Abstract: An inventive presentation software, preferably for use on a portable computer, is disclosed. In one embodiment, the presentation software automatically detects whether a projector is connected to the portable computer, and automatically outputs to the projector only a predefined portion of the computer screen. In another embodiment, the presentation software permits a user to control various projector functions (e.g., brightness, contrast, etc.) from within the presentation software itself.

Abstract: An image processing device includes: an indication point acquiring section that acquires an indication point on a presentation material, which a presenter is pointing out with a pointer, through image processing on the presentation material taken by an image pickup device; an element layout changed material acquiring section that acquires an element layout changed material in which an layout of elements contained in the presentation material is changed; a changed indication point determining section that determines as a changed indication point a point on the element layout changed material corresponding to the indication point acquired by the indication point acquiring section; and a display image generating section generates an image in which an image of the element layout changed material is synthesized with a changed indication point indicating image showing the changed indication point and allows a display device to display the generated image.

Abstract: Methods and computer readable mediums storing computer executable programs for managing multimodal annotations of an image are disclosed. A first communication channel is established between a first machine and a mobile device. A first hierarchical data structure generated by the mobile device is received at the first machine. The first hierarchical data structure includes an image annotated with at least one multimodal annotation. A representation of the first hierarchical data structure is rendered at the first machine. At least one multimodal annotation modification associated with the image is received at the first machine. The at least one multimodal annotation modification is incorporated into the first hierarchical data structure thereby generating a second hierarchical data structure.

Abstract: A method of presenting digital content includes obtaining digital data representative of a succession of content items and presenting the succession of content items in a first presentation mode. In the first presentation mode, steps of making a first selection of the data representing a content item and providing the selected data to a system for rendering the data in perceptible form are carried out automatically for each content item in succession. The method further includes detecting an action by a user at the rendering system and, in response to detecting the action, causing a transition to a second presentation mode, in which second presentation mode the rendering system is caused to render a second selection, different from the first selection, of only the data representing the content item being presented when the action was detected.

Abstract: Techniques for providing adaptive timing support may reduce the cognitive load on a presenter during a presentation by tracking the pace of the presentation on behalf of the presenter. A time interval may be initially allocated to each of multiple sections of a presentation based on a target time duration for the presentation. The actual presentation time duration of a section may be monitored during coverage of the section. Following the detection of an advance to another section of the presentation, the allocated time interval established for each of one or more remaining sections in the presentation may be updated based on a time difference between the actual presentation time duration and the allocated time interval of the section.

Abstract: An information processing apparatus is provided that includes a playback unit to play back music data, an analysis unit to analyze a feature of a relevant image of the music data, an image correction unit to perform image correction with use of any of a plurality of correction types, a storage unit to store one or more than one image, a selection unit to select a correction type corresponding to the feature of the relevant image analyzed by the analysis unit from the plurality of correction types, a correction control unit to cause the image correction unit to perform image correction of an image stored in the storage unit with use of the correction type selected by the selection unit, and an output unit to output the image corrected by the image correction unit.

Abstract: In accordance with one or more embodiments of the present disclosure, methods and apparatus are provided for flexible and user-friendly navigation of loaded media in a multi-media presentation, such that a user may be able to view and/or edit the presentation. In one embodiment, a method for navigating loaded media comprises loading a page of a collage document to a client device, the page having a plurality of layers with each layer being associated with a media object. The method further includes creating a list of layers of the loaded page, each layer indexed by at least a position in the collage document; navigating the collage document in at least one direction and at at least one speed based on user input; and filtering the list of layers based on at least the position in the collage document and a visual window of a user interface to display visible layers of the page within the visual window. A client device for navigating loaded media is also disclosed.

