Abstract: A task supervising system for allowing registered users to assign a task to a phone number that is pre sent in contact list of their respective communication devices. Further, the task supervising system also allows its registered users to assign a supervisor for the task by typing a phone number. In addition, the task supervising system enables the users to view tasks related to their phone numbers. The users may manage their tasks, or track or update status/progress of their tasks. Furthermore, the task supervising system enables the users to add attributes and remarks to their tasks. Moreover, the task supervising system enables the users to send reminders to other users for completing tasks or for sharing status of the tasks. Additionally, the task supervising system enables the users to mark a task or a phone number as a junk-task or as a source of junk-tasks, respectively.

Abstract: A system and method for entering USSD codes through an ambiguous text entry interface. The disclosed system may be embedded in mobile devices or other devices having reduced (e.g., 12 key) keypads for text entry. The system receives text entry from users, disambiguates the text entry, and presents the user with descriptors (i.e., representative words, icons, or other visual indicators) that are associated with the entered text and correlated with USSD codes. In response to a user selecting a descriptor, the system retrieves the corresponding USSD code and causes the device to transmit a message to the USSD service. The USSD service receives the message and invokes appropriate processes to respond to the message. In some embodiments, the system presents the list of descriptors representing USSD codes to the user in an order that is related to the probability that the user will select the descriptor.

Accordingly it is beneficial to provide electronic publication software systems and/or software applications to enable new paradigms that provide consumers, authors, publishers, retailers, and others with a method of navigating electronic content comprising the ability to generate a user interface that supports individual page turns as well as small, moderate and large adjustments of position within the electronic content, wherein the user interface supports these adjustments in a manner that is consistent.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for selecting components to include in portions of a displayable file. Selecting the components may include determining an order of the components for each portion of the displayable file. The components' order for a given portion may be based on a score for each component, where a component's score is based on an estimated value and standard error associated with the component. The component to include in each portion of the displayable file may be selected based at least in part on the determined component order for each portion and a predetermined priority of each portion.

Abstract: The present invention is applicable to the field of information processing and provides a method and apparatus for evaluating user activity in an anonymous social system. The method includes: configuring a status option in the anonymous social system and configuring at least two statuses for the status option, detecting the status selected by a user, determining an activity of the user in the anonymous social system according to the status selected and pushing a functional experience related to the activity to a client of the user. The user interface can be arranged to activate from a user's “home page” on the display, from an idle screen that is accessed after a timeout period expires, or any other appropriate mechanism that activates the preferred contact group centric experience. A user selects the preferred contact group from among an array of the user's contacts. Once the contact group is configured, a minimal number of navigation/selection features is necessary to activate any number of communication modes available to the contacts. The contact group is configured such that simple and quick navigation between the contact members is achieved. The contact group can be presented in 2D and 3D arrangements, in any number of list or geometric configurations. A pricing plan can optionally be tied to each member of the contact group.

Abstract: A geospatial platform for building applications involving location and time is disclosed. The applications allow users to analyze and make sense of the location and time-based data generated by a wide variety of devices in real time, as it is generated. The platform in one example features a dashboard for associating code statements with a variety of data visualizations. Abstract: A method for synchronizing different components of a computer network system using meta-commands embedded in normal network packets. The data communication channel between different components of a computer network system can be used to transport meta-commands piggybacked in normal network packets, without modifying or compromising the validity of the protocol message. Embodiments of the method can be used for embedding test synchronization and control commands into the network packets sent through a device or system under test. The device or system under test can be an edge device, with the data communication channel carrying normal packets containing meta-commands embedded in the packets to synchronize the test control of the test clients and the test servers connected to the edge device.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for registering, curating, enabling, and controlling the use of non-locational identifiers, such as phone numbers and domain names, as physical addresses and location identifiers (LIDs) for purposes of providing instant access to enhanced cross-platform location information and services imbedded in other devices and services through an LID registry. An exemplary method for registration may include receiving a request from a requester to register a non-locational identifier owned by the requester and create an LID for a physical location, creating the LID within the LID registry by verifying that the LID is unique within the registry, that the requestor owns the LID, and registering the LID to the requestor within the LID registry. Users may then use the LIDs as physical addresses for purposes of navigation and obtaining information related to such physical locations only as authorized and controlled by the owners of such LIDs.

The event notification component may have an event agent component to receive a message indicating a change event for line of business (LOB) data, and convert the change event to a defined LOB entity event. The event notification component may have a notification service component to generate a LOB event message for the entity event.
