The tank is placed on a platform in a mating relationship so as to engage a warmer plate to keep the contents of the tank warm. The capsule holder includes one or more encoding recognition systems configured to interact with encoding means of the capsule, and the encoding recognition systems determine parameters based on the encoding means. The parameters control the pumping system and are used for dispensing of the fluid through the capsule holder and through the capsule to produce the final fluid product by dissolving the product to be dissolved using the parameters. The dispensing system may further use user information to adjust the parameters.

The probe includes an efficient heat transferring structure in direct thermal contact with and wet by the liquid. An electrical sensor within the probe is in intimate thermal contact with the transferring structure and has electrical properties directly correlating with the temperature of the transferring structure. The transferring structure is attached to a supporting structure mounted to the wall by an elastomeric efficient thermal insulating material held in compression providing physical support for the probe and sealing the wall from leaking and insuring that the sensor is primarily thermally responsive to the temperature of the transferring surface and to the liquid but is thermally insulated from variations in the temperature of the supporting wall.

A predetermined amount of milk or rinsing water is fed to the coiled tubing (13) by a pump (10). Thus the milk and rinsing water usage is optimized and the energy consumption is reduced.

In the ‘released’ position, the filter carrier is still supported by the locking mechanism but it may be selectively removed from the receiver.

The filter prevents particulate matter from being dispensed in the infused oil. A sensor is included for measuring predetermined amounts of infused oil. Various flavored pods are provided for infusing seasoning, herbs, and other flavors into the base oil.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for making coffee-based drinks and to an arrangement in an apparatus for making coffee-based drinks. In this process, coffee is made by means of a so-called expresso method using hot water. High pressure and a short boiling time. According to the method, a strong coffee concentrate is stored in a hermetically sealed heat vessel and the concentrate is either used as such or it is diluted so as to obtain a desired strength at the moment of serving by adding a suitable amount of water to the concentrate in a mixing tank. According to the invention, both expresso-based specialty coffees and ordinary coffee are made by means of the same equipment. The invention also makes it possible to quickly serve large amounts of coffee.

Abstract: Taught herein are a precharged ground coffee capsule comprising a polygonal cross-section container body made of a liquid-impermeable material, the container body having an open end and a large axial opening formed in a bottom wall of the container body, two walls made of a liquid-permeable material being arranged on the open end and at the bottom wall respectively, the liquid-impermeable material comprising a metallic material support layer and a thermoplastic material layer, the thermoplastic material layer facing the interior of the container body, the permeable walls being coupled to the container body through the thermoplastic material layer, an outwardly projecting radial flange being provided at the open end of the container body; a method for producing the capsule; and an apparatus for implementing the method.

Abstract: An apparatus and method of flash freezing a tea-based liquid into small beads and then packaging the beads for consumers is disclosed. The beads are stored in a conventional freezer until desired and then reconstituted into a tea beverage base as needed. In particular, a warm or cold tea-based beverage may be easily and affordably created using the frozen beads.
