In an embodiment, portions of the data objects in the collection are indicated as representing the data that is covered by the relationship. In an embodiment, a report representation that is expected to be generated by the report type defined by the user defined relationship is also provided. In an embodiment, a correspondence in indicated between elements of the report representation (e.g., columns in a thumbnail sketch of a report) and the data object representations (e.g., ovals in a Venn diagram).

Abstract: When slide show image data sets are generated from a plurality of image data sets, the image data sets, DVD-Video files representing the slide shows generated from the image data sets, and information representing reproduction order are stored in a manner that allows a user to access them so that pleasure of the slide shows for the user is not ruined. The user changes the images to be included in the DVD-Video files and the reproduction order, while referring to the image data sets, the DVD-Video files, and the information. A digitalization center newly generates DVD-Video files according to the changed images and the changed reproduction order.

Abstract: An image reproducing apparatus sets event information including date of an event and retrieves a related image from images stored in a storing device on the basis of the event information. The image reproducing apparatus calculates an event waiting period from present date to the date of the event, determines display ratio for inserting the retrieved related image into images to be reproduced on the basis of the event waiting period, and displays an event related image group obtained by inserting the related image into the images to be reproduced at the display ratio.

Abstract: A system and method for providing photographic slideshows with theme elements is provided. Each photograph and each theme element may be associated with different contextual information. The contextual information may include, for example, locations, time and date, calendar events, user preference or history information, or any other suitable information. In response to receiving a selection of contextual information, the electronic device may identify photographs and theme elements associated with contextual information to generate a photographic slideshow. Alternatively, in response to receiving a selection of at least one photograph or theme element, the electronic device may identify contextual information associated with the selected photograph or theme element to identify other photographs and theme elements associated with the identified contextual information for generating a photographic slideshow.

In one embodiment, a system is disclosed where presentation pages are sent from a server and received in a client. The presentation pages may include static pages and interactive pages. Interactive pages include active regions that may be selected to access features on server applications. In one embodiment, an active region may be a portion of a presentation page that is selectable to access an application feature. In another embodiment, an active region may be a presentation page that interactively exposes an application feature in the presentation page.

The method includes determining whether a first image to be displayed is an image photographed in a continuous photographing mode, when the first image is an image photographed in the continuous photographing mode, displaying the first image for a first time interval, and when the first image is not an image photographed in the continuous photographing mode, displaying the first image for a second time interval, wherein the first time interval and the second time interval are different from each other. The at least one element sequence may correspond to at least one sentence. The transcription information may be time-coded.

As a user scrolls through pages of a document, for example, slides of a slide presentation, a static representation of each page may be displayed in a main viewing area, and a dynamic view of any dynamic effects may be displayed in an inset preview pane. The preview pane may be provided in a corner of the main viewing area, and may display the dynamic effects in a loop or upon selection. Accordingly, a user may be able to scroll through a document without having to click through interactive content on a page, and concurrently may be informed of and have an opportunity to view the dynamic effects in a preview pane.

In one embodiment, the presentation software automatically detects whether a projector is connected to the portable computer, and automatically outputs to the projector only a predefined portion of the computer screen. Abstract: A method of presenting digital content includes obtaining digital data representative of a succession of content items and presenting the succession of content items in a first presentation mode. In the first presentation mode, steps of making a first selection of the data representing a content item and providing the selected data to a system for rendering the data in perceptible form are carried out automatically for each content item in succession. The method further includes detecting an action by a user at the rendering system and, in response to detecting the action, causing a transition to a second presentation mode, in which second presentation mode the rendering system is caused to render a second selection, different from the first selection, of only the data representing the content item being presented when the action was detected.

Abstract: Methods and computer readable mediums storing computer executable programs for managing multimodal annotations of an image are disclosed. A first communication channel is established between a first machine and a mobile device. A first hierarchical data structure generated by the mobile device is received at the first machine. The first hierarchical data structure includes an image annotated with at least one multimodal annotation. A representation of the first hierarchical data structure is rendered at the first machine. At least one multimodal annotation modification associated with the image is received at the first machine. The at least one multimodal annotation modification is incorporated into the first hierarchical data structure thereby generating a second hierarchical data structure.

Abstract: Techniques for providing adaptive timing support may reduce the cognitive load on a presenter during a presentation by tracking the pace of the presentation on behalf of the presenter. A time interval may be initially allocated to each of multiple sections of a presentation based on a target time duration for the presentation. The actual presentation time duration of a section may be monitored during coverage of the section. Following the detection of an advance to another section of the presentation, the allocated time interval established for each of one or more remaining sections in the presentation may be updated based on a time difference between the actual presentation time duration and the allocated time interval of the section.

