  • Patent number: 9305273
Abstract: A system may include a network device including a memory. The memory may store a first database including a plurality of records, wherein each record in the first database stores a telephone number (TN) and a status of the corresponding TN. the first database may stores information to indicate whether one of the records in the first database was updated. The memory may store a second database having a plurality of records. Each record in the second database may indicate a range of consecutive TNs from the first database having a same status. The system may include processors to run a first thread to update the one of the records in the first database. The processors may run a second thread to generate the second database from the first database in response to the stored information indicating that the one of the records in the first database was updated.

Abstract: Method and apparatus are disclosed for optimizing Random Access Channel (RACH) transmissions from wireless transmit/receive units (WTRUs) for multiple transmissions. A WTRU may initiate uplink transmission for a random access procedure using a configured time resource such that the uplink resources may be time shared by a plurality of WTRUs. The transmission time may be calculated on an absolute or relative basis. A backoff time may be applied before starting the uplink transmission. The backoff time may be WTRU-specific, WTRU group-specific, specified per access class and may be determined based on a priority basis. A scaling factor may be applied to the backoff time. A contention free allocation method may be used to determine the appropriate resource. The data may be transmitted with and without a preamble. The WTRUs may include machine type communication devices and may be grouped in accordance with a number of factors or characteristics.

  • Patent number: 9122786
Abstract: Certain example embodiments relate to using Complex Event Processing (CEP) techniques for statistical analysis of cache behavior and parameters, e.g., in connection with large, potentially heterogeneous data sets (e.g., “Big Data”). A dedicated stream mining operator registers a listener to a cache and receives notifications on cache operations. For selected element attributes, a first model estimates the probability density functions of the attribute values, delivering well-defined estimates of the attribute value distributions. A second model analyzes the time elements stay in the cache (“validity”). Validity is combined with the attribute value distribution. A meaningful analysis model (Cache Element Model) can be derived by combining additional summary statistics for the validity with the attribute value distribution, describing how long elements stay in the cache for attribute values of a specific region, and how the values are distributed.

If a firmware set is not yet released, the transmission system permits a change in a version combination of firmware included in the firmware set. As for a firmware set whose change is permitted, the transmission system displays a change button on a firmware selection screen used for selecting a firmware set to be changed/deleted. As for a firmware set whose change is not permitted, the transmission system does not display the change button on the firmware selection screen used for selecting a firmware set to be changed/deleted.

Abstract: Embodiments of a file transfer method and a terminal disclosed herein belong to the field of data transfer. The method includes: detecting, by a file sending terminal, a screen touching action of a user; after confirming that the screen touching action is a preset file transfer action, determining a to-be-transferred file according to the screen touching action, and determining a file receiving terminal that establishes a connection with the file sending terminal, where the preset file transfer action has a corresponding file transfer instruction; and performing, by the file sending terminal, a corresponding transfer operation according to the file transfer instruction. Therefore, a used connection manner does not need to be selected each time a file is transferred, implementing fast file transfer by using simple screen touching actions.

Abstract: A mobile device has a display that supports gesture-based control operations. Computers maintain connections to a remote access service. The user desires to copy and/or move resources between first and second of his connected computers. After receipt of data indicating a first gesture requesting an operation with respect to the resource, an overview of one or more target devices is displayed. The overview is a folder level view of all folders and files located on the target devices. In addition, an additional display element is shown. This element is a representation of the resource from which the operation has been requested. The element is displayed as an overlay, and it is adapted to be selectively positioned in the overview using a gesture. Upon receipt of data indicating a second gesture positioning the representation over an available location within a computer connected to the service, the operation is completed.
