The network comprises: an authorization database including a digital rights management facility; a first digital download kiosk coupled to the authorization database to receive digital rights management data; and a second digital download kiosk coupled to the authorization database to receive digital rights management data, and coupled to the first digital download kiosk in a peer-to-peer manner to share multi-media content therebetween.

Abstract: In accordance with embodiments, there are provided mechanisms and methods for portal user data access in a multi-tenant on-demand database system. These mechanisms and methods for portal user data access in a multi-tenant on-demand database system can enable embodiments to provide portal-specific user accounts to the multi-tenant on-demand database system which have reduced configuration requirements than users directly accessing the multi-tenant on-demand database system. The ability of embodiments to provide portal-specific user accounts can reduce processing requirements of the database system.

Abstract: Online location sharing through an internet service search engine includes: receiving in a server a query from a first user, the query identifying a second user; querying multiple internet services with the server over a network for real-time information regarding the second user; and providing a consolidated view of responses received from the plurality of internet services to the first user with the server, the server being authorized by the second user to receive all information relevant to the second user contained in the responses; wherein the consolidated view of responses indicates an online location of the second user.

Abstract: A system, method and computer readable storage medium is provided for collecting search requests from a variety of sources, analyzing those search requests in order to determine current trends in searches and other interne entries, and utilizing the search trend information to make enterprise data available to searching users through one or more access methods. One or more listening posts associated with a variety of data store sites accessible to searching users are configured to gather and perform initial filtering of the search requests to the associated sites and other entries. The search request information and other entry information is transmitted to one or more analysis servers that perform additional analysis of key words and phrases in order to categorize and score the searches and entries. Data mining techniques are then used to determine search trends of value to the enterprise performing such search trend analysis.

Each product in the store is assigned identifying information, including a location indicator, position indicator and shelf zone indicator, that is associated with the store layout and which can be utilized by a customer to locate a single item in the store. The identifying information for each product is entered into a computerized database, which includes product availability information. Access to the database is provided to customers through computer terminals in the store and via the Internet from a computer or other device. The customer can also access the database using a hand-held device, such as a smart phone or PDA, and use the device as he or she obtains the item. Using the identifying information, the customer can easily and quickly find the item in the store.

Abstract: A method for improving search quality by quantitative analysis of enterprise web access traffic is disclosed. This invention relates to the field of data processing systems and more particularly to the field of knowledge management in corporate or enterprise. Performing search on heterogeneous data in an enterprise is complex and challenging. Present day technologies deploy costly and time consuming methods involving manual operation of data integration, pre-processing, mining and interpretation tools. Further, these methods are inefficient in retrieving relevant data. The proposed method discloses a method for exhaustive monitoring and analysis of intranet traffic to identify and retrieve relevant data in enterprise search. Resource relevance is revealed by traffic analyzer based on empirical, content-independent metric.

A methods, a computer for installation in a vehicle, and a computer program product may be provided for recording diagnostic vehicle data. In particular, customer interactions on social media channels are intelligently monitored, aggregated, filtered, and analyzed to determine a customer's response to a particular product or service. Abstract: The browsing activity of a first user is motivated by some intent. The first user requests retrieval of a particular document while browsing. A document processing and presentation machine associates the document with a retrieval path taken by the first user. By using the retrieval path data of the document, the document processing and presentation machine infers an intent that likely motivated the first user. When a second user makes a request similar to a request within the retrieval path, the machine presents the second user with the document and some of the retrieval path data, thus providing the second user with a shortcut that leads the second user directly to the document. Thus, the second user may be able to satisfy his intent with significantly less browsing activity compared to the first user.

Abstract: Electronic content is routed and stored within an enterprise, in which a distributed service-oriented architecture platform is provided to seamlessly route and store content to heterogeneous enterprise content repositories. Dynamic content may be stored, retrieved and queried in real-time through a content service bus (CSB), thus eliminating the need to have point-to-point connectivity between client applications and the destination repositories, while supporting the flexibility to consolidate multiple platforms with minimal impacts to clients. The CSB framework may incorporate underlying technologies, including Web services, intelligent routing based on content, message transformation, and federation of content. A request may be routed to the appropriate content repository based on attached content or metadata in the request and transformed by the CSB to a format required by the determined content repository.

Abstract: A file transport mechanism according to the invention is responsible for accepting, storing and distributing files, such as configuration or control files, to a large number of field machines. The mechanism is comprised of a set of servers that accept, store and maintain submitted files. The file transport mechanism implements a distributed agreement protocol based on “vector exchange.” A vector exchange is a knowledge-based algorithm that works by passing around to potential participants a commitment bit vector. A participant that observes a quorum of commit bits in a vector assumes agreement. Servers use vector exchange to achieve consensus on file submissions. Once a server learns of an agreement, it persistently marks (in a local data store) the request as “agreed.” Once the submission is agreed, the server can stage the new file for download.

Abstract: A method for processing a message received by a client device over a mobile communication network is provided. The method enables, firstly, applying one or more predetermined rules on the message. The one or more predetermined rules facilitate modifying the message by removing unwanted words therefrom. Secondly, the method enables matching keywords in the modified message with keywords stored in a keyword database to extract context from the message. Finally, the method enables rendering the extracted context on a user interface screen of the client device. The extracted context is customizable by a user.
