Abstract: A process of manufacturing a roll punch used for forming the partition walls on the rear panel of a PDP is disclosed. In the process of this invention, a forming roll is primarily coated with a mask on its external surface. The mask is, thereafter, partially removed from the forming roll, thus forming a plurality of regularly spaced mask-free parts on the forming roll. The forming roll is, thereafter, etched at the mask-free parts using ultrasonic waves within an etching tank, and so a desired roll punch having partition wall forming grooves is produced. This manufacturing process enlarges the width of the lands between the forming grooves of the roll punch, thus allowing an easy arrangement of address electrodes on the rear panel of a PDP. It is also possible to produce a desired highly precise roll punch by properly adjusting the intervals between the mask-free parts of the forming roll.

Abstract: Disclosed is an electronic range including a cavity, in which cooking of food is to be conducted, a heater chamber arranged over the cavity, an axial-flow fan arranged in the heater chamber and adapted to generate a downward flow of air, and a heater arranged outside the axial-flow fan and adapted to generate heat of a high temperature. A convection plate is arranged between the axial-flow fan and the heater. The convection plate serves to control a flow of air circulating in the interior of the electronic range to effectively convect the heat generated from the heater into the cavity during an operation of the axial-flow fan causing a repeated procedure of downwardly introducing the downward flow of air into the cavity, and then upwardly moving the flow of air along a side wall of the cavity. In this electronic range, food disposed in the cavity is heated, using reflection heat generated by the convection plates and convection air generated by the axial-flow fan.

Abstract: A control system for delivering a constant fuser temperature despite variations in the line voltage. In general, this is effected by a control circuit which employs closed loop feedback control to control the rms voltage across the load. This is accomplished by a circuit and method which functionally provides a continuous solution to the equation which describes the relationship between the temperature of the fuser and the temperature of a desired control setpoint. Briefly, the solution of this equation is obtained by monitoring, i.e. sampling, the temperature of the fuser, subtracting the desired control temperature, and then integrating the difference over time. The resultant time integral is used to control the operating point of a pulse width modulated power controller. The integrator has a time constant sufficiently long and the power controller operates at a frequency sufficiently high so as to render lighting flicker imperceptible.

Abstract: The method for hermetically encapsulating microsystems in situ consists, in a first phase, of mounting on a common substrate (1), several microsystems (6) surrounded by a metal adhesion layer (4) deposited on the substrate (1). In a second phase, in a common deposition step a first metal layer (7) is deposited by electrolytic means on each microsystem (6) and on an annular zone (7a) of the adhesion layer (4) surrounding each microsystem (6), so as to completely cover each microsystem by overlap. Subsequently a second metal layer (9) is deposited by electrolytic means on the first metal layer (7) and on the adhesion layer so as to cover most of the first layer with the exception of at least one passage (10) per microsystem (6), providing access to the first layer (7). The metal of the first layer is different from the metals of the adhesion layer, the second layer and the microsystem.

Abstract: The invention pertains to a method for providing manufacturing-related data in the large-scale production of manufactured objects, in particular, automobiles, which is characterized by the fact that a data collecting device is assigned to each manufactured object, with manufacturing-related data being input into the data collecting device at least in a part of the manufacturing sections of the large-scale production, and with the data being transmitted at least partially by the corresponding data collecting device to one central device during manufacturing. According to the invention, manufacturing-related data consequently are made centrally available in the central device and can be used for planning possibly required subsequent work. The planning of subsequent work consequently can be carried out when the manufactured object is still located in the manufacturing process. This considerably simplifies the planning of subsequent work and makes it possible to save time and lower costs.

Abstract: In a vehicle air conditioner where a foot mode and a foot/defroster mode can be set, when a target temperature of air blown into a passenger compartment is higher than a predetermined temperature, the foot mode is selected. However, even if the target temperature of air is higher than the predetermined temperature, the foot/defroster mode is selected in place of the foot mode when an outside air temperature is lower than a predetermined temperature and when a vehicle speed is higher than a predetermined speed. In the vehicle air conditioner, because the foot/defroster mode can be suitably automatically selected based on a fog-generation condition of a windshield, both fog-preventing performance of the windshield and heating performance of the passenger compartment are improved during heating operation.

Abstract: A threading mechanism for a magnetic tape machine is contrived so as to obtain sufficient driving power when the threading arm is latched with a leader block at a position where the leader block is stopped in a cartridge or a machine reel, and is also contrived so as to avoid impact force based on a driving motor even when the threading arm stops suddenly at the stop position. The positions where the leader block is stopped in the cartridge and the machine reel are inside a track of the threading arm which swings around its pivoting point and the leader block is threaded therebetween. A driving arm for swinging the threading arm is motor-driven around a pivoting point of the driving arm itself. The driving arm causes the threading arm to work together between the positions where the leader block is stopped, and cancels the working with the threading arm in the direction of the trace over the disengaging positions, so as to be swung.
