Abstract: According to one embodiment, workflow templates are stored, each including a predefined sequence of workflow stages associated with a particular type of medical diagnosis or process. Each workflow stage defines one or more image processing operations to be performed. At least one workflow stage generates metadata specifying a parameter to be used by another workflow stage for processing a corresponding medical image. In response to medical image data received, at least one of the image processing operations defined by the workflow stages is performed on the medical image data. A scene is generated for each of the workflow stages representing an image view representing the medical image data. In response to a save or validate command received from a user, the scene associated with each of the workflow stages is stored in a persistent storage, which can be used to recreate a corresponding medical image view subsequently.

Abstract: Various technologies and techniques are disclosed for integrating structured accounting data with unstructured data. From an application that manages structured accounting data related to an entity, a user selection is received to create a document container for a collaboration tool. The document container is used for storing unstructured data related to the entity. In response to the selection of the create option, a site creation service is launched for automatically creating the document container using settings previously specified by an administrator on a configuration screen of the application. Once the document container is created, unstructured data related to the entity is stored in the document container. The user can view and navigate between the structured accounting data and unstructured data without having to leave the application. Unstructured data is automatically published to the document container for the entity as users interact with the application.

Abstract: A method and system for users to concurrently edit a digital file to achieve a predetermined goal. Each iteration creates a copy of the digital file for each user; enables the users to create an altered digital file by making a change having a magnitude within predetermined limits; creates a voting set containing a plurality of digital files, the plurality of digital files including at least one altered or unaltered digital file; enables the users to cast votes in relation to the digital files in the voting set; repeats the steps of creating a voting set and enables the users to cast votes until one of the digital files in one of the voting sets receives a number of votes above a predetermined voting threshold; and includes in the next iteration the digital file which received a number of votes above the predetermined voting threshold.

The apparatus is caused to direct presentation of a filtered list of patient exams that is clustered by patient in the filtered list of patient exams. And for each patient having patient exams in the subset of the patient exams, the respective patient exams are in ranked order in the filtered list of patient exams according to the keyword filter.

Abstract: Systems, methods and computer-readable media are provided for facilitating patient health care by providing discovery, validation, and quality assurance of nomenclatural linkages between pairs of terms or combinations of terms in databases extant on multiple different health information systems that do not share a set of unified codesets, nomenclatures, or ontologies, or that may in part rely upon unstructured free-text narrative content instead of codes or standardized tags. Embodiments discover semantic structures existing naturally in documents and records, including relationships of synonymy and polysemy between terms arising from disparate processes, and maintained by different information systems. In some embodiments, this process is facilitated by applying Latent Semantic Analysis in concert with decision-tree induction and similarity metrics.

Abstract: In a method, system, and computer-readable medium having instructions for sharing information between tenants of a multi-tenant database, information is received on a connection between a first tenant of a multi-tenant database and a second tenant and the connection has information on a scope of data from the first tenant shared with the second tenant, data is allowed for a record of the first tenant to be accessible to the second tenant in accordance with the connection, information is received on a file related to the record of the first tenant, and data is allowed from the file to be accessible to the second tenant in accordance with the connection.

Abstract: Described herein is a system and method for dynamically managing service-level objectives (SLOs) for workloads of a cluster storage system. Proposed states/solutions of the cluster may be produced and evaluated to select one that achieves the SLOs for each workload. A planner engine may produce a state tree comprising nodes, each node representing a proposed state/solution. New nodes may be added to the state tree based on new solution types that are permitted, or nodes may be removed based on a received time constraint for executing a proposed solution or a client certification of a solution. The planner engine may call an evaluation engine to evaluate proposed states, the evaluation engine using an evaluation function that considers SLO, cost, and optimization goal characteristics to produce a single evaluation value for each proposed state. The planner engine may call a modeler engine that is trained using machine learning techniques.