Abstract: In some implementations, a user may select a category, attribute or term related to content item. During presentation of the content item, an electronic device may visually distinguish (or, alternatively, hide) at least one portion of content associated with the selected category, attribute or term. In some examples, a user interface may be displayed to enable the user to select one or more categories, attributes, or terms related to the content item. The user interface may further enable the user to select a graphics scheme to be used for visually distinguishing at least one portion of content corresponding to the selection. Selection information identifying a portion of content to be visually distinguished or hidden may be sent to a content provider, such as for synchronization with other instances of the content item on other devices of a user, or for aggregation of the selection information by the content provider.

Abstract: An image data display system classifies image data into a cluster based on a predetermined condition regardless of whether or not the image data conforms to DCF standard and displays information specific to the image data when displayed as a slide show. A CPU creates a cluster, including a plurality of the image data, and a slide show table having first and second cluster name candidates based on a FAT data or an Exif data and a third cluster name candidate input by a user. The image display screen combines any two of the above first, second, and third cluster name candidates and displays a list of the combined candidates as cluster names indicating contents of the image data. The user can select the cluster name in high visibility and can easily display the desired image data as the slide show.

Abstract: Systems and methods for facilitating web based sales presentations with synchronized display are provided According to one embodiment, a method comprises receiving a request from a sales representative to have an invitation sent to a customer to remotely view a presentation; sending a communication to the customer inviting the customer to view the presentation; storing the presentation at a storage unit associated with a server system; displaying at a first separate computer system of the sales representative, navigational links for selecting a slide of the presentation; in response to the customer selecting a URL included in the communication to the customer, displaying, at a second separate computer system of the customer, the presentation; and synchronizing a display of the presentation at the first separate computer system of the sales representative and the display of the presentation at the second separate computer system of the customer.

Abstract: Information related to art is provided in networked computing environments wherein users can participate in public or private online interactive video conferences, chat rooms and other online sessions led by art galleries or art gallery affiliates. User's may switch between public sessions and private sessions when ready to make a transaction related to an art object or artist presented in a public session. In private online sessions, potential consumers may also electronically provide the art gallery pictures, diagrams and photographs of an area in which they are interested in placing certain art objects. An image of the art object is shown within the picture to scale with other objects such as a wall, and angle of view. Users may also see the art objects to scale next to other stock images of familiar reference objects during the online session.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus are provided for controlling presentation slides. At least one first terminal is connected to a second terminal. The first terminal controls execution of a presentation file in the second terminal. The first terminal controls the second terminal to switch from a current slide page of the presentation file to another slide page included in the presentation file. The first terminal closes the presentation file in the second terminal.

Abstract: A method for providing a Graphical User Interface (GUI) for changing a reproducing time point, and an imaging apparatus incorporating the same are provided. The GUI for changing a reproducing time point displays reduction images of specific time points within a time period including a specific time point selected by a pointer, and changes the reproducing time point to the time point represented by the reduction image selected from the displayed reduction images. Accordingly, a user is able to search for a desired time point without going through a plurality of manipulations to change the reproducing time point on the progress bar using the pointer.

Abstract: Embodiments include a computer-implemented for generating a photographic tour of a geographic location. The method including receiving, from first and second users, first and second sets of photographic images associated with the geographic location, receiving, from the first user, a request to generate the photographic tour of the geographic location, providing the first and second sets of photographic images for display, the photographic images of the first and second sets of photographic images being user selectable for inclusion in the photographic tour of the geographic location, receiving user selection of at least one of the photographic images of the first set of photographic images received from the first user and at least one of the photographic images of the second set of photographic images received from the second user, generating the photographic tour of the geographic location using the selected photographic images.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer storage mediums for rendering a geo-referenced interactive tour using media objects associated with a user. An exemplary method includes collecting the media objects from one or more selected user profiles associated with the user. Each media object is collected based on an associated time value. The collected media objects are organized into one or more trip segments based on velocity value associated with each collected media object, the velocity value indicating the velocity of travel between two media objects. At least one trip segment is rendered into the interactive tour. The trip segment is rendered to include its media objects and geo-referenced data. The geo-referenced data is determined from at least one geolocation associated with a media object included in the trip segment. The media objects and geo-referenced data are rendered according to a presentation style that is selected based on the included media objects.

