Some of the connecting links are embodied as cutter links, which have a cutting tooth formed on the main body, whereby at least one depth limiter is disposed in a manner so as to lead each cutting tooth. At least one part of the depth limiter is fixed in position on a chain link that is disposed on the inner side of the cutter link, and that edge of the cutting tooth that is disposed toward the front in a direction of travel extends parallel to that edge of the leading depth limiter that is disposed toward the rear in a direction of travel.

Abstract: A glass-cutting saw blade has an elongated body adapted to move transversely to a cutting direction and having a short leading edge extending transversely to the direction, a pair of long sides extending generally parallel to the direction back from ends of the leading edge, and a short trailing edge extending transversely to the direction and bridging rear ends of the sides. A grit coating is provided both on the leading edge and on the trailing edge. The grit coatings extend partially from the respective edges onto adjacent portions of the sides. In addition the body is of rectangular section. Such a blade can be a standard jig- or reciprocating-saw blade, or can be continuous and formed as a band-saw blade.

Abstract: A saw tooth for a circular saw for a feller includes, in one embodiment, a square saw tooth body having a multi-faceted shape to be mounted on a holder and for receiving inserts fastened to inwardly sloping seating surfaces on the cutting end of the tooth body. The inserts are provided with cutting tips and cutting edges to form angled cutting edges about the entire periphery of the cutting end of the tooth body. Notches are made in the seating surfaces and inserts in order to permit adjacent inserts to overlap one another, such that the angled cutting edges are strengthened at their junctions, thereby reducing damage of the inserts and improving the cutting performance of the saw tooth.

Abstract: A perforation blade is used for cutting a perforated tear line in a bag to form an easy-open corner portion. The perforation blade includes a base formed to span the corner portion of the bag. The base has a first end adapted to extend to the end edge of the bag proximate a seal line, and a second end adapted to extend to one side edge of the bag. A series of closely spaced perforation teeth are formed with the base, and are adapted to penetrate the first and second walls of the bag to form a corresponding series of perforations at the corner portion of the bag. A starter tooth is formed at the first end of the base, and is adapted to cut a starter nick in a skirt of the bag between the end edge and the proximate seal line. A burst protection gap is formed between the starter tooth and a first of the series of perforation teeth. The burst protection gap is adapted for safely receiving the seal line of the bag to prevent severing the seal line when cutting the perforations.