Abstract: In accordance with one or more embodiments of the present disclosure, methods and apparatus are provided for flexible and user-friendly navigation of loaded media in a multi-media presentation, such that a user may be able to view and/or edit the presentation. In one embodiment, a method for navigating loaded media comprises loading a page of a collage document to a client device, the page having a plurality of layers with each layer being associated with a media object. The method further includes creating a list of layers of the loaded page, each layer indexed by at least a position in the collage document; navigating the collage document in at least one direction and at at least one speed based on user input; and filtering the list of layers based on at least the position in the collage document and a visual window of a user interface to display visible layers of the page within the visual window. A client device for navigating loaded media is also disclosed.

Abstract: An image data display system classifies image data into a cluster based on a predetermined condition regardless of whether or not the image data conforms to DCF standard and displays information specific to the image data when displayed as a slide show. A CPU creates a cluster, including a plurality of the image data, and a slide show table having first and second cluster name candidates based on a FAT data or an Exif data and a third cluster name candidate input by a user. The image display screen combines any two of the above first, second, and third cluster name candidates and displays a list of the combined candidates as cluster names indicating contents of the image data. The user can select the cluster name in high visibility and can easily display the desired image data as the slide show.

Abstract: Information related to art is provided in networked computing environments wherein users can participate in public or private online interactive video conferences, chat rooms and other online sessions led by art galleries or art gallery affiliates. User's may switch between public sessions and private sessions when ready to make a transaction related to an art object or artist presented in a public session. In private online sessions, potential consumers may also electronically provide the art gallery pictures, diagrams and photographs of an area in which they are interested in placing certain art objects. An image of the art object is shown within the picture to scale with other objects such as a wall, and angle of view. Users may also see the art objects to scale next to other stock images of familiar reference objects during the online session.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus are provided for controlling presentation slides. At least one first terminal is connected to a second terminal. The first terminal controls execution of a presentation file in the second terminal. The first terminal controls the second terminal to switch from a current slide page of the presentation file to another slide page included in the presentation file. The first terminal closes the presentation file in the second terminal.

Abstract: A method for providing a Graphical User Interface (GUI) for changing a reproducing time point, and an imaging apparatus incorporating the same are provided. The GUI for changing a reproducing time point displays reduction images of specific time points within a time period including a specific time point selected by a pointer, and changes the reproducing time point to the time point represented by the reduction image selected from the displayed reduction images. Accordingly, a user is able to search for a desired time point without going through a plurality of manipulations to change the reproducing time point on the progress bar using the pointer.

At least one trip segment is rendered into the interactive tour. The trip segment is rendered to include its media objects and geo-referenced data. The media objects and geo-referenced data are rendered according to a presentation style that is selected based on the included media objects.

Abstract: An electronic presentation aid comprises for example a programmed tablet computer or electronic whiteboard. Presentation data defines the appearance and positions of presentation elements to be displayed in a presentation layout on a display screen. In a presentation mode, the elements are displayed in the presentation layout, with each element being displayed in either a full visibility state or a reduced visibility state. A user can tap on an element, to change it from the reduced visibility state to the full visibility state. In this way, the user does not need to draw the elements by hand, but they can be made visible and discussed in a sequence determined by user during a presentation, rather than a predetermined sequence. Additional functions can be programmed into elements, for example allowing a user to swap an element for alternative elements at the same location, or to launch a media clip.

Abstract: A system and method of processing a video Instant Message (IM) is provided. The method may comprise receiving a captured video stream from an image capture device and selecting at least one video effect from a plurality of video effects. A modified video stream is then generated (e.g., using a digital filter) that includes the video effect and is then communicated to a viewing location as the video Instant Message. The IM application can be a legacy IM application and generate a graphic user interface via the IM application to allow a user to select the video effect. The captured video stream may be received from a web camera and the modified video stream may be communicated via the Internet to the viewing location. The method may be performed in a device driver that interfaces the image capture device to an Instant Messaging application associated with the device driver.

Abstract: A system and method for content creation based on a mixed-initiative approach includes an interface configured to allow a user to access and interact with a generation module to assist in the creation of a media project based on media from a media database. The generation module is configured to receive user-selected media and retrieve a set of related media and populate and organize the media project with the user-selected media and related media. For example, in the case of a photo book project, the generation module is configured to automatically identify a set of images associated with a user-selected image and populate a corresponding page of the photo book with the user-selected image and set of associated images in a corresponding layout, having the user-selected image most prominently depicted. The generation module provides the user with a preview of a generated page for evaluation and manual user editing.
