Abstract: A graphical user interface related to non-standard settlement trading in financial instruments is provided. The graphical user interface preferably includes a selectable portion of a display screen related to a financial instrument and a selectable tab for accessing a selectable portion of the display screen related to one or a plurality of non-standard settlement positions with respect to the financial instrument. In one embodiment of the invention, when the tab is selected, access is provided to the selectable portion of the display screen related to the plurality of non-standard settlement positions.

Abstract: A web browsing device employing a touch input method and a web browsing method used in the web browsing device are provided. The web-browsing method includes: receiving a panning input on a screen on which a first web page is being displayed; and displaying on the screen a second web page according to a type of the received panning input.

Abstract: A method for browser software with a tabbed interface to suppress, or delay, the display of a dialog box that is initiated by an inactive, or background, tab. An indication may be provided to the user that a dialog box needing user attention may be provided. When that tab becomes active, and the web page on that tab becomes visible, the dialog box is then displayed. This suppression method may be applied to a variety of application programs.

Abstract: A palette-based graphical user interface for a computer-implemented system. The palettes can be customized in a number of different ways to make them more user-friendly. More specifically, methods, computer readable media, and systems for dragging and dropping a stack of palettes onto another stack of palettes to create a combined stack of palettes are disclosed.

The user interface comprises at least one software module installed on a computer readable medium and containing instructions for operating a computer processor. The human-machine interface system includes a communication interface configured to receive machine data from an aggregation server, a user interface configured to display graphical data to a user, and a processor coupled to the communication interface and the user interface. The processor is configured to process the machine data to produce first graphical data including a first human-machine interface including one or more tabs, transmit the first graphical data to the user interface for display, and detect a pointer indicating an interest over one of the one or more tabs. The processor is also configured to process the machine data to produce second graphical data including the first human-machine interface including an open drawer corresponding to the one of the one or more tabs, and transmit the second graphical data to the user interface for display.

Abstract: A sharing model enables users to easily and conveniently create and share standard and custom database objects, and applications, among users or groups of users. The sharing model includes systems and methods that allow users to conveniently create and customize tabs and tab sets that define relationships between custom objects and fields, standard objects and fields, and applications. A tab visually represents a user interface into an element of an application or into a database object. Selection of a tab provides a user access to the object or element of the application represented by the tab. A tab set is a group of related tabs that work as a unit to provide application functionality. New tabs and tab sets may be defined and tab set views may be customized so that an end user can easily and conveniently switch between the various objects and application elements represented by the displayed tabs and tab set views.

Abstract: Successively displaying panels in a computer user interface. A method includes displaying a first panel of a plurality of panels. Each of the panels includes different information. The computer user interface has a plurality of navigation controls by which a user can navigate to any of the panels to access its information. A first setting of the navigation controls causes the first panel to be displayed. A user input requesting access to a second panel is received, there being at least two settings of the navigation controls that will cause the second panel to be displayed. The method includes ceasing to display the first panel and displaying the second panel using one of the at least two different settings by which more of the navigation controls remain unchanged from the first setting. Methods may be used in hierarchies and in arrangements that do not form trees.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus, including computer program products, implementing techniques for business data processing. The techniques include displaying business data on a user interface through which users can view the business data and provide input modifying the business data. The business data comprises a plurality of business objects. Abstract: Graphical user interfaces for computer display devices include a page bar control element that allows a user to easily and quickly navigate among the pages of a multiple page electronic document and/or among the pages of a plurality of electronic documents. In some examples, the page bar control element displayed on the computer system provides a visual representation of a multiple pages of the document(s), wherein the visual representation includes several tabs or markers, each marker representing one or more pages of the document(s). In some examples, the markers are rendered in colors that enable quick identification of the current page and/or the page being viewed as well as pages viewed in a riffling action. The page bar control element also may include a visual “flag” that helps users quickly locate text that they have previously flagged or that the system has automatically flagged for them.

Abstract: In one of many possible embodiments, a system includes a media content processing subsystem configured to display an interactive search graphical user interface having at least a first viewing pane and a second viewing pane. A user may input a sequence of at least one character into the first viewing pane. A search results list including at least one entry based the character sequence and corresponding to at least one media content instance may then be displayed within the second viewing pane. The GUI provides information to a user regarding the first electrosurgical tool and the second tool in the surgical site that is concurrently displayed by the captured camera images. The tab groups may be displayed as part of a row or rows of tabs that provide the user with control over the contents of an associated view pane. The user can select a tab group to be currently active with respect to other tabs in the tab row(s) in the user interface by clicking on the top tab for that group.

According to one embodiment, among many, a computer readable medium is configured to store instructions that are executable by a processing device. The computer readable medium in this embodiment includes logic adapted to enable a user to group a plurality of manager views, wherein the layouts of the pages are to be set up by the user. The computer readable medium further includes logic adapted to enable a user to define the layout of each of the plurality of manager views and logic adapted to enable a user to define one or more columns of each manager view. In one embodiment, the Knowledge Marketplace System is a networked computer system comprising a computerized data processing and communication network operative to exchange data. The system includes a plurality of networked servers including a web applications server which provides an interface portal for Knowledge Consumers and Knowledge Producers to access the system and exchange information. Abstract: Under the present invention, when a user resizes or otherwise hides a column in the electronic table, a graphical indicia is displayed that represents the hidden column(s). If a user interacts with the indicia (e.g., by hovering a mouse/input device over it), a pop-window will be displayed that identifies the hidden column(s). The pop-up window can include icons representing each hidden column or an associated function. In addition, the method includes uploading industry representations and bar code scanning industry representations into the database. Upon selection of a particular object for editing, functionality available for editing the object is presented in a ribbon-shaped user interface above the software application workspace to allow the user ready and efficient access to functionality needed for editing the selected object. The display of relevant functionality controls is persisted until the user dismisses the display, selects another top-level functionality control or selects another object for editing.

