Patent number: 7793177Abstract: A chip testing device having a plurality of testing units is provided. Each testing unit comprises a selector, a flip-flop unit, a first buffer and a second buffer. The selector is controlled by a control signal and has a first input terminal, a feedback input terminal, and a first output terminal. The flip-flop unit has a second input terminal coupled to the first output terminal, a clock signal input terminal for receiving a reference clock signal, and a second output terminal outputting an output data. The first buffer is coupled to the flip-flop unit to convert the output data to a high voltage data, and outputs the high voltage data. The second buffer is coupled to the first buffer to convert high voltage data to low voltage data and transmit the low voltage data to the feedback input terminal.Type: GrantFiled: April 9, 2007Date of Patent: September 7, 2010Assignee: Princeton Technology CorporationInventors: Yen-Wen Chen, Yen-Ynn Chou

Patent number: 7793229Abstract: An embodiment of the present invention is a technique for recording relevant information in a graphical user interface (GUI) window. Relevant information on an analysis window is saved in a summary report array using one of an automatic recording mode and a selective recording mode. The analysis window is part of the GUI to analyze state information from a panel dump file retrieved from a computer system. The saved relevant information is displayed on a report window.Type: GrantFiled: December 19, 2003Date of Patent: September 7, 2010Assignee: Unisys CorporationInventors: Bruce Ernest Whittaker, Leland Elvis Watson

Patent number: 7783928Abstract: A method for describing activities in software products is provided. The method provides for identifying a plurality of activities in a software product that are of interest, defining an event structure to describe each identified activity as an event, associating each identified activity with one or more problem determination technologies, executing the software product, and responsive to detecting one of the plurality of identified activities during execution of the software product, creating one or more event records for the one detected activity based on the defined event structure, initiating the one or more problem determination technologies associated with the one detected activity, and passing the one or more event records to each of the one or more problem determination technologies.Type: GrantFiled: August 31, 2007Date of Patent: August 24, 2010Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Alexander Abrashkevich, Dmitri Abrashkevich, Ralph James Bateman, Stephen Rees, Yinghua (Amy) Tang, Robin D. Patent number: 7783370Abstract: A system for facilitating configuration of a process plant may include a process graphics editor and a process module editor. The process graphics editor may facilitate creation and/or modification of a graphical representation of physical entities in the process plant. The process module editor may facilitate creation and/or modification of a process module. A process module may include one or more interconnected process objects representative of one or more corresponding physical entities in the process plant. The system may also include a supervisor module communicatively coupled to the process graphics editor and the process module editor. The supervisor module may be capable of detecting changes made to the graphical representation of the physical entities using the process graphics editor. In response to detecting such changes, the supervisor module may instruct the process module editor to make a corresponding change, if any, to a process module.Type: GrantFiled: May 4, 2005Date of Patent: August 24, 2010Assignee: Fisher-Rosemount Systems, Inc.Inventors: Mark J. Patent number: 7770070Abstract: A method and system receives test requirements and test settings in order to design a test. An identifier is assigned to the test that was designed and the test is stored in a database using the identifier to identify the test. In addition, the test is printed on at least one sheet or form and a wireless read/write device is programmed with the identifier assigned to the test. The wireless read/write device is attached to the sheet on which the test was printed. Thus, the sheet and the wireless read/write device can be provided to a test operator to allow the test operator to wirelessly read the identifier from the wireless read/write device. Then, the test operator can access the test from the database based on the identifier read from the wireless read/write device. The test instructions (comprising the test requirements and test settings) are provided from the database to the operator to perform the test and potentially produce a physical test output.Type: GrantFiled: June 21, 2007Date of Patent: August 3, 2010Assignee: Xerox CorporationInventors: Alberto Rodriguez, Heiko Rommelmann, Steven T. Patent number: 7764695Abstract: A multi-chassis system includes at least a first chassis and a second chassis that each includes one or more blades. The one or more blades in turn include one or more ports. The two or more chassis are connected through use of an interconnector. The multi-chassis system may also include access to one or more microprocessors that may execute thereon software that controls the propagation of the arm condition. The arm condition is generated at a first port of a first chassis or network analyzer blade coupled to the first chassis. The arm condition is then transmitted to one or more additional ports of the first chassis while not being transmitted to any ports of the second chassis. Finally, the reception of a precondition for triggering defined by the arm condition is limited to those ports that have received the arm condition.Type: GrantFiled: September 25, 2006Date of Patent: July 27, 2010Inventors: Randy I.
