  • Publication number: 20110049182
Abstract: An apparatus for dispensing a beverage may include separate pressure regulators to independently control pressure at a beverage source and also at a beverage pump. The pump may function to drive/draw a beverage (such as a beer) from a source to a dispensing station. In operation, the apparatus may be configured to transmit a pressurized gas from a source through one regulator and then to the beverage source, with the regulator functioning to control the pressure at the beverage source. The apparatus may also be configured to transmit gas from the source, through the other regulator, and then to the pump, with that other regulator functioning to maintain pressure in the system as the beverage travels from the pump to the dispensing station. This dual pressure control allows a user to maintain a beverage at a consistent pressure when traveling from the beverage source to a dispensing station.

In exemplary embodiments of the present invention, the method includes dispensing a liquid in a container via a dispensing opening into a dispensing space, where a difference in pressure between the container and the dispensing space is equalized in stages by using an intermediate dosing chamber. In a first stage the pressure is equalized between the container and the dosing chamber, then a quantity of the liquid is dispensed from the container into the dosing chamber, maintaining the pressure equivalence between the container and the dosing chamber by pressure communication between them. Next, the dosing chamber is isolated both as to gaseous and liquid connection from the container.

Abstract: An apparatus for applying bait to pest traps and a method of using the apparatus is provided. The apparatus has an elongate body having an interior cavity in communication with an opening at a first end of the body, a flowable pest bait pre-packaged and contained within the cavity, and a nozzle attached to the opening. A flowable bait is extruded on a bait pedal of a rodent trap by aiming the nozzle over a bait pedal of the rodent trap such that the user's hands remain out of reach of a spring-loaded bow of the rodent trap, and applying pressure to the flowable bait through the use of a plunger or the like. The user can then discard the apparatus.

Abstract: A spray solution generates a foam to sanitize surfaces. The spray dip solution is a mixture of the solution with carbon dioxide and nitrous oxide in a closed vessel. After ejecting the liquid dip solution mixture from a nozzle a foam is generated from the solution as the solution hits a surface. The spray can be applied to a number of different surfaces. In an embodiment of the invention, the spray can be applied to cow teats without risk of cross-contamination of the nozzle or other equipment. The generated foam remains intact on the teat for a prolonged period of time, increases the area of the teat in contact with the foam during the treatment period and disperses skin-conditioning fats present in the dip treatment, thereby increasing the coverage of the skin conditioner on and within the epidermis of the teat and surrounding areas.

A conductive heat serpentine plastic tubing system is also installed underneath the flexible tank allowing heat to liquefy the honey near the bottom discharge location. Nitrogen is introduced through an upper air purging valve and flow is controlled by a regulator allowing tank to stand and not be conducive to cling of product on the roof or the sidewalls and to assist in discharging product without need of a pumping mechanism. Due to the continued shape of the flexible tank there will be very little product loss allowing virtually all product to be expelled. The discharge valve will remain open when the heat is started and this allows the honey to be removed as quickly as it becomes liquid.
