Abstract: Methods, software, and devices for processing a user-filled form are disclosed. A parsable electronic representation of the user-filled form is received. Based on parsing this electronic representation, at least one of a first or a second subset of input elements is identified. The first subset of input elements represents input fields that have received user-filled data while the second subset of input elements represents input fields that have not received user-filled data. Those text elements representing text providing descriptive context to input fields represented by the identified subset of input elements are associated with the identified subset of input elements. A graphical representation of the user-filled form is generated. In this graphical representation, text represented by text elements associated the first subset of input elements are highlighted relative to text represented by text elements associated with the second subset of input elements.

Abstract: Some embodiments of the inventive subject matter include a computer-implemented method for processing text received in an input filed. The method can include presenting, under control of a processor, the input field configured to receive text, wherein the input field has a character limit defining a maximum number of characters that will appear in the input field. The method can also include receiving a first group of text in the input field, wherein the first group of text does not exceed the character limit. The method can also include receiving a second group of text in the input field. The method can also include detecting that the second group of text combined with the first group of text exceeds the character limit, and presenting, in response to the detecting, an input viewer including the first and second groups of text.

Abstract: A user interface features a field explorer component comprising a list of available fields in a stored document. Certain embodiments may present the field explorer in conjunction with an existing transaction interface. In one operational mode, information may be input by selecting values from a drop menu associated with one field of the field explorer. The corresponding field of the transaction interface may be indicated (e.g. with highlighting), with the user being allowed to click/drag/drop selected data from the field explorer to that indicated field. Some embodiments may dispense with displaying the transaction interface, presenting the field explorer instead alongside a symbolic representation of a document container. In this operational mode, the user pulls the desired data from the field explorer into the container representation. If the document is persisted (e.g. as a file or on a database), an output representation (e.g. PDF) may be generated and stored.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer programs are provided for smart interfaces that shift the burden of cognition from a user to a computer system. More particularly, a method is presented for using a computer system to interpret data. The method includes an operation for accepting data from a data entry field of the user interface, where the data is provided to the data entry field in a selected format. The selected format is different from a common data format expected by the user interface. In another operation, the accepted data is normalized to conform to the common data format expected by the user interface. This normalization is based on information about one or more of a geographic location of the user, a geographic location of a server, and a geographic location of a product being used. Further, the method includes an operation for providing the normalized data in the common data format.

Abstract: One embodiment of the present invention provides a system that improves data entry for a form with one or more fields. During operation, the system displays both a printed representation of the form as well as an enhanced representation of the form that displays an enhanced view of the form's fields. When the system detects a user action related to a field displayed in one of the representations, the system adjusts the display of the field in the other representation (or in both representations) to indicate that the two fields are related. By indicating this relationship, the system facilitates entering and/or updating data for the form.

Abstract: Systems and methods for enforcing compliance in a computing environment, the method comprising concurrently and independently executing a monitoring application with a first application utilized by a user, wherein navigating beyond a first decision point in the first application requires the user considering values associated with one or more elements in the first application, wherein the monitoring application monitors elements presented to the user to determine which elements are presented to the user at a point in time; and notifying the user of at least a first element, in response to not having been able to confirm whether a value associated with the first element has been considered by the user prior to said first decision point.

Abstract: Computer-implemented methods for pre-loading a web page in a mobile web browser are provided. In one aspect, a method includes receiving a partial or complete query in a mobile web browser from a mobile device prior to the partial or complete query being submitted by a user and receiving an identification of a predicted web page responsive to the partial or complete query. The method also includes loading but not rendering the predicted web page prior to the partial or complete query being query being submitted by the user, and displaying the loaded and rendered predicted web page in the mobile web browser after the completed query is submitted by the user when the predicted web page is determined to be responsive to the submitted query. Systems, graphical user interfaces, and machine-readable media are also provided.

In some embodiments, in response to receiving an indication that at least a portion of a data object is desired to be included in a table, a set of one or more data values associated with the data object is selected for inclusion in the table and automatically included as an entry corresponding to the data object in the table. In various embodiments, the table may comprise an existing table and/or a newly generated table.

Abstract: A system and method may assist in accurately inserting user data into a form document. An attribute may be received from a user, where the attribute is associated with an attribute name. A document may be presented including a form field element having an identifier. User information may be received into the form field element. It may be determined whether the user information matches the attribute. If so, the identifier associated with the form field element is mapped to the attribute name and the mapping is stored. Upon subsequent display of the form document, user data associated with the mapped attributed name may be inserted into the form field element based on the mapping.

Abstract: A system and method for managing form-generated data related to a patient encounter involves translating location information related to a user writing on a form into a contextualized data element that includes contextual information. The contextual information helps to explain and/or give meaning to the user writing. Contextual information may include a descriptive name, an identification of data type, healthcare classification information, taxonomic information, an indication of the patient, an indication of the person that wrote on the form, and/or an indication of the date and time at which the writing occurred. The contextual information is then used by an Electronic Medical Record (EMR)/Electronic Health Record (EHR) application to perform a function such as patient/insurance billing, case management, or order fulfillment.

Abstract: A system may present a document including a form. Forms content may be received into the form. The received forms content may be periodically and automatically saved to reduce the likelihood that received forms content is lost prior to form submission.

In one aspect, a system and method normalize an image of a document and identify the relative positions of vertical and horizontal lines in the normalized image. The relative positions of vertical and horizontal lines of the normalized image are the model of the document image. The model may be stored in a record, such as an array. The system and method compare the relative positions of vertical and horizontal lines of the model to the relative positions of vertical and horizontal lines of other models to identify a matching model.

The result tree is sent to a remote device that displays a first document in a first format based upon the result tree. A second document is rendered in a second format based upon the result tree and sent to the remote device.

Abstract: The present invention relates to the translation of a portion of text to be communicated in a text-based communication in a communications network. A communications device for composing the text-based communication queries a translation service with a portion of text in a first language to obtain a replacement for the portion in a second language. A user may trigger a replacement query by composing the portion using at least one trigger symbol monitored by the communications device. Replacement may be confirmed with the user and at least one alternative replacement sought in response to the confirmation. The communications network may comprise a wireless network and the communications device a wireless mobile communications device.

Abstract: Animation and visuals are displayed when automatically filling/changing values within a document. A scan animation may be displayed to assist a user in understanding that an action is about to occur using their recent edit(s). A fill animation may be displayed while the suggested values are automatically filled within the document. For example, the suggested values may be displayed according to an uncommitted state (e.g. light grey text) as compared to a committed state (e.g. black text) of related values.