A display control unit displays a list of a plurality of thumbnail images of the image data on a display device. One particular method comprises receiving by the media display system, a plurality of photos depicting individuals and displaying one or more controls for specifying an action to one or more selected individuals. The method further comprises receiving a selection of one or more individuals, generating an action list according to the selection, and customizing the photo presentation comprising photos from among the received plurality of photos according to the action list and according to the analyzed facial regions.

Abstract: An electronic presentation aid comprises for example a programmed tablet computer or electronic whiteboard. Presentation data defines the appearance and positions of presentation elements to be displayed in a presentation layout on a display screen. In a presentation mode, the elements are displayed in the presentation layout, with each element being displayed in either a full visibility state or a reduced visibility state. A user can tap on an element, to change it from the reduced visibility state to the full visibility state. In this way, the user does not need to draw the elements by hand, but they can be made visible and discussed in a sequence determined by user during a presentation, rather than a predetermined sequence. Additional functions can be programmed into elements, for example allowing a user to swap an element for alternative elements at the same location, or to launch a media clip.

The method may include receiving uploaded presentation slides to be played back, and converting the presentation slides into slides in video format. The conversion may be performed according to a preset order. Further, a user operation on a speaker client may be detected. A presentation slide corresponding to the user operation may be substantially simultaneously pushed to the speaker client and an audience client. The slide pushed may be the presentation slide converted to the video format. The speaker client and the audience client may substantially simultaneously playback the pushed slide.

The display processing apparatus selects, as the time interval at which the plurality of images are switched and displayed one by one, either a time interval based on the difference between time data corresponding to images before and after switching, or a predetermined interval. Abstract: A system and method of processing a video Instant Message (IM) is provided. The method may comprise receiving a captured video stream from an image capture device and selecting at least one video effect from a plurality of video effects. A modified video stream is then generated (e.g., using a digital filter) that includes the video effect and is then communicated to a viewing location as the video Instant Message. The IM application can be a legacy IM application and generate a graphic user interface via the IM application to allow a user to select the video effect. The captured video stream may be received from a web camera and the modified video stream may be communicated via the Internet to the viewing location. The method may be performed in a device driver that interfaces the image capture device to an Instant Messaging application associated with the device driver.

Abstract: A system and method for content creation based on a mixed-initiative approach includes an interface configured to allow a user to access and interact with a generation module to assist in the creation of a media project based on media from a media database. The generation module is configured to receive user-selected media and retrieve a set of related media and populate and organize the media project with the user-selected media and related media. For example, in the case of a photo book project, the generation module is configured to automatically identify a set of images associated with a user-selected image and populate a corresponding page of the photo book with the user-selected image and set of associated images in a corresponding layout, having the user-selected image most prominently depicted. The generation module provides the user with a preview of a generated page for evaluation and manual user editing.

Abstract: Described herein are techniques and mechanisms for personalized timeline presentation. According to various embodiments, information characterizing a plurality of pause events associated with playback of a video content item for a content management account may be presented on a display screen at a computing device. The user account may be associated with a plurality of profiles. Each of the pause events may identify a time at which playback of the video content item was paused. The time may be measured relative to the playback length of the video content item. Each of the pause events may be associated with a respective one of the plurality of profiles. A selection of one of the pause events for initiating playback of the video content item may be received at the computing device. Playback of the video content item on the display screen in accordance with the selected pause event may be initiated.

Abstract: Techniques are presented to enable a meeting participant/attendee at an endpoint device in an online/web-based meeting/conference to navigate content of a presentation made by a presenter without disrupting the flow of the presentation made by the presenter. At the endpoint of a meeting attendee, data is stored representing content as it is being presented by a presenter at a presenter endpoint device. A command is received from an attendee at the attendee endpoint device to display previously presented content of the presentation. The attendee endpoint device retrieves data for the previously presented content from the stored data. During the presentation (but without disrupting the presenter's presentation of the content), the attendee endpoint device displays the previously presented content from the retrieved data.