A method includes generating individual sets of statistics for each intermediate relation of a workflow, wherein said intermediate relations comprise results of stages of any plan of the workflow, and wherein each individual set of statistics computes cardinality of the corresponding intermediate relation; determining a global set of statistics for the workflow, wherein said global set of statistics comprises at least one of the individual sets of statistics for each of the intermediate relations; instrumenting a given plan of the workflow to collect the global set of statistics during execution; executing the given plan to collect the global set of statistics; and determining a plan of the workflow with the lowest cost by comparing the cost of multiple plans, wherein the cost of each plan is derived from the global set of statistics.

A system tracking progress of media processing jobs receives a media processing job submitted by a user via an electronic portal, inserts the media processing job as a job entry in a job submission table, sets an initial status for the job entry, processes the media according to parameters associated with the media processing job, maintains a processing history of the media processing job, and updates the initial status based on the processing. The system displays processing history of media processing jobs through an application interface and allows a user to expand and collapse the history to display additional or fewer details of the processing, respectively. The system can generate a virtual representation of a received physical copy of the media and associate the virtual representation with the electronically submitted media processing job.

Abstract: A system providing three-dimensional visual navigation for a mobile unit includes a location calculation unit for calculating an instantaneous position of the mobile unit, a viewpoint control unit for determining a viewing frustum from the instantaneous position, a scenegraph manager in communication with at least one geo-database to obtain geographic object data associated with the viewing frustum and generating a scenegraph organizing the geographic object data, and a scenegraph renderer which graphically renders the scenegraph in real time. To enhance depiction, a method for blending images of different resolutions in the scenegraph reduces abrupt changes as the mobile unit moves relative to the depicted geographic objects. Data structures for storage and run-time access of information regarding the geographic object data permit on-demand loading of the data based on the viewing frustum and allow the navigational system to dynamically load, on-demand, only those objects that are visible to the user.

It is determined whether an assignment policy is unsatisfied, where the assignment policy specifies locations for documents within the distributed document-oriented database. A request for a transfer transaction to move a document from the computer is initiated when the assignment policy is unsatisfied. There is a wait for an indication of a transfer transaction commit or a transfer transaction abort. The transfer transaction is completed in the event of a transfer transaction commit, such that the document is moved from the computer. The transfer transaction is aborted in the event of a transfer transaction abort, such that the document remains at the computer.

Abstract: Computer-implemented method, system, and computer program product for processing data in an out-of-order manner in a streams computing environment. A windowing condition is defined such that incoming data tuples are processed within a specified time or count of each other. Additionally, the windowing condition may be based on a specified attribute of the data tuples. If the tuples are not processed within the constraints specified by the windowing condition, the unprocessed tuples may be discarded, i.e., not processed, to optimize operator performance.

Abstract: In one embodiment, the present invention includes a computer-implemented method comprising receiving a query and generating first and second requests. The first request is sent to an analytic data store and includes a data transfer indicator representing a time period when the data record was received in the analytic data store. The second request is sent to a transactional model proxy and includes a monotonically changing value, such as a timestamp. The transactional model proxy reads data from a transactional data store based on the value in the request. Data from the analytic and transactional data stores may be aggregated and returned in response to the query.

Abstract: Systems, methods and computer program products for bookkeeping of download stamps are described herein. An embodiment includes augmenting database table (or mobile business object) metadata with a synchronization (“sync”) key and assigning a unique identifier to each sync key. A sync key is assigned to one or more rows (or records) in the database table and a download timestamp is associated with each sync key. The embodiment further includes identifying a sync key associated with each row in the database table. Links between rows occurring in different database tables are maintained using sync keys. In this way, embodiments of the invention allow a server to record a download timestamp of database table subsets, where such subsets may include one or more rows in the database tables. This allows data to be downloaded by a client at subset granularity.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention include a method and system for sharing changes made by an application to a file on one computer, coherently with other computers, over the Internet. If the application changes multiple files (also referred to as a file group), changes made to all the files are shared together coherently with other computers over the Internet. Coherence over multiple file copies and file group copies is maintained whether users work on files online or offline. A ‘File Upload Lock’ is maintained on a Cloud Server for ensuring coherent sharing of changes made to files. Embodiments include two file syncing processes, variously described as ‘Incremental File Upload’ or ‘Incremental File Download’ and ‘Delta File Upload’ or ‘Delta File Download’. Embodiments also encompass an ‘Explorer’ software tool and user interface that displays folders and files on user devices with pertinent details from the device and the Cloud Server.

