The memory may store a first database including a plurality of records, wherein each record in the first database stores a telephone number (TN) and a status of the corresponding TN. the first database may stores information to indicate whether one of the records in the first database was updated. The memory may store a second database having a plurality of records. Each record in the second database may indicate a range of consecutive TNs from the first database having a same status. The system may include processors to run a first thread to update the one of the records in the first database. The processors may run a second thread to generate the second database from the first database in response to the stored information indicating that the one of the records in the first database was updated.

Abstract: Application gadget techniques are described. In an implementation, a remote control device includes a display device and one or more modules. The one or more modules are configured to initiate one or more control functions related to control of a display of content by a client. The one or more modules also provide an environment to execute one or more application gadgets such that an output of the one or more application gadgets is displayable on the display device.

Abstract: A processor copies first and second installable binary files into first and second disk images of first and second virtual machines, respectively, before instantiating the images. The processor can copy first installation parameters and second installation parameters into the first image. The processor copies additional first installation parameters and additional second installation parameters into the second image. The processor at least partially executes a first installation process, based on the first installation parameters, to install the first installable binary files, and a second installation process, based on the additional second installation parameters, to install the second installable binary files. The processor at least partially executes the installation processes in an interleaved manner in relation to one another, based on dependencies.

Abstract: A request to obtain data items associated with an entity is received from a client device. One or more computing devices determine whether access to the data items is restricted by an access control policy and whether the client device complies with the access control policy. In response to determining that the client device complies with the access control policy, at least a portion of the data items that the access control policy permits the client device to access are identified. An integration of the at least a portion of the data items with additional data items is initiated.

Abstract: Method and apparatus are disclosed for optimizing Random Access Channel (RACH) transmissions from wireless transmit/receive units (WTRUs) for multiple transmissions. A WTRU may initiate uplink transmission for a random access procedure using a configured time resource such that the uplink resources may be time shared by a plurality of WTRUs. The transmission time may be calculated on an absolute or relative basis. A backoff time may be applied before starting the uplink transmission. The backoff time may be WTRU-specific, WTRU group-specific, specified per access class and may be determined based on a priority basis. A scaling factor may be applied to the backoff time. A contention free allocation method may be used to determine the appropriate resource. The data may be transmitted with and without a preamble. The WTRUs may include machine type communication devices and may be grouped in accordance with a number of factors or characteristics.

Abstract: A user engaged in an online chat session with one or more other users can start a screen sharing session with the other users without having to leave the context of the online chat session. In an implementation, a chat window for the chat session includes a screen sharing button. The screen sharing button can be clicked to start a screen sharing session with the other chat participants. A system generated message is displayed within the chat windows of the other chat participants inviting them to view the remote screen. Upon accepting the invite, a viewer is launched to show the information being displayed on the remote screen.

Abstract: A device provides user interfaces for capturing and sending media, such as audio, video, or images, from within a message application. The device detects a movement of the device and in response, plays or records an audio message. The device sends the recorded audio message in response to detecting a movement of the device. The device removes messages from a conversation based on expiration criteria. The device shares a location with one or more message participants in a conversation.

Abstract: Certain example embodiments relate to using Complex Event Processing (CEP) techniques for statistical analysis of cache behavior and parameters, e.g., in connection with large, potentially heterogeneous data sets (e.g., “Big Data”). A dedicated stream mining operator registers a listener to a cache and receives notifications on cache operations. For selected element attributes, a first model estimates the probability density functions of the attribute values, delivering well-defined estimates of the attribute value distributions. A second model analyzes the time elements stay in the cache (“validity”). Validity is combined with the attribute value distribution. A meaningful analysis model (Cache Element Model) can be derived by combining additional summary statistics for the validity with the attribute value distribution, describing how long elements stay in the cache for attribute values of a specific region, and how the values are distributed.

Abstract: Embodiments provide for a handheld device with a unified desktop for integrating the functionality of the handheld device with a larger computer system. When connected to a peripheral display and/or a display of the larger computer system, the handheld device provides a unified desktop displayed across the screen(s) of the handheld device and the peripheral display. The unified desktop unifies the functionality provided by the larger computer system and the handheld functionality, e.g., communication applications (e.g., phone, SMS, MMS). A user can seamlessly interact with applications, e.g., open, move, close, receive notifications, on the unified desktop whether the applications are displayed on the screens of the handheld device, or the peripheral display of the larger computer system.

Abstract: A set of media files are identified within a data store. Each of the media files lack user established file names, lack user established icons, or lack user established file names and icons. The media files are analyzed to determine semantic metadata. For at least a subset of the media files, the semantic metadata is utilized to automatically generate unique and meaningful file names, file icons, or both file names and file icons for each of the media files in the subset.

