  • Patent number: 5226212
Abstract: A textile machine for processing textile material is provided having a control and drive unit and a feeding device for feeding textile material drawn from storage means allocated to the feeding device. The textile machine further includes a delivery device for delivering drawn-off textile material to a receiving container. The feeding device of the machine has an independent feed control unit associated therewith for independently controlling the operation of the feed apparatus in a non-dependent relationship with the processing machine control unit. With this arrangement, a continuous supply of textile material is supplied to the processing machine without the feed device control unit being dependent upon external commands. The feeding device control unit is completely responsible for the initiation and operation of the continuous textile material feeding process.

  • Patent number: 5052080
Abstract: In a method and an apparatus for producing continuous slivers of improved uniformity, open-loop or closed-loop control of the production process is corrected in dependence upon the absolute air humidity measured near the installation. • Patent number: 5018248
Abstract: A drafting system and autoleveller are arranged such that the "tongue" roller and the "grooved" roller of the sliver sensor ahead of the first drafting rollers serve to measure the thickness of the sliver therebetween, and their output signal is used, subject to a time delay, to vary the draft ratio in the subsequent drafting means. The autoleveller throughput speed is adjustable and the time delay in the draft ratio variation is automatically adjusted in response to the speed selected.

  • Patent number: 4825633
Abstract: Fiber material to be spun is presented to drafting equipment in the form of a fiber sliver and is subjected to pre-stretching and main stretching in such drafting equipment. While being stretched, the fiber sliver is gathered together to a minimum width which amounts to at least 1.5 times the diameter of a torsion device to be used with the sliver. After being thus gathered together, the fiber sliver is not further gathered together before having torsion imparted thereto while such diameter is maintained. The width of a condenser situated upstream from the main stretching field amounts here to at least 1.5 times the diameter of a pneumatic torsion device situated downstream from such field. The injector component and torsion component of such torsion device are of identical diameter, from their intake opening to their outlet opening. In this way, hairy and soft yarns, similar to ring yarn, are produced.

The cut-off devices switch off the electric motor (M), release the clutch (K) and actuate a brake (B) which acts upon the main shaft (H), and also an adjusting member of an adjustable disc (V) of the belt-adjusting gear (V and HO). The brake (B) can be relatively small, as it does not have to decelerate the uncoupled motor (M).

  • Patent number: 4477945
Abstract: Slubbing, which is to be drawn, is pulled from cans (25), which are mounted behind a drawing frame. The frame comprises a double draw head section with devices for filling two cans (7 and 8), which are situated at respective filling stations. The filled cans (7 and 8) are then automatically replaced by empty cans (2): A slide (15 and 16) moves two empty cans (2) rectilinearly, counter to the working direction of the draw heads, into the filling stations and simultaneously moves the filled cans (7 and 8) rectilinearly in the same direction into two removal stations (13 and 14). Thus, the replacement of the cans (7 and 8) proceeds very rapidly and with a minimal gap between the filled cans (7 and 8) and the empty cans (2), which avoids the need for the frame to be stopped. A device (M and H) for controlling and driving the frame is accommodated in a rear part (6) of the frame housing which is situated on the side of the removal stations (13 and 14) facing the filling stations (7 and 8).

  • Patent number: 3946462
Abstract: In accordance with the invention, the breaking and stretching machines have pressure heads, each one being essentially constituted by two opposed complexes, upper and lower, each one of which includes at least two transmission chains of the Renold type which are meshed with two chain pinions (double, triple, etc) fitted on two strong parallel shafts that are supported by appropriate bearings attached to the lateral elements of the machine bedplate; those corresponding to the lower complex are fixed, while those corresponding to the upper complex are moveable, so that the latter complex may adopt, with respect to the other complex, two limiting positions; one of separation, which permits the introduction of the layer of fibres, and the other, where the elements approach one another, to be utilized during the work and in which the pressure can be adjusted.