Abstract: Techniques for an electronic montage system are described. An apparatus may comprise a logic device arranged to execute a montage application comprising an authoring component operative to provide a presentation surface having multiple presentation tiles, receive control directives to associate content files with presentation tiles, generate tile objects for the content files based on content file types for the content files, and store the presentation surface and tile objects as a montage. Abstract: In a method for customization of contextual information during a web conference presentation, a computer system executes a presentation program during a conference presentation. The computer system receives a request to access presentation templates based on parameters of a presenter, wherein the presentation templates including parameters identifying one or more of template texture, template font, template name of the presenter or template photo of the presenter of the conference presentation. In addition, the computer system determines an identity of the presenter during the conference presentation and matching the identity of the presenter against the parameter of the presenter. Moreover, the computer system extracts the presentation templates in the repository based on the match. The computer system further applies the extracted presentation template to presentation contents of the presentation program.

Abstract: The subject matter described herein is directed to controlling presentation and selection of objects that are digital images depicting subjects. According to one aspect, a plurality of objects is presented via a presentation device. Each object s associated with at least one other object of plurality of objects and is a digital image of a subject. A first object presented is selected in response to a first selection event associated with the first object. A second object non-adjacent to the first object is determined based on a predefined relationship associating the first object with the second object. The second is presented via the presentation device adjacent to the first object in response to the determination. An indication of the predefined relationship is also presented.

Abstract: A presentation control system and method are provided, in which a first terminal is connected to a second terminal to control displaying of a presentation file stored in the second terminal. The first terminal controls execution of the presentation file in the second terminal, controls execution of switching between slide pages included in the presentation file in the second terminal, and controls closing of the presentation file in the second terminal.

Abstract: A portable terminal equipped with a projector and a method for displaying data using the portable terminal provides capabilities for both conferencing and video presentations. When a projection function is selected in the portable terminal while the portable terminal is making a video call with other portable terminal, presentation data that will be output via the projector is transmitted to another portable terminal. The presentation data and image data transmitted from the other portable terminal is output via the projector of the portable terminal.

Abstract: Described herein are methods for determining patterns based on requests received by a server. Based on the determined patterns, insight into the types of requests received by the server can be gained. Additionally, performance statistics and query statistics can be aggregated in a useful way. For example, performance statistics may be summarized for each determined pattern. One technique for determining patterns includes determining a sequence of template identifiers identifying templates that correspond to sub-sequences of requests in a sequence of server requests. A model may be created based on the sequence of template identifiers. Based on the model, template patterns may be determined. Template patterns may further be grouped into pattern clusters.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for providing a personalized entertainment experience, which may be customized for each user. A user's playback/presentation history and/or user actions may be captured and associated with each played/presented composition. A target time for playback/presentation of a composition to the user may be determined by using a user's playback/presentation history and/or user actions. The target time for playback/presentation may incorporate a target time between playbacks/presentations of a composition, which may be at least partially based on a user's playback/presentation history and/or user actions. A customized sequence of compositions may be automatically generated for each user. The personalized sequence may automatically adapt to changing user actions and preferences over time. The user's collection of compositions may be automatically integrated with the generated customized sequence.

Abstract: An apparatus and method of setting a background screen of a mobile terminal are provided. The method includes receiving a selection of background screen set menu, generating a tag information list by using at least one tag information which classifies a plurality of images stored in the mobile terminal by related image, displaying the generated tag information list, receiving a selection of at least one tag information from among the displayed tag information list, and configuring a background screen with at least one image classified as the at least one selected tag information.

Abstract: The presentation of user interface content via a media player is disclosed. In one embodiment, a media player detects a triggering event, and, upon detecting the triggering event, requests and receives a user interface content slide deck comprising one or more user interface content slides. The media player then retrieves user interface content for a slide in the slide deck, and displays the user interface content for the slide in the slide deck to a user along with media content.
