Abstract: A task supervising system for allowing registered users to assign a task to a phone number that is pre sent in contact list of their respective communication devices. Further, the task supervising system also allows its registered users to assign a supervisor for the task by typing a phone number. In addition, the task supervising system enables the users to view tasks related to their phone numbers. The users may manage their tasks, or track or update status/progress of their tasks. Furthermore, the task supervising system enables the users to add attributes and remarks to their tasks. Moreover, the task supervising system enables the users to send reminders to other users for completing tasks or for sharing status of the tasks. Additionally, the task supervising system enables the users to mark a task or a phone number as a junk-task or as a source of junk-tasks, respectively.

  • Patent number: 8943437
Abstract: A system and method for entering USSD codes through an ambiguous text entry interface. The disclosed system may be embedded in mobile devices or other devices having reduced (e.g., 12 key) keypads for text entry. The system receives text entry from users, disambiguates the text entry, and presents the user with descriptors (i.e., representative words, icons, or other visual indicators) that are associated with the entered text and correlated with USSD codes. In response to a user selecting a descriptor, the system retrieves the corresponding USSD code and causes the device to transmit a message to the USSD service. The USSD service receives the message and invokes appropriate processes to respond to the message. In some embodiments, the system presents the list of descriptors representing USSD codes to the user in an order that is related to the probability that the user will select the descriptor.

  • Patent number: 8826293
Abstract: A method, system, and computer program product for visualization-centric performance-based volume allocation in a data storage system using a processor in communication with a memory device is provided. A unified resource graph representative of a global hierarchy of storage components in the data storage system, including each of a plurality of storage controllers, is generated. The unified resource graph includes a common root node and a plurality of subtree nodes corresponding to each of a plurality of nodes internal to the plurality of storage controllers. The common root node and the plurality of subtree nodes are ordered in a top-down orientation. Scalable volume provisioning of an existing or new workload amount by graphical manipulation of at least one of the storage components represented by the unified resource graph is performed based on an input.

Abstract: Enlargement of a reference list is prevented by supporting appropriate deletion of transaction objects, which are unnecessary to register in the reference list, from the reference list. An information processing apparatus includes: a selecting means that selects, as candidates for deletion from a reference list, a transaction object associated with a transaction object targeted for operation among transaction objects registered in the reference list, based on reference list information of a user, which is stored in a storing means that stores the reference list information indicating transaction objects registered in the reference list holding a reference to information associated with the transaction objects, when a predetermined operation relating to selection of the transaction object is performed by the user; and a controlling means that suggests the deletion candidates selected by the selecting means.

Abstract: A service policy visualization interface is provided that is capable of selection and filtering of policy resources associated with a service managed using service policies. In response to detecting a selection of a policy resource within the service policy visualization interface, the selected policy resource is introspected to identify service policies. The service policies are attached to the selected policy resource within a resource hierarchy associated with the selected policy resource. Based upon results of the introspection of the selected policy resource, an effective applied policy configuration associated with the selected policy resource is created, including correlated and combined effects of the attached service policies. The effective applied policy configuration associated with the selected policy resource, including the correlated and combined effects of the attached service policies, is displayed within the service policy visualization interface.

  • Publication number: 20140223283
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for registering, curating, enabling, and controlling the use of non-locational identifiers, such as phone numbers and domain names, as physical addresses and location identifiers (LIDs) for purposes of providing instant access to enhanced cross-platform location information and services imbedded in other devices and services through an LID registry. An exemplary method for registration may include receiving a request from a requester to register a non-locational identifier owned by the requester and create an LID for a physical location, creating the LID within the LID registry by verifying that the LID is unique within the registry, that the requestor owns the LID, and registering the LID to the requestor within the LID registry. Users may then use the LIDs as physical addresses for purposes of navigation and obtaining information related to such physical locations only as authorized and controlled by the owners of such LIDs.
