modify respective portions of the file system, where the users obtain only relevant subsets of the application files, allowing for efficient caching. New or modified files can be stored back to the respective nodes of the shared repository, such as by using objects with using names or identifiers that are unique to a particular version, such as may be generated by hashing contents of the files. The parent nodes in the hierarchical tree can be updated to reflect the portion of the tree that has changed, allowing for fast version control as other nodes do not have to be analyzed.

Invalidity prediction instructions are used to determine that a travel listing in the data cache contains inaccurate information. Listing relationship instructions are used to identify listings that are related to the travel listing that contains inaccurate information. Data update requests are then sent to the plurality of data sources for the related listings.

Abstract: A system and methods for automatically generating rewards with ticket sales is disclosed. The system directs a consumer to a ticket vendor portal where the consumer can place an order for the number of tickets desired. After the payment is confirmed, at the conclusion of the purchase, the rewards associated with the purchase of the tickets are automatically generated and returned to the consumer. The rewards may comprise free or reduced-price tickets for military service members or veterans, as well as for public servants such as members of the police and fire department for example. Civilians or a non-military member can direct rewards for a military member or veteran which is automatically generated by the system. Consumer devices may employ communication systems including cellular, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, RFID, and Geo tracking for tracking consumer activity such as consumer purchasing and redemption of rewards.

Abstract: A computer-implemented system and method for facilitating rental of a private parking space by an urban resident are provided. Motor vehicle parking spaces located in a residential area are managed through a server. Smart parking devices that are each physically proximate to least one of the parking spaces are interfaced to the server. Vehicle occupancy sensors that are also each physically proximate to least one of the parking spaces are interfaced to the server. Parking availability indicators that are each associated with at least one of the parking spaces are interfaced to the server. The parking spaces are supplemented with a private parking space under legitimate control by a resident of the residential area. Use of the private parking space is managed through the server and the smart parking device nearest to the private parking space. Parking availability the parking spaces is indicated through the nearest parking availability indicator.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method and a device for user recommendation. The method may comprise: detecting a browsing event with respect to an interaction object; obtaining a provider user of the interaction object and in a communication-enabled state; and recommending information of the provider user to an initiator user of the browsing event for causing the initiator user to initiate a communication event with respect to the interaction object to the provider user. The technical solutions of the present disclosure can achieve matching between interaction users and facilitate the improvement of interaction efficiency.

The method stores mapping relationships between device identifiers of different network devices and server identifiers of push servers that push service information to the network devices in a gateway platform, and further stores respective preference features corresponding to user identifiers in the gateway platform. When a user checks in a hotel room, the gateway platform determines a corresponding push server according to a device identifier of a network device in the hotel room where the user checks in, and sends the user's preference feature to the determined push server. Therefore, after the user stays in the hotel room, information displayed by an Internet television is information preferred by the user, and the user does not have to spend effort to search for the information that is preferred by the user, thereby improving the convenience of using the Internet television.

Abstract: A layered tactical information system and a method of sharing tactical information between multiple layers are provided. The method performed by a processor of each layer of the multiple layers includes searching for relevant data available to the processor of the layer in response to at least one of a layer request from the processor of another layer of the multiple layers and a directive received by a processor of a first layer of the multiple layers. The directive specifies an end state, one or more target types, a time window, a geographic location area, and a first layer requirement of at least one layer requirement to be resolved by the processor of the first layer. The method performed by the processor further includes evaluating whether a layer requirement of the at least one layer requirement for the layer is satisfied based on at least one of (a) any found relevant data that was found by the search and (b) layer data obtained from at least one of the other layers.

Abstract: An embodiment of the invention provides for multiple service classes within a controllable transit system (e.g., a PRT system), by route allocation according to service class priority. Routes are optimized for vehicles needing or entitled to the highest service level, then remaining capacity is used to optimize routes for the next lower service class. Such optimization can be extended indefinitely, through “N” service classes of service. In addition, an embodiment of the invention allows the cataloging of PRT capacity and vehicle types/roles/emissions, as well as related business models. The system provided hereunder provides a means of ensuring that various service classes of system users can be given treatment according to the service class in which they reside. Such prioritization leads to a more flexible system, with higher user satisfaction and a greater number of available business models (e.g., “pay for service class”) permissible within the transit system.