Abstract: Data provided on a first computing device is represented by a graphical object displayed on a screen. A user can initiate an “attach event” with a gesture to enable the graphical object to be associated and/or virtually attached to the user and/or a user's hand/fingers. An image capture component can view/track user movements. Based on the viewed/tracked movements, the graphical object representing the data on the first computing device can be moved on a screen of the first computing device to correspond to the movement of the user's hand/finger. The graphical object also can be moved to a position on a screen of a second computing device when the user moves a hand/fingers to an area corresponding to the position. A user may initiate a “release event” with a gesture and can end the association and enable the data to be sent to the second computing device.

Abstract: Systems and methods for providing a manufacturer portal are disclosed. More specifically, in one embodiment a content distribution system, as a central location for user generated content may also provide manufacturers with a portal to monitor, and participate in, the process of content generation and distribution. This portal may provide the manufacturers with the ability to: view generated content related to that manufacturer and to filter this user generated content utilizing a wide variety of criteria and to generate content which may be responsive to presented generated content. Content generated by a manufacturer through their portal may subsequently be incorporated into one or more retailer's site utilizing the content distribution system.

Abstract: A system and method for sharing data between devices are provided. A source device detects one or more receiving devices that are operated in a mode to receive data from the source device. The source device detects a user action that signifies intent of a user to transmit data to the one or more receiving devices. In response to detecting the user action, the source device identifies data that is in a state designated to be transmitted. The identified content is transmitted to the one or more receiving devices.

Abstract: A method and system are provided for delivering digital content. A first catalogued list of content is delivered from a user operated device to a media storage device, and attributes of the first catalogued list are determined. A second catalogued list of content is delivered from a content provider to the media storage device. The first catalogued list is modified based upon the second catalogued list and the attributes, and the modified first catalogued list is delivered to the user operated device. Content from the modified first catalogued list is delivered to the user operated device for storage and subsequent playback.

A user preference profile manager may transmit a user preference from the user preference profile to a requesting user transaction terminal. the user preference manager may also receive a dynamic user preference from a user preference profile and extend the user preference profile with the dynamic user preference, where the dynamic user preference includes a preference definition and the preference definition includes read and write access controls for the dynamic user preference. Then the user manager may update the user preference profile based on data received from the user transaction terminal.

Abstract: A system that incorporates teachings of the present disclosure may include, for example, a server having a controller to determine a common user interface to be presented by a group of media devices of a premises where the group of media devices are capable of receiving media content from the server over a power line of the premises and are capable of presenting the media content, detect user interaction with the common user interface from different media devices of the group of media devices, and transmit display signals to the group of media devices for displaying the user interaction on the common user interface, where the display signals differentiate the different media devices that received the user interaction. Abstract: Systems and methods of batch uploading of content to a web-based collaboration environment are disclosed. In one aspect, embodiments of the present disclosure include a method, which may be implemented on a system, for receiving an upload request from a user through a user interface to upload multiple items and sequentially uploading each of the multiple items to the host server. In one embodiment, the user is able to navigate away from the user interface through which the upload request was submitted prior to completion of the uploading of each of the multiple items to the host server. In addition, the upload of the multiple items is not interrupted if the user accesses a link on the user interface causing another user interface to launch in a browser.

Deploying the one or more database objects to the database cloud service may comprise generating, based at least in part on the one or more database objects in the virtual cart, a set of one or more files for loading the database objects into a target database associated with the database cloud service and sending the set of one or more files to the database cloud service.

Abstract: In a computer-implemented method for copying/pasting items in a virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) environment a request is received to copy an item from a first virtual machine and paste the item to a second virtual machine. A unique identifier of the item is generated. An indication is received at the second virtual machine, from a communication broker, that the item is at the first virtual machine. The item is received at the second virtual machine directly from the first virtual machine.

Abstract: The present invention relates to home devices such as set-top boxes, and more particularly to methods providing autonomous file transfers to and from such home devices. There is provided a method for spreading notifications pertaining to the completion of file transfers in time. The method is based on the concept of imposing different delay times on different devices, which delay times must be observed prior to notifying the server of a file transfer completion.

Abstract: Methods and systems are described herein for a media guidance application that coordinates the display of direction-specific media assets on a display device associated with a particular direction. For example, the media guidance application may receive data (e.g., stored when an image or video was created) that indicates a direction a content capture device was facing when the image or video was captured. Based on that data, the media guidance application may select a particular display device (e.g., a computer, tablet, television, etc.) that corresponds to the direction (e.g., from the point of view of a user) on which to present the media asset.

Abstract: A system, apparatus, graphical user interface and methods are provided for conducting electronic voice communications with status notifications. A user of a first portable device executing a communication application selects a multi-function control that automatically initiates an audio recording, which is automatically sent toward another participant of an active communication session when the control is released. The same multi-function control may be used to transmit a textual message. A representation of the recording is displayed on the user's device, with an indicator that changes appearance when the other participant plays the recording. In addition, when one user initiates an audio recording that will be automatically sent to another user, the other user's device is advised of the initiation of recording and displays that status for the other user.