Abstract: An application on a device may interact with a document service that provides access to a document service. The interaction may occur in a variety of contexts, such as a device context (e.g., the document service and the application provided on the same device), a local context (e.g., via a LAN), and a remote context (e.g., over the Internet). It may be advantageous to adapt the interaction to the current context, while also providing a consistent application interface that alleviates the application from context-specific implementations, and also achieving this adaptation in a performant manner. These considerations may be achieved in a balanced manner by providing a set of runtimes, where each runtime mediates the application/document service interaction between the application and the document service in a contextually adapted manner. The device may automatically detect the context of the interaction and select a contextually suitable runtime to service the application.

Abstract: The disclosed embodiments relate to a system that infers a sequence of editing operations that were applied to a document to produce an updated version of the document. During operation, the system computes a minimum edit distance between the document and the updated version of the document. During this process, the system associates a block cost with each contiguous block of characters that is changed by an editing operation and also a character cost with each character that is changed. Next, the system uses information stored during the computation to determine the sequence of editing operations which were used to achieve the minimum edit distance. The system communicates the sequence of editing operations to a remote computing device, wherein the remote computing device uses an operational transformation technique to transform the sequence of editing operations before applying the transformed sequence of editing operations to a remote version of the document.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method, system, and/or computer program mediates a co-editing session for a document. After establishing a co-editing session for a first user and a second user to co-edit a document, a first modification of the document is received from the first user. A second modification of the document, which eliminates the first modification, is subsequently received from the second user. In response to a quantity of subsequent modifications, after the first and second modifications, exceeding a predetermined value, an action is initiated to prevent further modifications to the document.

Abstract: Disclosed are a method, a device and/or a system of editable and searchable markup pages automatically populated through query monitoring of users of a database. In one aspect, a method includes automatically generating an editable markup page and/or a page name based on an initial query of a database using a processor and a memory, associating the generated markup page with a user of the database, and appending information to the editable markup page based on a similar query of the database by another user. The method may include permitting other users of the database to access, modify, append, and/or delete entries from the editable mark-up page.

Abstract: This invention discloses a novel system and method for displaying electronic documents on remote devices and enabling collaborative editing where the system upon a request by a user to access a document, automatically determines the latest version of a document that the person had accessed and also whether a newer version had been created. The invention also merges parallel changes that have not been viewed by the user into the comparison result. The invention also includes running a comparison on the two versions and presenting the result to the user.

Abstract: Example embodiments relate to smart content feeds for document collaboration. In example embodiments, a user may use a system to perform a search of a document repository in order to identify related content for adding to a target document. In response to a user approving the related content identified in the search, the system may create a reference data entry that includes a timestamp and a storage location of a source document that contains the related content. The system may then use the timestamp to detect that a modification of the source document has occurred and generate a notification for the user that describes the modification.

Abstract: A search request received at a computer of a search support system is processed by analyzing the received search request to identify request parameters and connecting to a system index of the search support system that is referenced in the request parameters. An external result provider (ERP) process is initiated that establishes communication between the search support system and a data source external to the search support system, for a virtual index referenced in the request parameters. Thus, the ERP process provides an interface between the search support system and external data sources, such as by third parties. The ERP process can operate in a streaming mode (providing real-time search results with minimal processing) and/or a reporting mode (providing results with a greater delay and processing extent) and can switch between modes. The search request results are received from the connected system indexes and the referenced virtual indexes.

Abstract: Optimization of analytical effectiveness of a plurality of analysts is achieved, in part, this through the routing of information elements (i.e., discrete quantities of content suitable for analysis by one or more analysts) to selected analysts in order to maximize achievement of analysis goals defined as part of an analysis plan. Within an analyst network, information elements are obtained by a routing controller from an information network. Based on the analysis goals provided to the routing controller, the routing controller selects specific analysts to receive the information elements. Various characteristics of individual or groups of analysts may be used to identify the selected analysts. In this manner, the present invention provides the ability to tailor the available analyst resources to best address the universe of available topics in the most efficient and productive manner.