Abstract: Content may be displayed on a touch-screen display of a device as part of a graphical interface in which the content is divided into categories or sections, and each category/section is associated with a graphical tab. The device may detect a selection of one of the graphic tabs based on a touch gesture received by the touch-screen display and display, on the touch-screen display, content items corresponding to the subset of content items for the selected tab.

Abstract: A method for transporting cargo using a truck is provided. Preferably, the method is used in connection with full truckload operations. The method generally includes powering up a communications module residing within a cab of the truck. The communications module comprises a vehicle navigation system, a modem for receiving telecommunications signals, a processing unit for associating instructions for cargo delivery locations with geo-positioning coordinates, and a user interface. The method further includes receiving a cargo delivery data set at the communications module. The data set is sent from a host trucking management system. The data set provides at least a first cargo delivery location for the driver. The method then includes the driver acknowledging receipt of the first cargo delivery location through the user interface. Acknowledgment of receipt of the first cargo delivery location causes a signal to be sent from the communications module to the host trucking management system.

Abstract: An on-line vehicle management system includes a vehicle group having a plurality of vehicles and an in-vehicle telematics unit in each vehicle. A call center is in selective operative communication with each telematics unit and an Internet-enabled program. The call center receives vehicle data from each vehicle in response to a predetermined trigger, and stores the received data in a database. The Internet-enabled program includes a Gregorian calendar with spreadsheet functionality. The Internet-enabled program automatically receives at least some of the stored data from the call center, and inputs the received data into predetermined calendar cells. The Internet-enabled program is also configured, in response to a predetermined user request, to i) render the received data accessible to an authorized user associated with the vehicle group, ii) generate reports based on the received data, and iii) at least one of derive or calculate information from the received data.

Abstract: A system and method enables one or more directories or qtrees on one or more volumes associated with one or more storage appliances (filers) to be combined or consolidated into arbitrary groups so that statistical information related to performance, operational status and other usage-based parameters can be made available to interested parties associated with the group. The directories can draw from different volumes and grouped so as to allow administration and access by a common group of administrators or users. The statistical information can be compared to threshold values to generate events. The events can be e-mailed or otherwise transmitted to interested parties. The statistical information can also be organized and displayed in a variety of formats as a web page on a graphical user interface that resides on a management station and/or client display of an interested party.

Abstract: A “Spatial Navigator” provides a document navigation environment that leverages user spatial memory. Graphical thumbnail-type representations (“thumbnails”) provide scaled versions of entire documents. Changes to documents are immediately reflected in corresponding thumbnails. Similarly, document search results are highlighted in corresponding thumbnails. One or more dynamic document selection windows present arrangements of a plurality of these thumbnails for user selection and interaction. Each dynamic document selection window provides real-time inter-file navigation by allowing user selection and opening of documents, or any location or portion of a document, through user interaction with the corresponding thumbnail. Once a document is opened, intra-file navigation is enhanced by providing another scaled version of the entire document in a dynamic scrollbar adjacent to a primary document editing/viewing window.

Abstract: A method and system for combining tabs of a tabbed document interface (“TDI”) is provided. A combinable TDI system allows tabs of a TDI to be combined to form a single tab of the TDI. To combine tabs, the combinable TDI system generates a combined tab name from the tab names of the tabs to be combined and combined tab content from the content of the tabs to be combined. If the width of the content is greater than what can be currently displayed in the window, the combinable TDI system may add a scroll bar to the TDI so that the user can scroll and make visible portions of the content that were previously not visible. The combinable TDI system then displays the combined tab and removes the tabs that have been combined. The combinable TDI system may also allow a user to split a combined tab into separate tabs.

Abstract: The proper visualization of a business process plays a key role in analyzing, changing, simulating and monitoring the business process. Most BPMS systems today, provide a modeling environment where the business user can define and visualize business processes as BPMN diagrams. Some more advanced systems (such as Savvion Business Manager) enable monitoring of the business process at run-time via a color-coded view of the process diagram. While process diagram is an important view of the process, it lacks the level of abstraction needed to provide information in an optimal way to the business users. The proposed visualization, called the 360 degree view provides an optimal view of a business process without losing important details about the process.

Abstract: The management of tabs in browser applications may be at least partially automated. In a described implementation, a link present in browser content information may include a link property indicating that the new browser content information targeted by the link is to be opened in a new tab. A browser application can therefore automatically launch a new tab without a user request. In another described implementation, a new travelogue created for a new tab may be initially populated with an historical entry that points to spawning browser content information and identifies the originating tab. When a user attempts to move backward from an initial page of the new tab, a browser application can therefore automatically redisplay the spawning browser content information at the originating tab.

Abstract: Software for dynamically previewing changes to hardware driver settings for a graphics adapter is disclosed. Changes to the driver settings are dynamically previewed by forcing an executable graphics program module to load hardware parameter settings as changed, and drawing a region reflecting the changes using the executable graphics program library. The graphics program module may be forced to load new settings as a result of being newly instantiated. Conveniently, a preview region reflecting changes may be drawn in place of an already existing preview region.

In various embodiments, the dashboard includes a weather tab, wherein invoking the weather tab advances to a weather screen. One or more designated views are generated providing navigation between members of a group of context-related process graphics. Each process graphic with a designated view is a member of a predetermined group of process graphics, where each designated view includes one or more tabs directly linked to other members of the predetermined group in the industrial control system. A system and computer program for carrying out the method are described.
